Tonight, I had one of the most disgusting culinary experiences of my entire life. I ordered a frozen margarita no salt. Came in record time...half way down I notice I cant suck anything thru my straw. I end of blowing out whatever is in it and fish it out of my drink. Little did I know, the object clogging my straw was a slug or grub worm. As the waitress walks up, I finish getting out whatever it was and we all notice its some sort of worm. The waitress grabs it and runs off. No one came by for a while after that. Once the manager finally did come by, he made light of the situation claiming it fell out of the tree. Now, maybe it did, maybe it got there from the machine. The way it was handled was insanely belittling and was embarrassing to see how little they cared about what had happened. The waitress was rude about at the end and laughed as if it was a joke. Overall, my thought was, I must have the worst luck, it fell into my small glass and immediately sunk to the bottom of the glass or it this is something the health inspectors need to check out. Either way, poor performance on how to take care of a customer that was scarred for life by one of your margaritas. Waitress was Taylor and Manager was Brandon. Customer was sickened.

We are always fans of Fish & Chips and this place serves some amazing food. It was a nice evening so we sat outside on the large patio which also welcomes dogs. The service was just as good as we remembered as well as the food. Between us, we ordered the - Fish & Chips: This is why we come here, for this meal... These pieces of fish are huge, not little nuggets. They deep fry these with a yummy beer batter and serve it with a really nice tartar sauce. The fish is thick and flaky - we love it! - London Platter: Comes with their famous fish deep fried in an amazing beer batter and popcorn shrimp. Only complaint is that you only get 1 piece of fish. -Zucchini Fries: Deep fried spears of zucchini served with Ranch dressing. Good. -Sweet Potato Fries: Perfectly fried and delicious! If you have not been here yet, check it out!

We stopped in here on the suggestion of some friends. Very cool environment and excellent décor. For an appetizer, we had the chips and queso. The queso was tasty, and very spicy. I had to try the Shepherds Pie, one of my favorite (Irish) dishes. I shared the photos of the pie. It was not bad by any means, just to be clear. The price (for the size) was way more than our Irish Pub (B.D. Rileys). It was strange in that it had a tomato on top of it covered in shredded cheddar cheese. Not sure if that is an English thing? The later of potatoes was really thin, as well. The flavor was good though. Our waitress was Krystal (like the Champagne?)... She was very attentive and made sure we always had what we needed. All in all, it was a good experience. I would definitely return here.

I liked it when it was the Alligator Grill, but another Sherlocks P&G is what you got. I dont get the fact they dont show UFC because it "promotes violence" but yet theyve got a James Bond poster in the guys restroom with GUN in hand. And what is Sherlock known for? Solving MURDER mysteries. Even Robert Downey Jr was in a Ye Old UFC scene in the recent Sherlock Holmes movie. I suppose they just have a guy who checks Id, he cant be a bouncer because that might establish they need someone to stop violence in a bar. People fight more from being drunk and arguing over non-UFC sports which is shown on every screen. To get down to it folks, dont come here on fight nights.

I think management actually goes out of their way to make the place as hot and uncomfortable as they can when they have bands and a lot of people out on the dance floor sweating their @sses off. They cant turn the ceiling fans up because they are on the dimmer that the (fan) lights are on and they want to keep the lights dimmed. Either put the fans on a different circuit or turn the d@mn AC down! Even the band that played tonight was complaining about how hot it was. And its not even summer yet! We have a large group that gives BS a lot of business and for them to ignore our requests to do something about this sauna-like atmosphere is totally absurd.

An easy destination to get to when you have drinking in mind. Vibe is chill, and there seems to be a fairly eclectic crowd that chooses to hang here. Prices are fair, and the patio is pleasant. And on many occasions Ive been there nights where there is much energy and music. Food, I dont know about. So I cant judge. SO, if you want a good place to drink, this is one of them on the early stretch of South Lamar. Post Update 11/21/16: Had half of a spicy Reuben sandwich(dont know actual name of sandwich) courtesy of my friend; which was delicious.

Had great time last night. Beer is cheap on Wednesday nights and they have bingo. I won a game and walked out at end of night with $20 more in my pocket than I had when I walked in. Nobody won $900 blackout jackpot, so it will be $1,000 next Wednesday. Better get there early because place will be packed by 9:00. Great atmosphere for folks of all ages. You can bring kids, dogs, or grandma or grandpa. Real nice outdoor deck under huge oak trees. Very conveniently located on S. Lamar @ Manchaca, near Broken Spoke.

I love baker streets drink specials and especially their $2 mimosas on brunch, but their customer service is seriously lacking!!! I waited 20 minutes just to be greeted by my server even after I had informed them Ive been waiting and they still didnt come for an additional 15 minutes.Im highly disappointed in their service. The food is great and so are the drinks but dont come unless you dont mind waiting 30+ minutes to be acknowled by wait staff. If it wasnt for their delicious sangrias I would never come back again.

I didnt try any of the food, but the grub that my party ordered (chicken tenders, quesadillas, potato skins, mozzarella sticks) looked pretty awful when compared with the same food at other bars and restaurants. The specialty drinks we had (Beatles themed... Google Places had a Beatles happy hour here) werent too terrible, but they werent great either. Though, the White Album (white sangria) was excellent. Dont come here expecting to get these drinks, though; theyre a special for today only.

Baker Street Pub is a great place to kick back and have a good draft beer or cocktail. The rooms are spacious and comfortable; and the wait staff is attentive and they provide quick and friendly service. The fried appetizers are pretty standard and uninspiring; however, they brilliantly stave off impending hangovers. I liked the British pub vibe, decor and the big deck. Also, the pub features live music entertainment which scores high on my scale.

This was a pretty cool place. I never even realized just how many bars are on S Lamar until I went to this place. Its really spacious, so theres always a place to sit. They have a pretty nice selection of beers and ciders here as well. The food is also incredibly tasty. On the weekend, they have bands come in to play. Its a great place to listen to music, enjoy some beer, play a few bar games, and have a good time with friends.
