Very quaint romantic cafe! This is a neighborhood gem! They play great Latin Spanish music. Makes me think of Spain! The food: OMGee! My husband ordered the shrimp street tacos, it came with a side of salad the you can put in the tacos. The flavors were great!! I recommend getting it with corn tortillas! I ordered a steak sandwich with Pablano & pimento peppers (not hot), with mâchéngo cheese! The bread was a very flavorful sweet Hawaiian bread like roll! So good!! The steak was tender and moist. The only bad was the steak pieces were small--really small, there was more peppers than steak. It wasnt really one whole piece. Regardless yum! Also the food (at least ones we ordered) is on the greasy side! But still freaking yummy! Im going back to try the migas! Oh we tried the Venazuela cake, it was too rich for my taste buds. So next time we will try the quarto leches cake. Their coffee is wonderful! Get the French cafe au lait.

The waitress was so slow, unfriendly and seemed to care less about her job. No wonder, because she adds herself tips thinking most people do not check their credit card statements with their receipts. I dined at the McKinney Ave location for the first time a few weeks ago and it will be the last. After noticing she added $7 to her tip for my ticket and $8 to my friend’s ticket, I called and spoke to a manager just to let him know that he had an employee doing this. His response was that next time I came in, just to let him know and he would give me a free dessert or take $10 off my ticket. Ha, thanks sir but I won’t be coming back in and especially not now that you don’t seem even care that this happened. What a huge disappointment! If the service changed this could be a cool place---good atmosphere and food was pretty good.

The food was decent, not great, but good. Could not complain. I found stuff to be rude just before I left. I was in rush to leave, and after waiting for a check for almost 10 min I went to server to just pay and get to over with. While I was standing there trying to figure out the tip, the host marched very fast towards me and shouted something like "is there a problem here”...... I was little shocked thinking about something else, didnt know what was going on. I just replied something like, ”no we are fine” and very rudely said "so why do you look at me like this". I felt very uncomfortable. .......

Politeness is an unknown concept to the staff at this place... Arrived and it was only valet parking but not signal for it so I just parked a valet guy came shouting at me say I couldnt parked there... Then agreed to the valet and as I was getting down (still no hi or good morning) all i got was a "theres an hour wait"... Unfortunately didnt get to try the food because the lack of respect from the staff just lead me to leave the restaurant before getting g to the table

They mention on their website that if you have a special event and a party of 12 or more, you can make a reservation. I called this restaurant 3 times in a row to arrange a birthday reservation and each time was treated very rudely. The male manager, who I had never spoken to before, yelled at me telling me he told me a few days before I couldnt get a table. This was the first time I spoke to him. Very unprofessional and very rude behavior of the staff.

I visited La Duni, and I was more than impressed. The food was amazing, the place was beautiful, and the service was excellent. I recommend the Platon Campero as the appetizer. The arepitas and yuca fries were awesome. The baked Alaska was the absolute best dessert I have ever had. Overall, the restaurant is superb, and I would recommend it to anyone going on a romantic date, or to just a group of friends who want to share a great meal.

Ive come here before and it was a pleasant experience during off hours. Sadly, yesterday was not the same experience at all. We were told to wait about five minutes to be seated. After fifteen minutes, we were still standing around waiting. The hostess was nowhere to be seen. The entire staff seemed to be busy doing nothing. We tried getting another employee to help us and were still told to wait. We promptly left afterwards

Simply outstanding. Great Pan Latin cuisine, and great service! The mojitos are great, too. But the real star of the show is the cakes. We ordered the Tres Leches (3 milks) cake, and its hard to describe how good it was. Ive had Tres Leches from a dozen or so restaurants over my lifetime, but theres no comparison to the one at La Duni. The entire visit is worth it just for this cake. Definitely try it!

One of the best restaurants in Dallas. The locations are all elegant with reasonable prices for excellent food. The drinks are a little pricey, but theyre amazing and original. Of course, no trip there is complete without dessert. The cakes are amazing. Its also great for any time of day, with an extensive coffee menu & espresso bar. La Duni also hosts one of the best brunch menus in Dallas.

me and my wife went for the first time because i kept heiring that it was a great place to eat. Boy were they wrong, when we got there we had to waiters that jump over each other to get us a table giving each other bad looks and then they squeezed us against the wall net to a large group of people. It was so crowded that when the waiter served us the chips and water his balls were in my face.

Great food and service until dealing with the Owner. I received no customer appreciation. Had to follow up with her over 5 times via email, phone and text message to get a quote for a wedding cake. Love the food, but if the owner herself doesnt appreciate her customers or at least get back with them i see not point of helping their business. I will not return to this restaurant.

The drinks are definitely overpriced for the quality. Sparkling wine should not be an ingredient in a $10 drink. The staff was friendly. The food was subpa. Panera Bread sandwiches where better than La duni. Oh and dont eat off the small desert plate. Saw a waiter wipe the plates with the same rag he cleaned the candle holders with eww!

Amazing food. The schedule is a little frustrating though. I went to La Duni for a late lunch at 3:15 and found it "closed". The doors were open but they were only serving coffee and desserts. I wish they added that to the schedule. My favorite dish is the rice salad with chicken and a mango drink.

The food is absolutely AMAZING! Best brunch Ive had in a while. The waiters are a bit slow but I understand there is like an overflow of people all the time. Its best if you make an appointment before you go unless its just for two then youll get seated quickly. Also, their mojitos are a must try!
