I will never go back, I dont care how good it tastes. Im wondering if Newport has a health inspector. People wiping sweat off of their faces non stop, and only one guy had gloves on. One guy coughed into his hand and proceeded to make a sandwich, while snacking on toppings. I was there for over 30 minutes and not one person washed their hands after all of this. I dont even want to think if they do after using the toilet.

These guys are kinda the worst. Granted we went here late night cuz we knew they were one of the only places that stayed open late. Fairly busy. Ordered and they said our order would take 20 minutes. Half a dozen people ordered after us, and got their food while we wete still waiting. 45 minutes later and at 2:15AM, our order came out. No apology. No offer to pay for our order. Just terrible. Go to Dominos.

Nice ppl horrible food i ordered a chicken parm grinder and a large cheese pizza... the chicken was good but the bread was burnt black, the sauce tastes like poop and the cheese was hard as a rock. For the pizza... WOW lets just say i have had better gas station pizza sitting under the lamp for 16hrs. Wife refused to eat such bad looking food so i ate it all and was sick for a day.

Came back here when I came back to Newport for a couple of weeks. Its one of the few restaurants on Broadway that I remember from when I was here 7 years ago, and the food us still as good as it was back then. Ordered the calzone, and it hit the spot on a cold day. Boneless chicken wings were also juicy and fried just right.

Over an hour long wait for delivery. No utensils, no napkins, NOTHING. They forgot the ranch on my sandwich so now I have a dry ass sandwich. Food was barely warm. Chowder was good though, but it probably wasnt made in house so thats understandable. Thumbs down.

Ordered a lg chicken Caesar wrap and a Philly cheesesteak. Two items you cant mess up, right? They sent me a tiny wrap with chicken and a slice of cheese. Good try though. The Philly cheesesteak was dry to the bone. Portions are small. I make better food in my microwave.

Having served at two duty stations here in Newport (NWC/WGD & USS Aylwin); A-1 was always the place to go for their incredibly tasty gyros. Aylwin shipmates loved them too. First restaurant we hit when back in town from a Med cruise was A-1 for the gyros!

Always good food. Gyros are out of this world. Pizza is nice and crisp and really great sauce. Lasagna is yummy. Nice restaurant and friendly people family owned. Dont want a whole pie (pizza) they sell it buy the slice. Takeout, delivery or sit in.

Best SMALL cheese pizza EVER!!!! A1 Pizzas small cheese is a one of a kind pizza. You really cant find a better crust anywhere. The cheese is a mixed blend that is plentiful and tasty. It is a simple and delicious pizza that you will definitely enjoy!!!!
