Im sure the food would have been delicious... but it never came. Our waitress, not sure her name (short brown hair, purple nails, limp) forgot to put in our order. (April 30, 2017, 11:40-12:38) We waited patiently for over 40 minutes. She came over to tell us that the food would be an additional 15 minutes. My boyfriend and I only ordered eggs, bacon, biscuits, and 1 waffle. She blamed the wait on the kitchen needing to heat the waffle iron, even though waffles were coming out of the kitchen the whole morning. We cancelled our order at that moment. Ive never had to leave a restaurant because of this. Very disappointing experience. We could have eaten somewhere else and been on our way back to Austin in the time we wasted at The Cafe.

We waited for our food for one hour and never got it. One hour. Our waitress didnt even give us an update on our food or tell us that there was an issue. Instead, she actively avoided us. After waiting for an hour we decide to tell her that were leaving. She simply shrugged her shoulders. We asked another waitress for the manager in duty and she replied, "Hes busy in the back and I doubt hell come out." Fine, see ya. If they dont care about customers then I dont mind walking out. Well never go there again and when someone asks us about the "cute little cafe in Haltom City" well be sure to tell them about our experience.

Very bad....went in for a late breakfast...waitresses had no concerns for customers...waited 26 minutes for food...when i got up to get ck waitresses were huttled together had to speak up 3 times before they turned around...when asked for ck she said food was going up now...uhm do not understand how a restraunt can stay open with service like this...and do not understand how a owner can comment on good service and not on bad....will never go there again and will not recommend this place to anyone....by the way was my first time here and have lived in Haltom City for 15 years....

Ive been eating here for many years, and I have to say today was the first time I can say it really wasnt that. Our waitress was excellnt, and everything was good other than the food, it was just not the usual expectation. We were thinking, maybe, the cook was somone different? But definitely not the usual great food. We normally take leftovers home, not this time. The 2 stars, are todays experience only. All the other times, we have dined here, 5 plus stars. Hopefully this was just a rare occurrence.

Dont go to this place if youre under the age of 50 because apparently they dont care to even give menus to anyone younger than that. My friends and I sat down and waited to be helped while an older couple that walked in considerably after us were immediately helped. Not one employee said "hello" or "well be right with you" we mainly just got judgmental looks. After that we walked out, again without a word said from any of the employees. Awful customer service, and honestly not a very welcoming environment.

This is one of the best places to eat. The food is outstanding, the staff is efficient and friendly, and the facilities are clean and well kept. Since my wife and I discovered this place, it has become the where we we eat place. I highly recommend the Cafe as the place to eat. I have lived all over the world and the United States, the Cafe is world class.

this was one of the worst experience i have ever encountered for breakfast. they do not have a clue that 22 min for two eggs and toast is a joke. Mc D,s can do better than that. most of all at least it want take 22 mins. want be back and will make sure everyone is aware of the bad service

Dirty! And waited 30 mins for light breakfast because the grill was down.....then what did arrive was undercooked and cold. Good luck. Last time we were here, the food was ok but the waitstaff was arguing loudly. Sent back a full plate with no comment from them.

Came for a late lunch and had the chicken fried steak. Everything was good. Saw the negative reviews but had a good experience. Waitress was very nice and even checked with us before taking a 5 min break. I would not hesitate to come back. Thanks

My family and I live literally 1/2 mile away from this place. We love the food but the service was horrible and so was the wait on receiving the food. I highly recommend more cooks and servers, other than that we enjoy eating freshly homemade meal!

The owner is very much interested in his customers and does all he can to make my visit pleasant . The food is always prepared when ordered and is not under a heat lamp for a long time. This may take a little longer but is well worth the wait.
