WORST SERVICE EVER!!! I went here with my husbands family to celebrate his cousin turning 16 and from the moment we walked in we felt rushed. They make you wait until the entire party shows up, ridiculous but bearable then they sit you down and just hover over you. We sat in the Hibachi tables, great chef btw. We had our 1 year old son sitting in a high chair in between us and the dang waitress kept asking my husband to sit at the other end of the table-eventually i raised my voice and told her NO, HES SITTING HERE! From that point, i kid you not, the same waitress asked us if we were ready to order about every 30 seconds!! Horrible, we felt rushed the whole time. They started clearing our table and bringing out to go boxes while we were still eating! Food was pretty good, good sized portions compared to other Hibachis ive been to. Will never come here again!!!!

Theres a reason why the Palace is one of the longest standing Japanese restaurants in the DFW area. I believe it opened in 1975 and has been a proud Fort Worth tradition since. Pros: excellent food, generous portions, chefs who can cook and entertain, some of the best sushi you can get in DFW without paying an arm and a leg, friendly staff. Cons: high wait times during the weekends (gee, I wonder why?), little on the pricey side. As somebody complained before, dont expect to be seated at a hibachi before your entire party arrives unless youre planning on ordering for them, as they dont cook things on a plate by plate basis - its all done at your table, for your table. Ive been going to the Palace since I was a kid and its easily my best recommendation for hibachi or sushi in Fort Worth.

Food and atmoshpere are always great. On our last visit we were celebrating my sons 8th birthday. We had a great time until...the end of the meal. The reason why I took away a star is because earlier in the evening my husband asked for them to bring a slice of cake or a bowl of ice cream to our son at the end of rhe meal. What they brought was an entire cake...um ok, we can deal with that. However, then they started to slice the cake and handed pieces to the other guests at the cooking table. No problem, then they brought the bill and charged us $20 for a cake we didnt order that they servedto people we dont know. That was a year ago, if I had written this then they probably would have 1 star...its kind of funny now.

The place is nice and so is the staff. Before I start know this was to go, their hibachi selection may be different if eating there. The food is over priced compared to other hibachi places. The portions are decent but doesnt come with fried rice and thats always the best part. The soup is good, the salad dressing is liquid instead of the standard ginger slaw type its not bad but not exciting either over iceberg lettuce. The steak was cooked to order and good. Just feel like they should have better selection for the money and fried rice with the dinner and plenty of it like most other places. The Mixed drink was basically alcohol with color, so that is up to you to decide on that. Beer was cold though and good.

The family and I have been 3 times and each time was an enjoyable experience in spite of the long wait and crowded bar where you wait for your table. I would advise not trying to go around 7pm. Either go when the open or wait until around 9pm when the crowd clears and you can get seated fairly quickly. If you have never been to a Hibachi, this is a good place to start. While they dont server the best steak Ive ever had, it is a good cut of meat. A New York Strip is indeed a New York Strip, while a meal with "beef" does come with the thin strips a previous reviewer remarked upon. I would give a thumbs up to everything else, and recommend the seafood.

This place is the worst, had a reservation for 14 for my friends birthday party. We hot there 5 mins late and they gave our table to someone else . They told us it would be a couple of minutes and we ended up waiting an hour an a half . Also we couldnt sit anywhere because they had no waiting area, not to mention the food was overpriced and not worth the prices they were asking not to mention the overpriced drinks and bad slow service . First and last time ever. They have no sympathy for anybody and dont even try to reserve because they wont honor it . Stupid place , stupid service and mediocre food. KEEP AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

The service is top notch. The food is so fresh. I enjoy the "cook tables" when I go. The chef prepares the food on a cook top right at your table. In addition to some fancy maneuvers with his knife the chef and staff are always friendly and quick to serve your needs. Although the food is pricey it is WELL WORTH it. You will always have more than enough to eat as they are very generous with their portions. After eating at the Japanese Palace I have not been able to appreciate fried rice any where else. Truly amazing.

To bee11....sometimes servers know best where to place the little ones to keep them out of the way and safe...but im sure you dont care about that. And yes you should wait for your whole party for the cooking tables...but you dont care if people arent making money while your party takes their time to gather and others cant eat because your at the table. Im sure that waitress spit in your drink after you yelled...wow what class. Im sure there glad you wont be back. They dont need your money!

Japanese teppanyaki style restaurant. I have been there several times over the last few decades. Always enjoyed it. Food was consistently good. Service was always top notch. Lots of fun. Portions were just right. Its an expensive place to eat, especially if you get "the works" but, its a great place to go on special occasions or when you are celebrating. I dont mind shelling out the extra dollars if I am getting what I am paying for. Recommended.

Still the original. Used to be when I was a kid everyone would dress up very fancy to go here, now it is super casual. But very few places do people dress up for these days, too much effort in the Texas heat I guess? Place is always full, good to have reservation, but not required to get in, but you may have to wait for a seat. Food always good, always fresh, always a great show.

Awesome hibachi! This is a fun place to celebrate an occasion, like birthdays. They always ask if were there for a celebration. When Ive been there for birthdays, theyve even brought a small cake or gift to the person celebrating their birthday there. Ive always had a fun time and delicious meal here! Ive even caught a shrimp in my mouth, after the chef flipped it up in the air!

We visited this place for the first time and really enjoyed it. The place is very nice, the staff was exceptionally nice, the chef was great. My kids even ate the sauteed onions and peppers - that was a first, They also really enjoyed watching the chef and interacting with him. The food was very good as well. We will definitely go back and highly recommend this place.
