Summary: Poor food and poor service. Not at all authentic. Had a date night with my wife and she really likes Mexican food so we tried El Mariachi. Big mistake. They should just give you a tray and have you wait in line for your food - the service was that bad and the food quality was that of a fast food place. Pros: Guacamole was very good. Sodas tasted good and had free refills. Service: Greeted quickly, seated ourselves, took order quickly. When food arrived we had no silverware or napkins. Tried to catch one of the 2 wait staff in the whole place to get napkins for the chips and Guacamole - didnt happen. The steak, chicken, peppers, and onions of my fajita order came but then had a big wait to get the actual fajitas and toppings. Had to then wait longer for a plate to make the fajitas on. Would have liked to get the order together so I could eat when it arrives. Quality: My fajitas were overcooked. Steak shouldnt crunch when you bite into it. There was no taste - it was all bland and dry. My wife had Chimichangas - she didnt like it at all. I tried it and said it tasted like an old shoe - best description I could come up with. Everything tasted like it came out of a can or bag - the sauces, fajitas, chips... This was by far the worst Mexican food Ive had.

First time in and have to say..very sadly disappointing. We ordered steak fajitas and beef tacos. Food was definitely made cheaply and lacking in any true Mexican flavor. Any flavor!! Even the sour cream that I paid extra for was watered down.. Ugh.. Yuck. We paid $13.50 for a handful of bland yellow rice and a scoop of no taste black goop... A lot of onions and green pepper with some chewy beef strips and again.. No flavor?? 4 corn tortillaTacos.. Is just a corn tortilla with again.. Flavorless ground beef?? They asked do you want lettuce and tomatoes??? Of course.. Yes! There were a few scraps of lettuce and a couple tiny diced tomatoes. No cheese lol I guess you have to ask for cheese on your tacos too..and watered down sour cream. $8.50 for those 4 sad idk..Anyway.. Ugh.. All that horrible disappointment for $23. and change. Never again. Lost our business and we eat out quite often. Thier loss for sure! I dont know how they get any business cooking, serving and charging like that!

Major disappointment, but I really want to give them a second chance. Ive only heard great things from trusted friends about El Mariachi. We tried a Friday evening...HUGE mistake. They were slammed with only two servers--it was painfully slow (thats managements fault, not the servers). Ordered the highly-recommended guacamole...and it never showed up. Asked server, who returns saying, "they told me, what guacamole?" Passing the buck like that...youre the server...its YOUR job to validate the order!! Took nearly 90 minutes to get 4 burritos...painful. Server was absent-minded and overmatched for his responsibilities. Restaurant probably has great potential, but it was very hard to see based on tonights experience. When we did finally get our food, it was tepid. I will update on the second attempt.

Friendly staff, very good food (nothing fancy, just good), attractive prices which are even better because its BYOB. In fact, if you bring your own tequila, they will make you a margarita with it -- for free! Kitchen is flexible and accommodating -- when I asked for beef tacos without any peppers, they used a different beef because their taco beef mix contains peppers. Ive been to a lot of places where I was simply told to order something else. Easy parking in a small strip mall on Route 611. I could do without the flat-screen tv that was running a Spanish language violent adventure film last time we were in, but you dont have to look at it. Traditional Mexican music would be nice (you know, like mariachi music??) . . . but we go for the food, not the decor or ambiance.

Worst Burrito Ive ever had, this place makes Taco Bell seem like high-end Mexican. They need to scrap the salsa too, its god-awful. The chicken burrito was exactly the same as the chicken quesadilla; ie, the quesadilla had barely any cheese in it. I really cant say enough bad things about the food here. Maybe Im a snob from living in California, but if this is the only Mexican food youve ever had, youre in for a real treat when you go ANYWHERE else. Oh, and considering how horrendous the food was, they do charge you premium for it. Id rather eat dogfood-- seriously.

Tonight I got catering for my sons first birthday for 20 people which was definitely enough for 30+. The price was amazing and people raved about the food all night. Horacio even made a special dish for my family members who are vegan which was honestly one of the stand out dishes of the night. Awesome food and awesome value. Salad, rice, beans and four entrees from the menu. Cant beat it.

I dont know authentic Mexican, but I know tasty. Every meal here has been a treat, fresh, delicious, promptly served. The menu has something for everyone, from the carnivore (tongue tacos, anyone?) to vegetarians (flautas de queso -youll not miss the meat!). A great value, plenty of parking, bring a friend - please, I want El Mariachi to be in biz for a long, long time!

Worst Mexican food Ive ever had! No taste. Taste like cafeteria food. Small expensive portions. Fajitas didnt even come with something the wrap! Just lots of onion and peppers, dry chewy meat, a spoonful of rice and supposed to be refried beans. Worst ever!! Trust me.. take the drive into Doylestown for real food!! Never coming here again!

Saturday evening dinner with friends. Firt time at El Mariachi. Good service, good food! My wife has some allergy restrictions with hot/spicy foods and Mexican is never and option. The kitchen was able to exclude a few things from the dish and she was very happy with the meal! Dinner prices are very reasonable as well. We will go back...

Excellent Mexican food! I have been to Mexico only once but based on that visit, thus is authentic Mexican and TexMex food. And I dont know how anyone can leave feeling hungry. They serve large portions. If youre looking for a good Mexican restaurant, I recommend El Mariachi. Plus they have reasonable price.

This place is fantastic on a weekday. Food is great (about as authentic as it gets while still being tasty) and its BYOB. Wait staff is very friendly. Friday and Saturday it gets crazy, would avoid. They are extremely apologetic on those occasions though.

Absolutely delicious!!! Decor is a bit plain, but the food is the real deal. Everything cooked fresh, wonderful flavors and plated beautifully. My entire family loved it. Friendly service. The only regret I have, is I didnt have room to try their dessert.

the best! the most authentic Mexican food in the area! Enchilada Verde... All of the tacos! just amazing food. The price is right too especially for families. You dont have to worry about bringing kids of any age. The staff are great as well.

My whole family loves this restaurant. Weve all eaten authentic Mexican while in AZ, NM, etc. and el Mariachi is about as close as we can get here in Central Bucks Co. The prices are very reasonable as well.
