I was at Newport Hospital for a few days and have been taking walks down the street to take a break from the hospital vibe. This bar looked nice so I went in. The 2 girls behind the bar were terrible. Probably because I had a hat on. I went in with a smile and left with a smile. I was told I wouldnt be served because I had a hat on. I said "OK thanks" and left. I guess that its their policy. I wear a hat frequently, I also take it off frequently. If I am going to buy a beer at a bar I will do so wearing a hat if I please. They didnt want my hard earned cash and they will never get it now. Love Pour Judgement though that is the place to go, just a minute walk down the street. I try and give you money for a beer and you tell me I cant wear a hat in your bar. I will wear my hat in another bar, right next to yours.

Noreys is my favorite spot in Newport for serious craft beer. It is tucked away on Broadway Street amongst dozens of other bars and restaurants, but it stands out once you step inside. Upon entering, you are greeted by nearly impossible beers to find on draft in Rhode Island like De Dolle (yes Stille Nacht!), BFM, and OEC. I was also there for their Stout Tap Takeover when they had Black Albert Russian Imperial Stout, KBS Stout, Bourbon County, Speedway Stout, My Blueberry Nightmare, and other tasty treats. The food is also very tasty, especially the Smoked Wings and Baked Quattro Formaggi. There are other bars serving decent craft brews in Newport, but the quality doesn’t compare. Im not sure how they get this kind of selection, but I hope they keep doing it.

Noreys has the best craft beer selection I have ever seen. If you are a specialty beer lover, the 150+ beers they have available will have you feeling like a kid on Christmas morning. The ever-rotating tap list is jammed full of the rarest and most desired beers available in RI, such as Stone Imperial Russian Stout and Unibroues La Fin Du Monde. I work at a liquor store with what I thought was a good selection of craft brews, but I was blown away to find a bar that seems to carry only the best of the best. The food is great, decoration is stylish, music night on Wednesdays has some of the best band to show up in Newport...but seriously, this place is about the beer.

On my third visit...-- love the rice salad!! -- it was a little after 5:00 p.m. and the door was propped open but the door was blocked by two chairs... I asked if I could come in and the tart reply was oh yeah, we open at 5:00 but were not ready...come back in 20-30 minutes. Really? What kind of customer service is that? Why not seat me, explain that theyre running a bit behind and offer me a beverage. Guess their return, local customers arent that important to them. Looking at some of the other reviews...service isnt a concept Noreys staff grasps. Not sure Ill go back. Ill try to get the word to Norey personally. Sad. Really sad.

I took my girlfriend to Newport for a weekend getaway to celebrate her birthday, we had a great time. We stopped into Noreys on Saturday night minutes before the kitchen closed and ordered some food and drinks. We had a wonderful meal and then stayed and hung out with the owner, Tyler and his staff and did some beer tasting, what a great night, definitely the highlight of our weekend! As for food I got the Chicken Pesto, my Girlfriend had the Pumpkin Pasta... WOW to both!!! We will most assuredly be going back whenever we are near Newport!!!

I started frequenting Noreys in Newport to see the CotePercussion Jazz Quartet and have since enjoyed going back monthly as well as on several holidays. The beer is delicious and cold, the food is phenomenal, and the staff is beyond friendly and fantastic. The desserts are freshly homemade each night and I enjoy the variety each time I go! The atmosphere and decorations are also awesome - warm and eclectic without being cluttered or rowdy. I highly recommend Noreys and always look forward to the next time I can go!

Outstanding beer selection. Its fairly pricey per pint (or 10oz/12oz pour, depending on the draft) so be advised that your check average might be a little higher than you were expecting. Food is pretty amazing too and the menu rotates fairly frequently. In all honesty, this is usually the place that we go to have a few beers and an appetizer before walking down the street to get dinner elsewhere. Dont let that stop you from trying some of the entrees though.

Last week I had some friends from Colorado visiting. Knowing they are use to some of the best beer selections I knew Noreys would be the only place to offer these guys something special. I wasnt sure what the food was going to be like, but in fact it was delicious. Id say its one of Newports best kept secrets for tourists. Now that Im a local Im understanding why so many people go there! Clean, too. Awe...just a good place.

Lucky to have such a great beer selection downtown with some great food to go with it. Make sure you leave time to get your order though... Can get a little backed up because the Chef is very meticulous. Worth it though. Jazz on Thur, cool bands on Wed night. Place to be late, especially with classic B&W films.

We are not sold on this place I would recommend pour judgement. Beer was good but could of been better if staff new more about the menu. Food was okay but out took too long to get our food. The owner needs to do a better job on the staff knowledge on the beer menu and hire some help in the kitchen.

Great beer selection. A little strange that you cant do beer tasting for certain beers on tap. Some are very expensive and itd be nice to experience new beer flavors but without the tastings, it gets too expensive. Service is fine. The best wings, though!

If you want some great brews, stop by Noreys. Located on the locals end of Boradway, Noreys offers a relaxed but frenzy atmosphere. With the great food added in this place is a good start to the night. I even vote this place best wings of Newport!

Ridiculous and angry establishment where they insult you to patronize it. They seem to be ignorant to any service whatsoever. There is no help or knowledge in choosing food or beer and they will not help you in any way.

Food was interesting and good. Servers (Bartenders) were an absolute treat! The Chef (Owner?) was less than appealing, doesnt seem to treat staff well and isnt the best with customers either.

Ran into Mz Norey on St. Pattys day and she told me about the military discount. Been a regular ever since! Expansive selection of choice brews, and Tyler the chef is FIERCE on that grill!!!

Very good pork chop special. Local meat, wild rice and perfectly cooked snap peas. I will go back. I wish they had a full bar and it would be all-in-one for me.

A beer list that rivals most beer bars in Manhattan. If you like beer, you should be drinking here. Life is short, drink nice things.
