I moved to Maryland in 08 and have not been back to this little gem in Columbia TN since, unfortunately. Being a California native, home of the best Reubens and I am a critic.....The Square Market Cafe makes them just as delicious! They know how to make everything right! Miss the gals who own it, all their collectibles for sale (still have my large red glass canister) and I hope to get back soon one day!

I have to say that this place seems like something you would see in Brentwood or Franklin. The waitress was very friendly and treated us with down home country hospitality. The food was amazing and the music was just right to create a romantic mood. The price is a little high, but you do get your moneys worth! We plan on comming back and getting Colleen to serve us again!!! GREAT PLACE TO EAT!!!

This place is amazing! So far Ive had 3 of their soups and all 3 were superb. You have to get the crab bisque on Friday! The eggplant pannini is delicious and they manage to serve a crispy edge even with all that sauce and cheese on it! My daughter had the Reuben and said it was also wonderful. And their outdoor seating is pet friendly! Definitely our new favorite spot!

First trip there was great! Great service and food! We loved it so much we came back on a Sunday around noon. My wife went in to get a table and she was told that a 1pm reservation was coming in and they did not have any room for us. No problem. But it was 12:10 and the restaurant was practically empty. I would have given a 5 star if not for our last visit.

Absolutely a delight! Service was excellent, we were seated quickly, our waitress was attentive & pleasant. She offered us a sample of the soup of the day. Which was a wonderful salmon chowder. Our drinks never fell below half empty, she knew the menu well, and even offered to-go drinks. Food was excellent and very fresh. Would definitely recommend!

Square Market is a great place for lunch in Columbia. Everything Ive tried has been great-salads, paninis, pasta. You wont find anything else like it in Columbia, thats for sure! Make sure you try the carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. Its worth skipping lunch for. Also, I saw it featured in Tennessee Crossroads and in Southern Living.

I eat out often due to my travel schedule. Rarely do I find a place like this where the service, food, and feel match perfectly! I didnt even look at the menu the lady waiting on us said you should try the breakfast burrito, I did and it was shockingly good. Fresh ingredients and Tennessee charm make this my new favorite spot.

This is a great lunch or dinner place. They have the most amazing crab bisque I have ever tasted! If you are looking for delicious soups, sandwiches and decadent deserts, look no further! They have a beautiful glass display of chocolate truffles in lots of flavors and cheesecake, pecan pie, chess pie, chocolate cake. Yum!!

We ate there with some friends last night and loved everything. Its a small restaurant, so we were close to other tables, but there was live music, a great atmosphere and great food. Dessert was an excellent ending to our outstanding meal.

Nice spot for a quick lunch or a fantastic dinner. The dinner menu changes often and the food is very good. They also have a truffle and chocolate case full of yummies. Its tucked away in a corner but you dont want to miss it!

Love, love, love this place! Great for lunch or a nice, quiet dinner on Friday or Saturday nights. We have caught live music a couple of times, and they play ir soft enough that you can still have a dinner conversation.

Went in and ate a late lunch around 3pm. I was greeted kindly as soon as I walked in the door. I sat at the bar and had the signature club panini with a bowl of Chicken queso soup. It was very good and fresh!!

Its unusual that I eat at the same restaurant, yet get the same dish two days in a row, but the chicken salad here is off the hook. The carrot cake was great as well. Great service, cute owner...Ill be back
