We went here on a Friday night and were sat right away. A jazz band played in a corner which was a very nice touch. They were actually pretty good. This restaurant is divided into two parts - the main dining room with a bar and the band, and then a back dining room area which was closed when we arrived. A large party arrived and the back dining room was opened for them so they didnt have to wait - a nice touch. We started off with two glasses of wine. Both malbecs were recommended by the server and were quite good. We tried the suave empanada and the tuna empanada as appetizers, and we both ordered the shepards pie (pastel de papas) as our entree. The pastel de papas is like a giant empanada. It contains the same filling as the suave empanada and reminded me of a home-cooked meal. For dessert, I recommend the panqueques (two crepes with dulce de leche mousse) and not the creme brûlée (tasted too eggy). Overall our server was very friendly, and the hostess was also attentive to many tables. My one complaint would be sitting close to the main door. It was cold and windy outside and the opening and closing of the door was a distraction and I had to put my jacket back on to finish my meal. Not a huge inconvenience, but I would recommend not sitting anywhere near the main door if you can help it.

The scene: An Argentinean cafe located right in the middle of east 6th. Parking has sometimes been nuance for me, depending on the time you go. Good for both Lunch and Dinner, theyve always been extremely busy but Ive never had to wait long (if at all) to get a table. Perfect with a group of friends or a romantic date. Waitstaff have always been very attentive and super helpful with any recommendations. Good for: Ive always done great with their daily specials. They have something new every day, and each one more amazing than the time before. Must have: Gnocchi Quartet - four different types of gnocchi in a light and fresh sauce. The gnocchi combines great ingredients to truly surprise yourself. My personal favorite of the four is the cilantro-jalapeno. Its very light and delicious and uses the flavor of the jalapeno rather than just the heat. Dessert: Save room for the Quatro Leches, very light yet decadent. Good to split with your date/friends, but I can easily eat it on my own as well. Veggie review: They have a great selection of items, some including their main dishes. Vegans have a good selection of salads. I highly recommend the Spinach salad, removing the feta cheese. Monies: Dishes vary between $11-18

Argentinian steakhouse is synonymous with romance and Buenos Aires Cafe will impress from start to finish. The original location is charming, but the Hill Country Galleria location is also a delight. Definitely try Chef Morris’ Verdura Empanadas and the Churrasco Con Fritas with the signature chimichurri sauce. Delish. TIP: Open daily for lunch or dinner. Call for reservations. 2nd location in East Austin. They have bakery and catering available. Kid Friendly.

I went to the new location in Bee Caves last week because I had purchased a groupon. Overall, the experience was great. There was no wait, the live music was enjoyable, and our waiter was extremely helpful. I ordered the tri-colored gnocchi and thought it was a little bland but the appetizer we ordered was great. Based on my experience, I will go back and try something different next time.

Went here the other day with a bunch of people from work for a team building session. The waitress was very nice and helpful. She recommended that we order the gnocci. She said they were all made in house and fresh everyday. Which im definitely down for. She delivered them and they were everything she promised. Three different types of gnocci all different flavors.

Fantastic meal in the Galleria. Its tough to get good food in the immediate area but Buenos Aires Cafe is very good. Small menu and wine list, but the items are well chosen. The ambience was great (again, a hard thing to find in the area) and service was exceptional. Live music was unique and very well done. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Been here 4 or 5 times in the past few years and it is always a pleasant experience. Consistently yummy food, from a simple sandwich to a more complicated dish. on a recent visit he waitstaff was very helpful getting us in and out quicky so we could catch a movie up the street. A+++ would eat again.

We came here for lunch and to celebrate my husbands birthday. We were taken good care of and our server was excellent. The food was delicious, from the empanadas to the sandwiches and to the entrees. I know I had a happy birthday boy who enjoyed his meal and dessert.

My wifes chicken was dry and my beef was over cooked. Lived in Latin America for years. The restaurant was like an average Italian restaurant in Latin America. Not what I was expecting.

Food consistently good, though have had mixed experience with wait staff. Twice have had very impatient server and felt borderline unwelcome. All other cases are pretty excellent.

Small, comfortable, unpretentious and most importantly, delicious! Without a doubt one of the best restaurants in or around Austin. Dont leave without trying the empanadas!

Took my baby there for a quiet night out on the patio, fantastic food, had an excellent server named Andreas, and a wonderful overall experience. 5 Stars - will return soon.

Really tasty. Staff was attentive and can usually give excellent wine pairing suggestions for your meal. Try the Pollo al Horno. Warm, filling and light.

I was poisoned by the steak. One word: diarrhea. Only eat here if you want to pay 85 bucks to lose ten pounds the quick and dirty way.

Would have liked it more if they hadnt kept running out of stuff. Seemed like they only keep one beer of any kind in stock at a time.

Good food, not great. Served food on a plate that was chipped. Had to ask for salt and pepper. Fancy prices not par with the ambience.

The best reasonably priced restaurant in ATX. Everything is very good and its food you will not find else-ware.
