I was there for a birthday pty of 8. It started off as any time weve been there. It was a week night so it was no where near as full as the Friday-Saturday evening crazy that I was used to... very layed back. We have been there many times in the past and have returned for the food, service has been good. We ordered aps and dinners. Some aps came out, others didnt, and we had to remind our waiter to bring them. Water was forgotten, salad was forgotten, adult drinks were forgotten. We had to remind him and the waiter started to get an attitude. Two people were going to "share" a meal but when the waiter said there was going to be a $4.50 charge for a plate the two people said nevermind, they wont do that then. He still insisted that they were going to be charged because he knew someone would probably eat something off the others plate. After all, this was the original plan, and nobody was going to "share" with out being charged.(He said this order came from his manager.) Everyone was almost finished eating and I had ordered an Italian sandwich that still was not out yet. When our waiter came back to see how everything was I said I did not recieve my food but I didnt want it now, take it off the bill. As we were telling him about our problems he gets frustrated and says to us, get this," Im going to give you over to my manager, I will not be serving you anymore!" What?! He just leaves and stops being our waiter! So everyone (but me) finishes their food and the manager comes over and asks...are you ready?...how was everything? We procede to tell her what happend, because obviously she had forgotten already that out waiter just quit on us. She says Im sorry but hes new. Excuse me, but dont put a new person at a huge table on a night when there are smaller tables of two and three for a new person to wait on. If he cant handle it he needs to be the dishwasher, or better yet, a person that works somewhere else thats not GNA.(I think he was someones relative that needed a job, but thats just my opinion). OK, I can live with it all, but now heres the kicker. Mr. I quit on you, Im not going to finish my job for you, Im going to let my manager take over because I cant handle everyone telling me I forgot stuff waiter had the balls to put an 18% gratuity on the bill, and the italian sandwich I ordered and never got was still on. The manager didnt even seem to care that we were upset. I have a partial gift card from there yet from another time when the service was good. Ill probably use it at the bar. They cant screw that up right? Unless the waiter gets promoted to bartender.

First off let me say, I am sorry for the length of this, but you need to now the whole story. This "Used to be our "favorite restaurant" whenever we attended an event in the area; well NOT ANY MORE!!!!!! My sister and I often frequent events that are held in the Reading area and since we were originally from the Reading area, we know where the good places are. We brought many a friend here. Well we have had surgery and can no longer eat large portions, so we asked to purchase meals off the "Kids Menu" (which we had done in the past). Every restaurant we have gone to has given us that courtesy; but not today, not this place. We asked the waitress to speak with the manager and she didnt even come over and talk to us and refused to allow it so our waitress recommended us to share a meal. So we ordered, and we split a meal; which was very awful and not what we had come to expect. Our waitress was slow as molasses and we were running out of time. So, when the bill came, we were shocked to find out we were charged extra for multiple items that we were not made aware of and found out "then" that the manager insisted on charging a $4.00 fee for "sharing". We asked to speak with the manager (which is the owner) and SHE was so rude to us, explaining this was always their practice and when we tried to explain our situation and past experiences, she had the nerve to ask us to keep our voices down. OMG!!! Really, dont let the customers know you might be ripping them off!!!!! And as if she wasnt rude enough; she then said, "that couple that was sitting over there didnt complain about the extra $4.00." Really, $4.00 for a plate. If we were having Water and sharing a dinner, okay maybe; if sharing involved giving us each a smaller version of the salad; or if everyone at our party hadnt spent over $40 each I have worked in many a restaurant and I would never have treated people the way that establishment treated us....but I can promise you this, they never will again. And, I will tell everyone about this very poor experience. The community of people that have or eating issues is large, so they will want to know they cant be accommodated here.

There was a couple that was by my wife and I that had a child that was extremely disruptive. This child was screaming and running around the restaurant like it was her personal playground. I asked the couple "if they could please take that thing out to there car", at which time the couple informed me that "there family owned this restaurant and that they could have me thrown out". After my dinner i confronted the owner who said that this couple was not really family and that they where "a cousin of a cousin of a cousin" and that "it is not like when we where growing up". She basically blamed society for this problem, not once apologizing for HER families actions, or the actions of her employees who where watching this happen. Once i got done listening to what she had to say i informed her that if she was not going to apologize for what her family has done then i will not be back and will post a review about the experience. It was at that time that she got really angry and told me "Do not base the way i run my business on what my family does". It was at that time that i informed her that "your family says alot about you and the way you do business". When we left i found out that they have some guy standing outside that tells people where to park, well this genius has people park to block there driveway so i had to serpentine back out of my spot around 5 different cars. There is no way a normal person could have got the car out of where i parked my car because of the way this genius had cars parked around it. I am a truck driver and had enough trouble getting out of a LINED SPOT in there parking lot because of the way he was having people park. The prices are extremely overpriced for what you get. And it took almost 45 minutes for a small cheesesteak and a small chicken gizmo. There are MUCH better places to get food around the area where you do not have to deal with the owners and her families attitude, the long wait for high priced subpar food, and the stupidity of someone that tries to tell poeple where to park.
