We love this place! My husband and I came here last week for a rare date night. Even though we came in late for dinner (it was after 9pm), the waitress was personable and attentive and we never felt rushed. She carefully helped me pick out the gluten-free items on the menu as well, which I really appreciated. The music and the attractive metal cups on the table took me right back to the month I spent in India 30 years ago. And the food was delicious! A small cup of daal soup (thicker, with yellow split peas, I think) came before our meal and it was very tasty indeed! I can still taste it in my mind, and will order a bowl of it next time. We ordered the Baigan Bartha (eggplant) and the Ginger Gajar and Aloo (carrots and potatoes) and both were delicious. My husband enjoyed his side of Naan bread. All in all, a great experience. I cant wait to go back. I may order some to be delivered for lunch today. Mmmmmm...

Right now Im enjoying leftovers of Chicken Saag from a fabulous meal we had at Saffron. This is not your mushy saag. Yes, the spinach is cooked to a soft consistency, but there are other green in the mix which adds to the texture and taste. The spicing is perfect; we asked for it to be mild to medium and there is enough tingle to get my tongue singing, but not enough to get me crying. Weve had the chance to sample 2 soups and both are delectable. After several visits to sample several appetizers and entrees, we are happy every time we go. Someone (in another Google review) said this place is nothing special, but they are wrong. The food here and the staff are very special and we are so happy they are here in Tewksbury. This food is not your average Indian fare. Its created on site and the quality shows. Youll be glad you tried Saffron Grill in Tewksbury.

This is without a doubt some of the tastiest Indian food Ive had. Ive probably dragged about a dozen different friends here with me just to prove my point! I highly recommend checking out their Thali menu, easily the best bang for you buck and provides a hearty assortment of options. Try the Rogan Josh! Service is where this place goes above and beyond. Ill be honest and admit that after years of experiences at different Indian places that werent exactly warm and fuzzy, I was almost put off by the exceptional degree of hospitality here. Waters are constantly refilled and overall theres a degree of class they stress that elevates the entire experience. Did you notice how late theyre open? *and* they deliver? Its worth your time to stop by here, bring a friend.

Finally a place where chicken tikka masala is made right. Im ethnically Indian and know what good north Indian food tastes like. Had a traditional lunch "thali" (think of a prix fixe menu on one large plate). Each entree on the thali is made right and has a distinct flavor, unlike all other Indian restaurants around. Ambience and service were great. Cant wait to be back there. ***Update (May, 2017) As much as we loved their chicken tikka masala and service, we cannot come here again. Ordered in for dinner with visiting family since weve raved about it so much, but every single one of us who ate their food got sick. Im 8 months pregnant and throwing up all night was NOT fun. Dont know if quality has begun to decline.

The food here has always been great! The staff always courteous. Weve been going here since they opened and while they were getting on their feet, they were always extremely friendly. One specific instance the Chef was coming up with a new dessert and brought it to us for free. I liked it so much that when I went back on my next visit, I asked if it was on the menu and it wasnt, but the chef made it again for myself and my sister. Ive been looking for a good Indian restaurant for a while and am thrilled that they opened.

Amazing Chicken Tikka Masala! Ordered it mild/medium spice which was perfect with heat and flavor. Preet was a fabulous waitress and gave great recommendations. Also loved the Garlic Naan and the Peshawary Naan. Husband got Chicken Vindaloo which was also very good but we both liked my Tikka Masala just a little better but both were empty plates at the end. Oh, and their potato leek soup was fantastic too. UPDATE: Came back and added the Kheer (rice pudding) that was delicious too..Worth the drive!

I had never tried Indian food before and a friend of mine suggested it while we were on vacation. My friend ordered several different things for us to try and everything was super delicious! Everything had good flavors & price wasnt bad. I dont have anything bad to say. The place was clean & front hostess was super nice. We were the only ones there but she was helpful to wait on us. I would definitly go back if I go to Massachusetts again.

I love Indian food and this place hit the spot. The food was very good and the service was attentive. I would recommend the Chicken 65 small plate of you like spicy food (which of you are getting Indian you should). They do have plenty of non-spicy options as well for those that cant take the heat. I personally also got the Chicken Vindaloo Curry which was great... Definitely would recommend as well

We were coming here after a long trip and there were eight of us, so a considerable amount of food was ordered. The food was ordered in a quick and timely manner, and it was nothing short of perfect. Spicy food lovers would be in heaven here. There were two waitresses and the one that served us was very helpful (and might I add very pretty too!). Great food at a great price with good service.

This is the first time we went to saffron. After reading all their rave reviews, we thought the food will be outstanding; but it was pretty average, nothing that will wow you. We ordered Golgappa, Lamb kebab, plain naan and chicken korma. The lamb kebab was too dry and chewy; the dry rub on the kebab was salty too. However, the restaurant ambiance was great and service was good too.

The food is flavorful. The onion pakoras were great. Biryanis were okay. Naans were a bit crispy. Entrees were adequately sized. The place has a nice ambience and decent decor, though there was a bad odor while we were there, which made it a bit unpleasant at dinner time. Restrooms too were very smelly. Customer service could be a bit more friendly.

Excellent presentation of a delicious meal. Tikka Lamb was delicious. Chicken tandoori was moist and tasty. The Naan was hot and delicious. The menu is well written and descriptive allowing the uninitiated to know what was available. The staff was friendly and attentive. This is truly a hidden gem in Tewksbury!

Great food, with a lovely lunch plate on the menu. The menu items arent terribly descriptive and without pictures to help those who are less familiar with the food, but it was a great experience otherwise. Great decor, spacious seating, good taste, and great lunch price.

So happy to finally have an Indian restaurant in Powell! Weve been here twice and the food and service has been great both times. The dinner buffet on Sunday had a nice variety, and we really enjoyed the chaat bar. Definitely a place we will keep coming back to!
