A group of my friends and I took a memorial day Harley ride to this place after hearing how cool it was. Upon arriving, I thought it looked really cool and had an awesome back deck sitting on the "river". It was pretty empty considering how big the place is- parking lot was empty. We had a party of 17 and were told it was going to be about a 30 minute way - no problem. we hit the bar. About an hour and ten minutes later, my fiancé went back up to the host and was told our tables were getting cleaned. Fifteen minutes later, I went back up and the host proceeded to tell me that the kitchen was so backed up and 17 people is just so much food for the kitchen. I was pretty taken back and almost snapped on her but kept my cool and walked away. Ten minutes later my friend went over and demanded we at least be sat. As we were sitting down, we over heard a gentleman at the bar say it took him 2 hours to get his food. We asked the gentlemen who was seating us if he thought it would take us that long to get food. He got a little snippy and we decided to leave. Now, I worked in a restaurant for 5 years. I know there are off days, but they were barely busy and most of the workers were just standing around. Youre telling me that some of those kids couldnt go back and help? And as for the host - how are you going to tell your customers that 17 people is just too much for the kitchen right now. We easily would have dropped $1000 in the place between all of us. Its not the fact that the kitchen was so backed up, but just the absolute rudeness of the workers. I would highly suggest if going here to eat before you go. Its a shame because its a really neat place but the managers need to re-evaluate their staff and their attitudes pronto. It would take a lot for me to go back there.

This place has a great atmosphere outside. Inside its crowded and uncomfortable. Parking is an adventure. There are probably some good dishes (the burgers?), but both times we went there to eat the food was mediocre. The Nachos Locos, despite being a very visually appealing dish, have little taste and need seasoning or some sort of pizzazz. The fajitas also were bland and had three small tortillas which were insufficient compared to the large amount of hot meat and vegetables provided with it. The coleslaw, as someone else mentioned, is awful. Our one guest considered it inedible. The fries are good and the haddock is good as well. The Monster Quesadilla is unremarkable in taste and presentation, in spite of its name. This visit the kitchen got the nachos order wrong. We didnt get silverware and napkins until we were halfway through our appetizer because none was available and they were washing silverware. No plates for the appetizers. The waitress let our drinks go dry twice, to the point we had to flag her down to get drink refills. The waitress couldnt seem to focus on one table at a time and would go by quickly and before you could blurt out something you needed, she was gone to the next table. The bill had an error on it. The outside tables are too small if seated to capacity. We had to clear stuff off of our table onto a neighboring empty table when someone brought our entries out. Towards the end of the meal, some employee came over and tossed a pile of napkins on the table and walked away without a word. Bottom line: if you want some drinks by the creek, this is a great place, especially if youre riding around on your motorcycle and are looking for a stop. Dont have high expectations for the food or service.

For a menu so laser focused on BBQ, I never expected to have such flat out bland, unflavorful, and mediocre BBQ. The ribs being clearly oven cooked despite them being advertised as Smoked was disappointing, but they werent the worst thing Ive ever had. My homemade dry rub smoked ribs clearly have a smoked flavor, and it either wasnt there, or was so slight as to be covered up by the glazed BBQ sauce, which mostly defeats the purpose of a dry rub rib regardless. The brisket was embarrassing bland. There was absolutely 0 smoked flavoring or seasoning present. It was mushy, which could have been mistaken for tender if there was flavor present, or it wasnt dry as a bone. The Cesar salad and the potato salad were actually pretty great! The drinks were good too! The baked beans however left much to be desired (namely, flavor), just being mostly sugary without kick. The reason I downgraded from a 3 Star mediocre review to a 2 Star review, however, was there were also multiple types of bugs crawling in the area between the window and the table, and tons of bits as evidence this isnt the first bug thats been there. There was a clear-as-day spider web just outside the front door, too, which makes me think this wasnt just a fluke. I was in the area as a tourist, and I advise you if youre in the area to give this place a pass. I could have forgiven a lot more of the mediocre BBQ if it wasnt just about the only thing on the menu, and their clear focus for the whole resturant.

Went with my husband and daughter tonight. We dont go out much so this was a treat. We were hungry for tacos and weve always enjoyed the tacos here. My first clue should have been the lack of menu. We ordered our meals as well as beef brisket nachos as an appetizer. Started off with one person as our waitress (manager) to some new girl who had no clue. Well she brings out our food. My husband and I look at each other confused bc we didnt even get nachos yet. So the girl goes to check. Brings the nachos and rest of our meal. Already not happy since now our food will get cold while we eat the appetizer. Well that was a disappointment as well. They used to be loaded with toppings and they were pathetic tonight. As far as the tacos, they were a joke as well. Literally just pulled pork on the shells and a bowl of sides to top them. I asked for a manager and our first waitress comes over. Basically no apology and we were blamed for not asking for the nachos to come out first bc they dont call them appetizers anymore. Really? And the waitress said she even missed the buzzer. Explained how the food has gone downhill and nachos were a lot to be desired. The manager took them and brought them back with pulled pork after we said we did not want pulled pork. We were basically ignored the rest of our meal. The nachos were taken off our check and given 10% off. We still spent $45 on very mediocre food. We will not be back at all. Each time its gotten worse and it used to be so good!

Disgusted! My fiance and I have stopped at this restaurant many times in the past and have had reasonable quality food and service. We both work in the service industry and we couldnt believe the lack of pride the employees and manager took in their job and restaurant. When we arrived we chose to sit outside. The hostess sat us at a uncleaned table and said she would be right back to clean the table. She never came back. To my disappointment, I looked down and saw food, what looked like pork ground into the decking, with silverware there also. We ordered our lunch anyway, normally would have left for the lack of being clean. Our food came out, ugh more dis- appointment. His tacos were dry, meat looked old, like it was sitting out. My wdege salad had a whole head of lettuce, with little of any toppings. As I turn my bowl, the lettuce was covered in BBQ sauce. Do they not wash knives off before each use? All was brought to the attention of server. She took food to kitchen and to the manager. We waited, no reply from anyone. Paid the bill and left to find a better restaurant. I will seriously tell everyone not to go there. Over priced, and not worth it. My fiance has food allergies, dirty knives cross contamination could have hospitalized him. It seemed like we were just money in the drawer, not a business that cared for its services, and quality.
