Hello all, this is the management at Martini Blu. We would like to first off thank everyone for there reviews. For everyone that had a great time we thank you for your support and hope to see you again soon. We did have a customer who did not have an experience of excellence. More specifically in regards to our dress code. We appreciate your concern and have since posted a dress code sign. Thinking back to that day, we did express that we have a dress code and we still allowed you and your party to come in and dine with us. For reasons unknown at the time you decided to leave. You then called back and requested the managers name and it was given to you and the call was immediately disconnected. We work hard to maintain an upscale establishment. We have had customers of all races and creeds who have come under dressed and we say the exact same thing to them all. If this is their 1st time we thank them for coming, let them know we do have a dress code and allow them to come in with the promise that when they return they will be dressed accordanly. We do apologize again that your experience was not an excellent one and hope that you will give us an opportunity to do better. We are in our second month yet we will never make an excuse. If you give us the opportunity, when you return ask for Mr. Terry and he will take excellent care of you. Cheers Management

I had a terrible experience dealing with the manger and because of that I would never refer anyone to this club. I booked a table for 12 people for my mothers birthday. I spoke to the manger verbally over the phone. He told me I had to put down a $100 deposit to reserve my table. I booked the table a week in advance. My mother got sick prior to the booking do I called 2 days in advance to let them know I was cancelling the reservations. At that point the manger then told me that I was not allowed to get my deposit back , something that should of been explained to me before I put my deposit down. Because he didnt tell me about the no refund policy he told me he would give me my deposit back. He then gave me a time to come up there to get my deposit back once I got there he gave me a story telling me that I have to come some other time I attempted four times to get my deposit back and never received it back Ive called and left messages no message was every returned. I nor will anyone in my family ever go to Martini Blu because of the lack of honesty.

Would have used zero stars but I had to use one on edit, we walked in and were seated by staff, then pulled to side by the management/owner Mr.Terry and immediately informed that their establishment enforces a strict dress code, no hats, no sneakers, which by the way I was wearing both, problem is that this strict policy is not posted clearly anywhere in, or to the outside of the place so it in turn makes Mr.Terrys admonitions come off as uppity and made us leave feeling as if we were profiled by the proprietor, in support of all black businesses I would like to say if these things are not posted in the foyer, "could I have enjoyed my lunch date first?" My wife and I found this place due to Groupon and I was blown away. I truly enjoy the lounge atmosphere. Server was fantastic, knowledgeable, and always available. My wife picked this as our second anniversary location and I am so glad she did. Guys if you want a nice place to take your lady this is the place. It was nice to see my wife dressed to the nines and have a chance to dance with her. We saw Kim Waters on the sax and he was awesome. Thank you Kim lol. Also the house band was fantastic. I am sorry I dont remember the bass players name but he rocked his solo. Doors open an hour before show, get there early for your choice of table.

My husband and I, alinh with friends, celebrated our 32nd anniversary at Martini Blu for our anniversary celebration. We had a BLAST! Could not have been a better place. The manager sat us at the VIP section and showered us with wonderful things. He and his staff was amazing. It was hot because one of his air conditioner went out but he did everything in his power to make it right...and for that. ...kudos. We drove from Clear Lake area and it was so worth it. The saxophonist was AMAZING! So, if you are looking for jazz and good food...go to Martini Blu on 1960. We will be returning.

We went to Martiniblu, for the first time, to hear Julian Vaughn. TWha was Awesome! The experience was more than I anticipated. Walking in we were greeted in a warm friendly manner, the decor is on point. I cant say enough about the waitstaff. They were friendly, helpfu, cordial, respectful and knowledgeable about the menu items. Food and drinks were excellent. Our waitress was Yasmine, she helped to make it a memorable night. We will defiantly be back. Hats off to you, on job well done.

Wonderful atmosphere. Music was awesome. Food and drinks were phenomenal, even though my waiter brought out the wrong entree. Would have been 5 stars had the server not had an attitude about splitting the check between 2 cards - she complained that her manager would have to run it with a crazy look on her face. And?! HOWEVER, we otherwise enjoyed our experience. Will definitely be back! To top it off, we got a FREE FRAMED PORTRAIT as first time visitors. A WONDERFUL place to go in Houston!!!

Great place! Great experience! Was there for 1st time with family, attending a birthday celebration. The music/band jammed; collaboratively a great fusion of talented musicians to groove with! We ordered a variety of niblers: calamari (to die for), crab cakes, and wings - everything we tried was on point. The wait staff, bartender, and especially the owner (Mr Leonard) were welcoming, friendly, and very attentive to our needs. I had a great evening. Thanks everyone! You were awesome!

Not what I hoped for. Left earlier than I wanted because the band was amazing. The food not at all. 5 out of 10. My ribeye was a bit chewy and the sauce not great. I hate to write negative reviews but its important to let others know about the experience. What upset me the most is that its a got the name Martini and you get served on s plastic martini glass. I sent My martini Back cause It was warm. My water was colder Them both of them. They did not try to make it right.

I attended a poetic jam at Martini Blu called Kings Night. The set up was nice. There are a variety of delicious items to select from the menu. It was very cozy. The event was hosted by Mr. Reverse It and Dj Remarkable jammed all night. Eleven men performed. There was also a book signing for Midas Touchs book Intimacy Uncensored. We had a great time. The atmosphere was lovely. This is definitely a spot for grown folks.

It was our first time at this venue, came on a Groupon. Music was great, food/drinks were really good, and the service was good. (Ryan and Lexi were awesome) We did not have reservations so we sat at the bar, still had a great time!!! We met the owner and he his wife, they sat us up front for the second show and we couldnt of had a better night. Thanks Martini Blu for giving us a new place to have "date night."
