Fresh. Ive had my fair share of places in the city (when I first moved to the area). I cook a lot for myself. When eating here I found that the chicken fried rice was NOT over cooked and extra greasy. It seemed to be have made fresh to order and they didnt load it sauce, it wasnt 2-week-old crunchy, nor was it mushed together. It was however, crisp and super hot, the eggs were fluffy interior, slight crisp exterior, the rice was cooked perfectly. No complaints. They do happen to have gluten free meals here which could also be a reason why the good was fresher-made to order. Ill be stopping here again by mistake, but on purpose next time! Thank you. P.S. I actually was looking for parking and stumbled upon this place, partner right out front, where Im typing this now!

Beijing is the worst. I have had it twice being new to the area (once voluntary had it delivered and the second time catered at a function.) I was hoping it would be better the second time but it was not. Both times the general tsos was hard to chew and rather tasteless-as if it was made the night before. The rice, both white and fried was hard. My friend who will eat about any kind of chinese food couldnt even eat it and we ended up throwing the whole thing away. I think I had a bubble tea the first time and that was fine. This is not the option for chinese in university city...order in from center city if you have to.

I have had General Tsos Chicken in many, many Chinese restaurants, and this was far and away the worst. I am not a picky eater in the slightest, as I enjoyed the school lunches I was served through grade school and have no problem with Penn dining hall food at all. This was entirely inedible - I took three bites and stopped, and my stomach was already angry and feeling sickened. No one checked on us at all through the meal, and my girlfriend couldnt get through more than few bites of her food either. Dont waste your money here just because its convenient; you will regret it.

This place sucks do not eat there. I just had a horrible experience. Firstly these idiots lost my order so it was an hour and half late and did not even apologize but were quick to take my money. Secondly the noodles turned out burnt could not eat them. Called the manager to ask for a refund. He said I needed to take the noodles down there to show him and he could not refund on a credit card and would need to give me cash. I have two kids so I could not get down there. I said I would never eat there again. Seriously sucks that place avoid at all costs!!

The BEST bubble tea in all of pa and NJ. Trust me on this bc Ive had bubble tea at every other place that sells it and nothing compares to here. I dont know how the sit-down service is because I only ever took out and the guy over the phone is always nice. I ordered spring rolls, the house fried rice, and both were amazing!! I cant comment on the entrees because I dont think I had one there yet. Honestly I just go for the rice and the bubble tea lol

For the moderately health conscious - I like to order the following takeout: steamed chicken with mixed vegetables and kung pao sauce on the side. This way, you can control how much sauce you consume. Request brown rice to up the health (and energy) quotient even further. If you call ahead, you can swing by the pick up your food in 10/15 minutes and the whole thing is also super efficient.

Just made my first and last visit to beijing. I can only comment on the dish I ordered "General Tsos Chicken" which was tough, chewy difficult to eat chunks of dark meat chicken. Sauce was ok, Rice was average. The staff are very friendly and prices very reasonable. Nothing can trump the quality of the food and this dish was not worth the money. Half of it is still stuck between my teeth

Worst restaurant Ive ever been to in terms of money and food portion. While employees are mostly friendly, the food you get for the money is NOT worth it. I spent $12 ordering shrimp broccoli with rice, and I got only 3 shrimp and the entire plate was just all broccoli. Dont eat here If you wanna get ripped off.

Anyone who saying this is a good restaurant is either crazy or has totally lost its palate. The food was so bad that the dog would not eat it. Definitely the worst Chinese place is all of philly. Discussing is to kind of a description for the food I order. Definitely would never go back there.

In a city that has pretty poor chinese food options, Beijing is consistent and decent. Its not gourmet but it is solid. With recent renovations, the restaurant is even nicer if you care to sit and eat. I think its better than Sang-Kee, the other Chinese option in U City.

Delicious meals, attentive friendly service. They were super helpful helping me identify safe foods with my allergies. Im a big fan of chicken and corn chowder, clams and black bean sauce and now shrimp and tofu (extra to add but worth it) with black bean sauce.

My husband n I have been getting our food from Beijing for over 10yrs. Their food n service have always been placed at the top of our list. We travel to get our food as we refuse to eat from any of the delicatesens in our neighborhood.

Decent Chinese food, simply prepared--nothing extraordinary, but still good. Nice place to just sit down if youre in the area. Staff is friendly. Id say this is probably one of the better Chinese places in the area.

I go there for lunch or order delivery fairly often. Theyre pretty solid. Better than ur standard Chinese take out and they give you hot tea. And theyre very fast at lunch (and presumably other times).

The food is amazing, the staff are kind and welcoming. Recommend this place to anyone that love the taste of Chinese food. One thing I dont like is that their wifi has password on it

Excellent food, tons of dishes available for order, fresh, perfectly cooked. The staff is nice, the owner is extra nice. It is one of my most favorite places to eat Chinese food.

Food is good, they have quick service and are very friendly. The sesame chicken, chicken and broccoli, beef and broccoli, wanton soup and pan fried dumplings are all very tasty.

Not the best Chinese Ive ever had. General Tso chicken wasnt very flavorful and a little dry. There was little sauce in the container and it had too much oil in it.
