Ive been to a lot of restaurants around this country and lived in New England for almost 60 years and in RI for 28 years. In the past 2 years, Ive been to the Agave 5 times and my visits have always included food with drinks. Actually never impressed with the good or the waitstaff. Seriously untrained. I have to rate the location excellent with a 9/10. Thats where the good news ends. I have to believe that the high prices is for the location. After 5 visits, I confidently and comfortably review the overall food a dismal 5/10, the experience with staff a 6/10 and Im being generous. Tonight, I ordered the 3 lobster sliders and what was unpleasantly delivered was a stingy dried out amount of stale lobster and that was just that, a tiny amount of lobster that was dry and stale and engulfed by thick doughy toasted rolls. Horrible. The worst lobster "rolls" I can recall. Three sliders (more like 3 rolls) accompanied with a spoon full of greens as a salad with stale brown veggies. The blue cheese dressing was tasteless. And it was priced to market?? LMAO. The price was $29.00?? Thats right, $29 for a lobster roll and a handful of greens. Are you serious? Then this odd girl (not my waitress) delivered my "rations" and who was absolutely rude and unprofessional. She delivered my "food" with a puss on her face like, "Why did you have to order food, Im busy checking my text messages". LMAO. She was a joke. I acknowledged her by saying thank you but in return not an inkling that I said thank you or that I was even there. Not a smile, a blink...nothing but a blank stare. Then she just turned and strutted off like she needed to go and do her nails. Actually, when I questioned my waitress about the ridiculous price for my lobster sliders (roll) she was embarrassed and replied, "Ya I know very expensive but I only do what Im told". Although, her response was the highlight of my dining experience. Sad. Then the stuffed clam. Fair at best. Small with little flavor for $3.50. As for my Jack and Coke which was in a small glass was WEAK and cost $9.57?? I have no problem with a small drink but put some booze in it for $9.57. So 3 lobster sliders and a stuffie with a Jack and Coke cost about $48.00. Add 20% tip and all in it was about $56.00. Come on!! Agave, youre not all that nor have you ever been. What you have going on due to your location is leagalized extortion of which John Gotti had better deals. Needless to say, Im done giving away may hard earned $$ for fast food, ridiculous prices and untrained and unprofessional staff. I, nor any of my friends, relatives or any of my acquaintances will ever go there again when I tell them about my 5th and final rip-off at the Agave. A truly poor excuse for a RI restaurant on the East Bay with poorly trained staff. Location, location, location is everything but your lack of good food, high prices and unprofessional staff are in dire need of improvement, endless training and, well, HELP. Bye, bye.

I give this place 1 star because the manager comped our whole bill! We did not go there looking for free food we read the menu online and it looked really good a little pricey but if the food was good it would have been worth it. When we arrived and looked at the menu it was completely different, the manager said if you ever delt with website people you would understand, ok still no biggie we order apps the food comes we have no plates no napkins no silverware. We speak to the manager he tells us theyve had 1000, orders today and their running out of everything, the food sucked especially for the price my sister ordered a 30.00 seafood dish and she couldnt eat half of it because the mussels didnt open which usually indicates they were dead before being boiled! Management said they have a really small kitchen. This place had a nice view and thats about it! We wished we went to Cafe central up the street. So needless to say we will not be going back!

So we went for Fathers Day breakfast after being up here all weekend from NJ. The food was good but, I had left my phone in the bathroom, once I notice this (about 5min later) I went back to get it. Well it wasnt there. No one had turned it in apparently.I called it and it just rang and rang, then it would go straight to voicemail. I cant believe someone would think of stealing someones phone especially on Fathers Day! After talking to the staff and even the owner to which no one was really that helpful,I called the police and filed a report.I am very upset with the way the staff handles the whole situation, they didnt seem to care and were scrambling to fig out what to do. Karma is a bitch and I hope whoever you are mans up and returns it. I could care less about my phone but its all the pictures of my kids on there. Abs did I mention they did this on FATHERS DAY! I prob wont be returning here...

I will give this place one star for the decor outside with the pretty flowers and pergola. We decided to eat here Sunday night and ordered our meal. We started with an appetizer of fried calamari which was so soggy with oil. Then we waited over an hour for our dinner. We finally asked to have it put in to go containers when it was done. That took another 20 minutes and then paying the check another ten minutes. When we finally got to eat our meal the veggie side dish of carrots and zucchini were still raw after all that time, the salmon piece was so small and not tasty at all. I will never go there again. The wait staff was not professional either in their attire or their service.

Horrible experience! I am a bristol resident and have gone multiple times with no issues. Tonight a group of out of town friends wanted to go because of all the good things I have said. Our waitress, if you want to say that, made us wait a half hour to get our drinks and water then never came back to take our order! The restaurant was not busy so there was no reason at all for us to have waited that long for our drinks let alone expect us to wait ANOTHER half hour for the waitress to come back and take our food order!!! Extremely disappointed! Tried calling to speak to a manager but conveniently no one was available! Will NEVER be back again and will NEVER give a good recommendation!!!

I ordered the meatloaf dinner to go, and when I opened it up, it looked like someone had just threw it all in the container without any concern for presentation. What was advertised as meatloaf with mushrooms sauce and mashed potatoes was hard meatloaf, soggy mushrooms without much of a sauce and what I can only describe as a wet looking slop of mashed potatoes. Very disappointed and in my opinion, not worth the price. Definitely will not be back. My dogs liked it though.

Went to Agave last Saturday and had a horrible experience! They were out of a lot of things on the menu and the excuse was they are changing menus. The waiter knew nothing about the menu or market prices band had to be asked several times for everything. He was obviously new and should not have been given a large table alone and the kicker. .he got a large tip because they automatically put it on the bill. Extremely disappointed, usually such a great spot in the summer
