Once you get past the fact that, yes, it really IS a gas station, the takeout food is actually pretty good. We missed out on the chicken and ribs (which had sold out by early afternoon), so we grabbed a bunch of pulled pork, along with some potato salad and cole slaw. The pork was good, not great, but the sides (potato salad and cole slaw) were delicious. Definitely try the hot vinegar. Also, we devoured two of their pies (cherry and fudge).

This is THE BEST BBQ in Northwestern TN, period!!! The pulled pork is incredibly hickory smoked and very moist !!! And when you get one of the plate options, like BBQ sandwich, and two sides of your choice ($5.19), you will get a sandwich that is overflowing with that great BBQ, not a tiny scoop or something on two buns...wow! is all I can say....I wish I would have discovered this best kept secret of Clarksville, TN sooner !!!!!!!!

It is a sure enough unexpected BBQ joint in an unlikely place. The Ribs, Chicken, and Pie were delicious. The service was prompt and very respectful. We waited a whole two minutes for our food to be ready and it tasted fresh off the rack. Beans, Cole Slaw, and Potato salad were exceptional. Highly recommend taking the drive out and well make it our go to place when weather doesnt permit and BBQ is on the mind.

This place has been the best BBQ in the Sango area for a long time. I think it was Big Daddys BBQ back then. I remember getting homemade bologna sandwiches with everything on them for like a buck. I miss living next to Excell. I remember the owner guy would ride his ATV back and forth from his home to the store all the time

Only been there one time for the BBQ, it was very juicy with a nice flavor but not much bbq sauce. We plan to try it again though. Nice, friendly people and the place was thankfully clean, with "fresh" food!! :-)

Its not gourmet.... its gas station BBQ people. That said, it is the best BBQ in Clarksville, and you get a lot of Q for your $. To get better Q hit up Red Top in Guthrie. To save time or $, Excell will do.

Odd place for bbq, but my god is it good. The people are kinder than your grandma. Homemade bbq sauce as well as carolina style sauce. Im a food critic to the core, trust me its worth the drive.

This is the best place for BBQ in Clarksville. The meat is perfectly smoked and juicy. I just wish they gave an extra bun for all the meat. Very delicious.
