I was really delighted to see an indian restaurant open in Tewksbury. They had a great opening and the original guy who started the restaurant was very friendly and understood customer service. But since then looks like his relative is running the place. Worst Indian restaurant North of Boston. There is not enough chefs or enough staff if you wish to order take out they will say 1 hr whereas it is 15 mins in most of the places. When you go to pick up the food they make you wait another half an hour. If you dont have enough staff then say no to new orders. The same person at the front desk takes the order he goes back and packs the food. He is the same person who rings you up. So you dont have to pay anyone.. most of the reviews are written by his friends. Please stay away from here.

Our experience today was excellent! As newcomers to this cuisine, our host provided us with suggestions, answered many questions and offer tastings for us to experience a variety of flavors. The food was hot upon arrival and had very complex layers of seasonings. We enjoyed samosas, several chicken dishes, salad, soup and naan. Every dish was delicious and exceeded expectations. One member of our party indulged in the buffet and enjoyed a variety of foods, all reported to be great. We were celebrating our sons 18th birthday and were pleasantly surprised when music was played and a chocolate cake was brought to the table! I would highly recommend Mehfil to anyone who loves Indian food or wants to try something new.

Loved this place! We wanted to check out something new and I got excited when I found out Indian cuisine coming in Tewksbury. If you like chicken tikka masala it was delicious and was plenty for two if you get naan bread and another app on the side. We also tried the honey sesame chicken and tasted great with the rice as well. The place is fairly new so wasnt very busy around 7pm for dinner on a Friday night but did get busy before we left. I recommend this place if you have never tried Indian cusine and if you have but want to try a different style of it. Vegan options are always good too!! The chips and dip were very addicting.

My husband and I have been here several times and have not yet been disappointed. The waitstaff is friendly and accommodating and very helpful in helping me choose dairy and gluten free foods. The buffet doesnt have a wide array of choices, but what is served is very good. The basmati rice is soft and fluffy. There are several delicious sauces to choose from. Every soup Ive ever tasted has been outstanding. Were so happy to have a really good and authentic Indian restaurant close by.

Sadly not impressed! I have experience with many Indian Restaurants both local and out of state and was looking forward to a much closer location. I believe the chef needs to learn how to cook this type of food. The mint chutney was watered, and the Tandoori Chicken was similar to grill chicken with seasoning on top.The place itself was clean and pleasant. I do wish success to any new restaurant, however I believe adjustments need to be made.

Wonderful food at a reasonable price. Usually go during the day for the buffet but went last night for dinner. The dining room looked so elegant with white table covers, red napkins and live red roses on each table. The owner was so gracious and helped us chose our dinner items. The wait staff is very attentive. The food is cooked fresh to order so be prepared for a short wait. It is worth it.

Disgusting as hell! We came there, the owner I believe offered us table. We sat there and there were 3 families that came after us sat down. We dint even get water and they already got their appetizers. It was not at all busy. Me and my friend left, he dint even ask whats wrong or can I help you! Wasted 20 mins for not ecen getting water! Never going again!

Excellent service, ambience and food. Delicious tandoori seekh n chicken kebabs , chicken tikka, sizzlers, fish dishes , dal tadka and naans. Restaurant manager Tipu was very respectful, polite and took orders to specifications. We came for team lunch and everyone had great experience. They also have party function hall for larger group Loved it!

The food was amazing. So tasty and filling. The dinner buffet was $15 and so worth it. Im vegan, and the owners were so happy to show me all the options in the buffet I could eat, plus made me a couple special dishes to add to the buffet when I came in. Excellent service and very nice.

Excellent food quality and taste. Little pricey when compared against quantity but delicious food. I tired the plain naans they were freshly made and great tasting, Chix tikka masala had excellent flavor and Goat briani with generous amount of meat. Hats off to the chef!! great job!!

This is our new favorite restaurant in town! We went for the lunch buffet, which offered plenty of vegetarian and meat dishes that were all delicious. We are definitely going to be heading back there soon. The atmosphere is fun and the food was incredible!

Really good authentic food and great service. Highly recommended. Especially loved the chicken biryani. No lunch buffets on weekdays. I would recommend doing a simpler (4-5 item) lunch buffet on weekdays. Ill try out the weekend buffet at some point.

Some of the best food Ive had. We went on Valentines Day. They were unfortunately short staffed that night, but they certainly made up for it with their service. I have since ordered take out from here. Definitely my new go-to Indian food place!

This is our new favorite restaurant in town. The host is very friendly . Good Food for a reasonable price . We enjoy the buffet more as I need variety . Ambience is also great. But I rated only 4 as their service on regular day is pretty slow.

In sunday last week 13 August we had a party I ate food in night after 2:30 am iwake up broken my sleep at midnight I felt pain stomach till 11 morning it became diareeha vomiting I went emergency my doctor told me it was food poisoning

Great choice of vegetarian and non veg tasty food. Friendly staff who can suggest menu items as per your taste. Good ambience with lots of seating and beautifully decorated banquet hall. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

I was there on May 15th for my sons graduation party. I was surprised by the set up designed by Mehfil. Very cleaned, opened seating arrangements with very courteous staff along with very good food. I would go back again.

They should try to play some Bangali music because as far as l am concerned the owner is from Bangladesh and too many bangali customers come here. l was really bored. They delivered very slow service. The food is average.

Wonderful place for authentic Bangladeshi food ! Their fried pomfret fish and chicken roast are my favorites! They really take pride and care in their cooking. Highly recommended. The owners are wonderful people as well.
