We ordered take out from Sai Gon last night and will definitely be calling them again. The woman who took our order was friendly and helpful, for starters. Our food was ready for us when we arrived, no waiting. And the meal! We had the fried shrimp appetizer and spring rolls to start, and both were delicious. The peanut sauce with the spring rolls perfectly enhanced the fresh taste of the rolls. The shrimp were large, and the tamarind sauce unique and delicious. Our entree was a large wonton soup. The dumplings were obviously freshly made, and the order included a generous amount of sliced pork, bean sprouts and bok choy. My companion and I both kept commenting on how flavorful the broth was, too. For the price, we had a generously sized and delicious meal. I cant wait to go there again.

It doesnt surprise me that some people dont like this place. Lancaster is the home of the Noodle and Potato worship society that doesnt like things "Too spicy or different". I have tried the spicy beef Pho (menu item 80), and another large bowl of soup with pork and shrimp (menu item 26), but by far my favorite is menu item S4. If you think that you would not enjoy tofu, think again. This dish is like a large salad with rice noodles and the wonderfully spiced and cooked firm tofu, along with been sprouts, shredded cucumber, lettuce, cilantro and mint. It is served with a small dish of rice wine salad dressing on the side, so that you may dress it to your tastes. This is a dish that you cant get just anywhere. Its like a huge unwrapped spring roll! Go to Saigon Cafe and enjoy it.

Best food in Lancaster. Family owned and operated. And its all excellent food. Try anything - its all really really really good. Pho is great. Lemongrass Stir-frys are very popular. As are the spring rolls. Everything on the menu is Delicious. My favorites include: #62 If Im in the mood for a salad, #32 for a wonderful light seafood soup with perfectly cooked lump crabmeat and shrimp, #57 for a perfect bowl of Pho, or #S7 for the very best broth with yummy wontons. And if Im really hungry, or have someone with me to share with, or just want to play with my food, my all-time favorites #88 (vegetarian) or #77 (shrimp). So, if youre hungry and like good food, especially if you like exceptional Vietnamese food - EAT HERE!!!

Staff pleasant but this was by far the worst Vietnamese food I have ever tasted. From burnt egg rolls with mystery filling to dreary vegetables and gamey tasting roast pork. The cook would be flogged in NY if he tried to cook this in many traditional Vietnamese restaurants. Those that rate this food five star must never have had real Vietnamese grilled meats and Cha Gio (Egg Rolls w traditional meat filling). If your not a local stay clear of this establishment or be sure to walk out disappointed.

Ive been dining here for over 10 years and its still my go to place for traditional style Pho. Folks who say things like "bad service, bland soup, etc. are in my opinion simply self-entitled know nothings. The restaurant is family owned, family staffed and you will not see another noodle house in range of the city that gets a more Asian clientele. Ive been to more than 50 Vietnamese noodle houses throughout the US and for Lancaster county, this one is Tops.

This is one awesome restaurant. They have the best Asian style food in the Area, far better than the other "noodle" restaurant in town. Youd have to go to NYC to find food as good. The people who run the restaurant are very friendly and know how to make authentic Vietnamese food. Their grilled pork is to die for but everything else is great too. Their portions are huge and the food is fresh. Highly recommended!!! Id give them 6 stars if I could.

Alright this is towards Guyvers comment. What are you talking about? If you think Rice and Noodles pho is good then there must be something wrong with your taste bud. They have the worst pho I have ever tasted in my life. So people don't take Guyvers review serious cuz he doesn't know what he's talking about. As far as pho Saigon Cafe has the best pho in town....they definitely give you more food for the price you pay..

The food is delicious and almost always very fresh. The pho is delicious (we order #48 - extra large, extra meat), and so are their spring rolls and egg rolls. My family also loves #5 (fried chicken) and S-2 (chicken lemongrass with rice noodle). The owners and staff are SO friendly and nice. We love them! We order food to-go from here every week because they are consistently good. Go check them out!!!

My fiance and I tried Saigon for the first time on Valentines Day at lunch. The restaurant was pretty full but we had an easy time getting seated. The food we tried was delicious! We had both the spring and egg rolls as an appetizer and the wonton soup with dumplings for our meal. Both were superb and were served quickly. Would definitely recommend!!

We go here for the Vegetarian Food and HOLY COW is it good. I think this is one of the best kept secrets in Lancaster. And I hesitate to tell anyone else about it because Im worried people will start finding out about it! This food is authentic and delicious and its difficult to be disappointed by it.

Very friendly staff, had pho and it was wonderful! I liked how thinly sliced the steak was, broth was very flavorful. I also enjoyed the slice of lime in my water and they give you orange slices at the end of your meal, those extra touches go a long way! Will be back when Im in the area for sure!

Their Spring and Vietnamese egg rolls are to die for just fantastic I had this soup called "Bun Bo Hue" If you can finish this you are pretty good and all the fine herbs and peppers as a side dish just add to the soup. A must treat. A good place to practice eating with Chop Sticks!!

Bun Bo Hue all the way. Pho tai is full of luscious, deep beefy flavor. Chx Pho is better than any chicken soup your grandma makes. Specialty drinks are more than a novelty. The Black Jelly is delicious. Avocado shakes for days. 10/10 would recommend.

Ive been here a few times and loved it. I gave 4 stars (as opposed to 5) only because I have had very little Vietnamese food to compare it to, and because Ive had the same bowl of Pho every time, so I cant speak to much of the menu..

Ive only had the pho, but Ive had it many times and its always been great and the staff are very nice as well. I wasnt expecting much from a Vietnamese restaurant in Lancaster, but I was very happily surprised.

Love this spot! Of the 8 or so Vietnamese restaurants in the greater Harrisburg area, Saigon Cafe is my favorite. They have a large selection and their specials are well worth a try. Dont miss the wontons!
