watch your money,,,,, if you run a tab ,,, keep track of the drinks you are ordering,,, they pad the bill there. the more you drink the more they pad because you will not remember how many you had.... so take a napkin and keep track and let them know you are doing it, let them see you do it. so they will not pad it... it is a slum bar... even the music is not good because they dont pay for the music. there is no cover but most people would pay for a good band.... these bands work for tips.... how cheap.... but there is a lot of Gaylord workers that come there. they dont care about there money they are tired and want a drink and dont mind paying for it.... they also dont care about there customers, only there money... get them drunk and put them out the door... and there are about 3 other free standing bars.... to go too....

Went here after seeing Rascal Flatts at the Opry in may of 2012. On stage were the Music City Playboys (a revolving group of nashvillians with a song repertoire longer than the phone book). Beers are about $4 (Not bad). Didnt eat, just had some beer and watched the band. The music was great and seems like virtually every one in the bar was a session musician from the nashville area. If you are staying in the Opry Land area, highly recommend swinging by to catch a band and have a beer. Minus the Music, rating is probably 2 to 3 stars.

My first real trip Nashville for a recording session, our hotel was nearby and this was the only place open late near us after our session all day. Had a great time, staff incredibly nice and cool, super accommodating. Heard a tune I liked on overhead jukebox or P.A., asked the bartender who it was, learned it was a local guy, the bartender informed the owner about it, I wound up with the owners CD to take with me. So cool, everyone so welcoming.. The band that night, the Music City Playboys, were excellent.

Classic spot and the closest youll find to a honky-tonk in the Opryland area. They usually have live music. If this place opened during packer games, put a Packer sign out front in the parking lot they would make bank off the people from Scoreboard. Sometimes you cant get a seat at Scoreboard or a lot of people just like to bounce around. If they take my advice they will seriously make a lot of money to put the games on those days. Overall I love this place sorry for my tangent.

This is the worst BAR in Nashville the Drinks are Nothing and should be served in a Dixie CUPS,, And the service or the lack there of,, I had the extreme displeasure of meeting the Owner,, Lets just say customer service is NOT in this guys vocabulary or Bar. And I believe he is suffering from the little man Complex and is obviously OVER COMPENSATING!! STAY AWAY!! Go Across the street or anywhere other than Napoleons Bar..

We were staying in the area and wanted a late night beverage. We happened to come here. We were in Nashville for 5 nights and we finished each day here. Excellent service each night. Special thanks to Amy, or bartender most nights. A dark, smokey, live country music dive. The food was way above par for bar food and the adult beverage prices were reasonable. Love it! We will be back, each night, our next visit.

Great music! But eat before you go. Ordered a pizza, took forever to come out. I think they forgot about it and left it in the oven. The pepperoni was black it was so burned. All the bartender asked was "are you done?" after I left it on the bar only having taken one bite out of it. I should of known better than to go to a place that caters to tourists. They dont really care about return customers.

Its a medium size room with live music and a decent selection of beer on tap and liquor. I like going to see live music in uncrowded spaces, and Monday nights are generally the most uncrowded. There is smoking inside, which is why I took a star off. I have to wash whatever jacket or hoodie I wore in, the smell is so strong. But the bartenders are awesome.

Upon walking into this place my friend commented that it "smelled like a bathroom." Was given nothing but a seriously rude attitude by the bartender when we asked for a drink menu. Left immediately. They didnt deserve a dime of my money if they couldnt even crack a smile and treat me like a human being. Wont be going back.

If you read the last post youll get.the picture. They rob you, period! Ive been there twice & each time they padded my tab & overcharged me to a point that is just plain "criminal" they steal bottom line! Stay away from this bar! Im a local resident.& Ill never go back! THIEFS, period!

For a gun night of fasting, the music city bar and grill is the place. Service is probably the worst in Nashville cant say anything about the food it still hasnt arrived. Same time and trouble rather listen to the radio and eat at sonic!

Its an old school country bar with the best raw music and normal bar food. Bartenders are attentive and friendly. Definitely a great place to go! P.S. Giving it 4 out if 5 stars because its not a hoity toity bar. Its a real bar. :)

I had a great time here, with the band playing but if there wouldnt have been a band it would have probably been a lame experience. Drink prices are not too bad and the band gave us free CDs. Probably worth checking out.

Old school Nashville bar where you can eat drink shoot pool and listen to country music. Free parking! The place to go if you are staying in or by Opryland and dont want to drive or uber downtown.

Walked in and sat down with no "welcome", "hello", or anything. Sat there for 10 minutes and didnt see anyone except the bartender. We wanted a place with service so we left and went next door.
