Id like to start by saying that I am not a unreasonable customer, and that I almost never complain about my experiences at restaurants. Having worked in food service before, I know what a difficult and nerve-racking job it is. But my experience at the Aroogas on the Carlisle Pike was so horrible that I felt I needed to report it. My girlfriend and I went to this Aroogas for our friends birthday. We never go to Aroogas, but it was our friends birthday and thats where she wanted to go. First, they lost our reservation - one that had been made weeks in advance - and attempted to make us pay a $10 cover per person for the UFC that was being shown that night. They had neglected to mention that there would be a $10 cover when we made the reservation. When we finally got a table it was very cold and there was a strange odor, like vinegar or some kind of cleaning product. The pitcher well drinks we were given were very watered down and overpriced. The waitress messed up my order, bringing me 5 wings when I had asked for 10. When they brought the missing 5, I was told that I would only have to pay for the first 5, but later this was changed and they charged me for 10 anyway. My girlfriend ordered cheddar and bacon potato skins because they had run out of the mozzarella triangles that she had originally ordered. The potato skins turned out to be cold in the middle and the cheese wasnt completely melted, making her lose her appetite after one bite and had to send them back. Overall, the experience was so bad that it was almost funny how consistently awful it was. I felt like anything that happened to us after leaving Aroogas would be more enjoyable by comparison, like getting a paper cut or cleaning my cats litter box. The place was loud, cold and smelly. Food and drinks were way overpriced for their level of quality. I dont think I will ever go to an Aroogas again, unless forced at gun point.

I have Experienced a lot of restaurants on the Carlisle Pike (Route 11) in Mechanicsburg including Aroogas. But after the Take out service I received on super bowl Sunday, February 2, 20014 I Decided to voice my Opinion in words to the Public and to Aroogas should they decide to read their reviews. I called in my order at 5:30P.M. for Crab Dip with Soft Pretzel Bites, and 50 Wings 25 Naked (No Sauce)and 25 Hot with Celery and Blue Cheese. I was then told my order would be ready at 6:30P.M. When I arrived my Order was waiting for me, So I Proceeded to the Cashier Station they had set up for call ahead orders. Well it seems some guy was having a problem with his order they had misplaced, so I asked if I could be cashed out at another station so my food wouldnt get cold waiting. at first I was told by an employee that I had to wait (Not Cool Aroogas) then the manager step in to assist me.( Thanks Steve) So I Finally was given my order and left but when I got home to my surprise the food was totally cold,I had no celery or Blue Cheese and the Soft Pretzel bites were Burnt(Not Cool Aroogas) and to top it off I was charged a Pick up fee for choosing Aroogas to get my Wings from which I had traveled all the way from Carlisle.(Really Aroogas come on again Not Cool) The Manager did take off 10% of the Bill after explaining my being upset about the whole Ordeal :( Needless to say I will probably be finding another sports grill in the future.) Sorry Aroogas Customer wins this round on Super Bowl Sunday..

I go to Aroogas frequently but todays visit was terrible! First when I walk in I stand at the counter for 15min to wait to get seated...then a fellow customer told me to just grab a seat. So after 10min after sitting down a waitress came over and took our orders. It took about 50min to get our food and when someone brought them out I realized I got the wrong sauce on my wings so when she came by to check on us I told her and she told me I said buffalo ranch not bbq ranch and basically argued with me which is totally unprofessional...so about 15min later she brought the "right ones" out but these were bbq not bbq ranch. So when I was about to leave I asked for a to go cup and a box. She literally ran and got me a box and the to go cup...she ran back and I realized she put Pepsi not Diet Pepsi like I ordered plus it had no ice and was only filled half way. Obviously most of this one review was based toward the waitress and she did look tired and stressed out but I saw plenty of managers just standing at the bar watching TV the whole time I was there. This whole visit just made the whole business look unprofessional and sloppy and it may effect my business with them in the future.

I can remember coming out here just 3-4 years ago with the guys, sitting down to a great meal with excellent service. The last several visits have shown me that my money spent wasnt just welcome but needed. Since opening in our area the menu has shrunk, the quality has gone down while the prices climb. You used to have to wait to get a table in the always packed dining room. Now its an empty space with few patrons. Our meal came out before our appetizer. The manager worked hard to make it right; but his generosity is comparable to giving life jackets to the passengers of Titanic. It felt nice; but the ship is sinking. The company has expanded and added more restaurants at the consequence of boasting a menu that reflects conservation of assets. This once gem is clearly forecasting a near future spent sharing memories made without the venue to back the stories.

Dirty. Lazy staff. The waitress, after being informed that I was gluten free for medical reasons -not preference- chose to "help me out" by swapping my order of a Stella Artois Cidre (made with apples and safe for celiacs) for a plain old Stella beer (fullogluten). Best part is she didnt tell me, so I had to run to the bathroom to spit out the first swig. When brought to her attention she shrugged and said they were out of Cidre so... No apologies. We had two full tables of people, half our food came out cold. Not "not hot", literally cold. The manager seemed to be doing her best, but that wasnt enough to make us want to ever come back. Tl;dr: Dont advertise yourself as a safe place for celiacs and others who have to be gluten free unless youve educated your staff about making food and drink substitutions without asking their customers.

Each visit to a chain restaurant is different depending on whos working that night and on the location, so this rating is just based on my visit last night. Its been 4-5 stars previously. The aesthetic and the server were wonderful, and my party loved their food, but I wasnt very crazy about mine (I still havent found my go-to order here) and the wait time for us to get our food was absurd. Plus, my food was just warm when it got to me - it was no longer hot. Again, the server was lovely, it was overall a good experience for a dinner out, and Ill keep going back and ordering new things to give it more chances to win me over fully, but I was not all that satisfied with my specific visit last night. Be wary if you too are going to this location on a weekend evening.
