I am boycotting Starbucks, Teavana and Barnes & Noble. The prices are high, ingredients are very poor quality, and service through their business practices are overly complicated. That being said, when I saw Port City Java, I had to try them. I look for private or small owned coffee shops now. I was happy with the prices, service, ingredients and exceptional flavors. I only wish I could replace all the Starbucks for this place so I wouldnt have to travel half way across the county for a decent coffee and coffee shop.

The place is great, I love this coffee, but I think the people makes the place too and thats why I took two stars off, I was there on Sunday and I asked the person if they had an app, she answered so indifferent"I dont think so"...when I got my coffee I asked if they have agave syrup, she answered "what? I dont know what you are talking about"...so rude. Well, coffee is really great, so I will update my review soon after visiting again.

Every time I walk in here, I am more and more impressed with how nice everyone is, how welcome I feel, and how yummy the food and coffee are. The manager is the sweetest - he always has a welcoming attitude, seems to treat his employees very well, and even brought me a sample of a special kind of coffee as I was working on my laptop in their shop. And I LOVE the outdoor seating on Main and in the back!!

Port City Java serves the best coffee downtown. I have come here almost every day for over a year now and have tried many of the espressos, smoothies, and milkshakes on the menu. I have never been disappointed. The staff is always friendly and willing to help you figure out something new if you dont want the usual.

Delicious coffee drinks, from the House Blend to the espresso drinks, both hot &cold, delicious food served all day, fresh bakery and pastry choices, a very friendly & knowledgeable staff, all in an awesome location with great prices. Decent playlist, beautiful art, and fast WiFi. 5-Stars..

I was heart broken when all the PCJs in Greenville closed due to the economy. Equally I was beyond over joyed at finding this one months after it opened! We ALWAYS make a trip when were downtown. (which is weekly during the summer) Starbucks doesnt come close, keep up the great job!

Excellent! We stopped here on our visit to the wonderful city of Greenville, SC, and we had a great experience! The coffee was delicious, the smoothies were great, and the staff was extra friendly! As a bonus, the bathroom was immaculate! I highly recommend this cafe! A +

The Port City Java shop is part of a chain known for excellent coffee and light bites. There is an enormous variety of flavors to choose from, as well as the classic espresso drinks. A great place to stop for a beverage and nosh in downtown Greenville.

Really great coffee. The drinks are not over-priced unlike a similar coffee shop, service is fast, workers are super sweet and will do their best to make you happy. Place is kept clean, really quiet nice place to sit down and get work done.

It is OK. Coffee is mediocre, but there is a large menu and it is clean and attractive. Staff friendly and hard working. Parking was very easy, too. If they could improve the coffee it would be very nice.

PCJ has the best coffee in the area. Quality lunch offerings and pastries. Very knowledgeable about the products that they serve. Also, PCJ doesnt pressure you into a tip like the other guys.

I like this place. I got a strawberry mango smoothie and it was pretty good. I think it had natural ingredients and not a puree. My buddy got the muscadine smoothie and he liked it as well.

Great coffee and service. I find myself very productive here. They do roast their own coffee which includes some organic roasts. My favorite place for coffee hands down.
