Had an absolutely perfect Friday evening dinner earlier tonight. Service was impeccable and the food was outstanding. The service was spot on - exactly right - our courteous server was there just when you would expect and otherwise we were to ourselves. My wife had the pierogie appetizer and sea scallops for dinner, and I had the bosc pear salad as appetizer and the filet mignon for dinner. Everything was terrific. The blending of flavors in the bosc pear salad was incredible - pear, blue cheese, dried cherries and salted/sugared pecans combine for one of the tastiest and most enjoyable salads Ive ever had. The same can be said for the pierogie appetizer - an outstanding combination of ingredients brings good pierogies to begin with to a new level. The entrees were equally top-notch; the filet was tender and accompanied by garlic potatoes and green beans - all wonderful. The sea scallops were delicious and served with sides that complemented the flavors delightfully. As happy as Ive been about a meal (and the service!) in many years.

service was great, very clean place. However, food was not great. very small portions, and when I mean small, I mean EXTREMELY small. $9 for a small peanut butter cookie? I ordered the scallops, which tasted no different from red lobster, and was $40 for 5 small scallops, onions galore, and a "Corn patty" which was another term for "meat with a bunch of fat." employees were nice, and I mean extremely nice. But with not so great food, I dont think I would be back. Sorry, white dog cafe. You have great service and atmosphere, but quite frankly, not enough to cover up the food.

midday menu was delicious. nice ambiance. dark dim lights. my favorite. To my delight, I saw salt and vinegar chips with a sandwich on the menu but our server Christian informed us they were not offered just yet. I decided to get the sandwich anyway. As our food arrived... homemade salt/vinegar chips were nicely garnished on the plate!!!! Christian noticed I was really excited about the addition to th e menu and asked them to be freshly prepared by the chef. Delicious!!! needless to say attention to detail was top notch. thanks Christian! see you soon!

Even with a reservation it took us a while to get seated, but the food made up for that. I love how the menu is seasonal and is sourced as locally as possible. Im only giving 4 stars because of the tuna on the menu. Im sure they have no intention of buying bluefin tuna, but unless their procurer was on the boat when the fish was caught and then personally escorted it to the kitchen, they really have no idea what kind of tuna they are serving. Just something to consider.

White dog has great lunch and dinner options, but the best time to go is during happy hour from 4:30 to 6:30. During that time, a lot of their main dishes are on HH pricing (ex: fried pickles, cheese plate, hummus trio, turkey burger) and they have a wide variety of drinks on special as well, so something for everyone. If youre still craving dessert, I love the cookie jar.

One of my favorite places to eat. Sometimes staff are rushed off their feet, but they are always polite. The food is consistently delicious, carefully prepared to order, and attractively plated. Try the cheese plate, anything with mushrooms, and leave room for dessert. On my last visit our party of four had all different entrees and desserts, absolutely fabulous,

My husband & I were there for a special occasion and the staff made a fuss!! We were served a complimentary cheese platter, amuse bouche and a dessert! The service and wait staff were knowledgeable and friendly and made us feel very special. The FOOD was to die for! Not one complaint - absolutely tasty, flavorful and gorgeous to look at. Did I mention the butter?

Nice upscale and extremely main line version of the White Dog in Philly. Culturally they bear no resemblance. The food is quite good. Theres definitely some competition getting seated. The actual White Dog origin story before this one relating to the Theosophical Society was so interesting that I paid a visit to their Sunday services.

With quality, local, ingredients and an ever-changing menu, this is a fantastic place to continue to go back to again and again. The outdoor seating is very large, however, being right on Lancaster means there is quite a bit of ambient traffic noise. Service is always good despite being constantly at capacity.

The food is disappointing - it tastes like my cooking. The mushroom omlette was stuffed with too big too tough whole mushrooms combined with too many caramelized onions. No attention to blend or balance of flavor. The coffee was weak; a real disappointment all around. My 2nd visit and definitely my last.

Great food. Great drinks. Kitchen is incredibly accomodating. Wife ordered the burger sans mayo and it arrived with mayo. Mentioned to bartender and viola brand new hamburger. Will do special orders as well, which is great for people with food allergies. Love this place

Food was ok at this main line restaurant. Cost is at lunch with tip not counting dessert. My soups were vey good especially the mushroom soup. Friends sandwiches were not as good. Honey ice cream was good but expensive. Service could have been a lot better.

Each time Ive eaten here the food and the overall experience have met my expectations for a fine dining restaurant. The menu variety, flavor and presentation have been excellent, accompanied by prompt and courteous service.

Best brunch weve had in months. Excellent service, beautiful relaxed terrace outside and delicious sandwiches, fries and fried pickles. You can really taste the difference with their fresh ingredients!

Waiting time was unfortunately long even though many tables were free for the while time, food was of low quality and arrived cold, waiters were unpleasant. A very unfortunate experience altogether.

Apparently, there needs to be a "Who knows???" section for the ratings. A 40 minute wait on top of our CONFIRMED RESERVATION TIME? No thanks, White Dog Cafe... we took our business elsewhere.

One of the best fine dining restaurants in the Main Line. Extremely fresh and seasonal dishes. Very pricey, but absolutely worth the price. The atmosphere of White Dog is also very unique.

Dont be put off by the strip mall setting. Creative food is served here. Restaurant can be a bit of a maze with several small rooms making up the dining room. Can be noisy at times.

Super service food was delicious. My pasta sat and was stuck together but was promptly addressed and corrected. The kitchen is very accommodating to special requests. We will be back.

Have had several very nice meals here. Caveat, the monito is not a true mohito. Its made with seltzer water and not the right simple syrup and lime juice, and sugar stirring rod.

The servers are very friendly and responsive. Im not a dog person, but the 360 degree floor to ceiling oil portraits of nothing but dogs makes for a unique atmosphere.
