Chinese style Buffet and Mongolian Grill (included with buffet) also includes Seafood favorites such as baked salmon and fried shrimp which both tend to be very good here. They now have sushi as well, although I have not tried it. Traditional Chinese fare ranges from good to adequate, I recommend sampling around and finding what you like. The orange chicken is usually quite good. Their "Chinese style beef stew" is usually very good and uses tender cuts of beef with veggies in a mild curry sauce. For desserts they have a flat-pan version of apple pie that is tasty and peach cobbler that is better than Ive had in some home-style restaurants! Desserts also include: fresh fruit, soft-serve cones, cookies and cakes, of which the new bundt cake choices are especially good. Service is usually good and the overall atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. One drawback to mention for those who use chopsticks: this restaurant provides cheap, thin, little chopsticks such as one might expect to find at a storefront Chinese take-out. For me, using Chopsticks is part of the Oriental dining experience, so I find this a bit disappointing. To leave it on a positive note, East Buffet has excellent, well-maintained restrooms. Always a major "Plus" at any establishment.

My wife was treated like worm dirt. Thats an expression Chinese use to describe women that they cant make money from by selling them into slavery. Every time she wanted a fresh drink of water, the service attendants refused to ask her what she wanted- only me! When the choice of a new plate came around, once again, she was neglected. When the service counter attendant was made aware of our disconcert, she merely wanted her services rendered... When I took it up with the manager, he only looked at the bill not me, therefore, I pressed the issue further. The only thing he did was laugh and excuse us from the restaurant. Finally, I suppose if he is lucky enough to care what others think of him, I hope if this lousy chain store even reads these, then he will understand he is lower than dirt and in hell he will find a new meaning to the word worm!

This is the first time we went at East Buffet Restaurant for lunch. We found food was good and well cooked. I like to have sushi and my wife Chinese so we got both under same roof, but sushi menu is very small with just roll items, didnt get raw fish in lunch. May be they have in dinner buffet but not sure. Lunch buffet was for $6.99 which includes lots of items from chinese dishes. Fruits and desserts were really good in taste and in many different varieties. If you like chinese should try atleast once...

My favorite place to eat when Im in town food is excellent the grill is perfect an the servers an staff are very polite an helpful. Best food selection in town for Chinese food if you know how its supposed to be cooked an served. Ive been going to this restaurant for just about 3 years now. Really is good food. Only bad thing I will say is avoid Sunday just after church. The rush is crazy

I had to pay adult price for my 9yr old and 11yr old because of the height requirement that I was not aware of until I went to pay They certainly didnt eat adult portions... Food was less than spectacular. It was warm but not the best flavor. Selection was good though, staff was friendly and apologetic when I asked about the adult pricing. It was a middle of the road meal.

There was so much to choose from, and even though we filled our plates a couple times we didnt get to try everything. The sushi was fresh and delicous. As for the mongolian meat bar I recommend beef with veggies, onions, some spicy pepper sauce, garlic, and lots of teryaki. And I enjoyed trying the different kinds of chicken. For $10.50 a meal I am stuffed!

My husband and I enjoyed our meal very much. The salmon waa wonderful but also caused me to eat so much there wsa no room for desert lol. My husband on the other hand still went for the peach cobbler after having 2 very full plates of a variety of foods, of which there were many. The staff was great. Very nice and atitive. We will be back.

The food, service and price were all above average. Unfortunately, being bombarded by the non-stop liberal editorial views disguised as "news" on CNN via multiple televisions around the dining area put me off my food and spoiled my digestion. I despise CNNs "fake news" and refuse to watch it in any environment. I will not go back.

The food on the buffet lines was not kept warm enough. My wife and I both became ill the day after eating here. An unattended child was digging through the fruit bar with his bare hands. When I brought this to the attention of my server, she simply smiled, nodded, and did nothing. I would not recommend this restaurant.

the orange chicken & sesame chicken was as chewy as rubber, they gave me the wrong beverage, the garlic toast was stale & it wasnt even a very busy day... and to make things worse we had to pay $30 bucks for this experience but in their defense the ribs were awesome and the restaurant was clean

We went to the lunch buffet. Nice spread of vegetables options. Onion rings, potato fries, corn fries, spinach lasagna, egg rolls veggie fried rice, noodles, soup, lots of dessert options. Totally worth the 9$ price. May not be the best Chinese food in DFW but good enough for a satisfying meal.

Absolutely disgusting were the words that came out of my lips as I exited this establishment. Everything tasted terrible, even the softserve ice cream. Over-salted, Over-cooked. As sson as I left this place I made a b-line to another much better lunch buffet in the area. Avoid at all costs.

If you want good healthy food without worrying about it being squad or alley rat then come here. This this is the only place in Irving that serves oriental food that I would dare touch. If you dont mind of you kids, everythings cool. The buffet tables are incredible and stocked at all times.

Really nice buffet and priced well. I love the healthy Mongolian grill along with the other chinese goodies. Wish we have more East Buffets in DFW area (sadly there is only one that I know of). My kids love going here - they try to start with the dessert! JThomas

I love the Mongolian grill, sushi was subpar, but thats to be expected at a buffet. Large variety of foods, in which are all great. We went on a Saturday night, so it was semi-busy, but thats the best time to go, so the food doesnt sit out for long.

Love the Mongolian Grill! It is really good. My boyfriend and I love to go here just for the grill. Tried the buffet and it is alright. The star of this place is definitely the Mongolian Grill and being able to eat as much of it as you want :)
