Pulled up today to see they are closed. I will forever miss having their cakes for our birthdays and wedding anniversary. Ill leave my wedding cake review below: Love their cakes and the icing is out of this world! I havent found anywhere else in Dallas that makes their cakes and icing from scratch like Bakery by George! Ive been going to this bakery for 20+ years, so when my wedding came up, I knew exactly who to call. When I share a cake from Bakery by George I have to be prepared to pass out the address and phone number- it always gets SO many complements on taste and design. No one can work with icing like this bakery, their work is beautiful!

I emailed a picture of a cake to the bakery a month in advance of my daughters party asking them if they could do something similar. They never responded. A week later I called and asked the same question and the woman who answered looked up my email. She told me that they could not bake that cake. So I asked if they could do anything similar and she just said no. It sounded like she did not want my business, which is unfortunate because my family has been going there for years. The cake was not something too complicated in my opinion. It was just two tiers with fondant pieces.

Really loved the cakes here. Ive always gotten my cakes from this bakery and theyve always been the very best. Unfortunately today I found out they are now permanently closed, which is so sad. Ill just never have another birthday cake or be happy again...its fine. Already miss them. Went for a cupcake today and was met with a real life nightmare. It was raining too. Even the sky was in tears. This world is as cruel as ever. If only Id known that my last cake was the last cake Id have from here. Things wouldve been different.

I have had all of my birthday cakes, then my graduation cake made by this bakery. It is always a treat going inside and sampling all of the delicious pastries. The icing used on their cakes and brownies is the best in the entire world. The service is spectacular. All of the employees take time to answer questions and make sure the customer is always satisfied. I love this bakery with all my heart and go there for all occasions.

Best cake ever! Ive been buying all my cakes there since I discovered this place! I never have ppl throw away the cake when I buy from here like I used to with other cake. They are also super nice here. I will continue to buy cakes from them for every occasion I have.

Thios bakery is the best! Their ckaes melt in your mouth and their lemon bars are amazing. I have tried the craze at Sprinkles, and wished I had spent my money at Georges! Thank goodness Garland has had such a gem for so many years!

Nobody, makes a cake like George! That buttery, creamy icing, and a white cake that melts in your mouth. These are the best cakes I have ever eaten, and we have been buying them since 1984. Michael

A friend of mine who has eaten their donuts his whole life took me there for donuts. I know have my office hook. Their cakes are fresh and so are their petis fores. Highly recommend them.

Cake tasted horrible, was very expensive and it was messed up when i picked it up so they had to fix it and it was smaller than promised for the price quoted. Will not use ever again.
