Went there Dec. 10th 2016 with my wife. In all honesty we were just looking for a place to eat and just happened to see it from the road. I didnt even know the place existed, they could really benefit from a sign. When we went in the "doorman" was on the entire other side of the restaurant. He stopped us from sitting down at the one table that didnt have a reserved sign, not by coming over but rather we looked his direction and he waved us over. We went over and then we asked for seating for two. We looked in his book really fast then told us all the tables were reserved until 7:30. I looked at my clock and it was 5pm. My wife started to say that tables not reserved but I cut her off, said thanks and we walked out. We werent dressed the best but rather for comfort. The impression I and my wife got, we that they did not want us there. That is fine by both of us, we likely have more money than all of the customers they had on the floor so we found it amusing they judged us. We went elsewhere and will likely never return again. This is the review I left on Facebook, since then it took management almost 2 months to respond. When they finally did, all they could say was I made my point and then questioned my moral character. If I was you, I would stay away from this place. There are far better craft brew places in the county with way better service, layouts and dare I say management. Now review is hidden, comments deleted and Im blocked. Very shady place. Who knows how many bad reviews are now hidden from the public. Stay away.

The building is recently renovated and the interior is nice enough. We were disappointed though and wont be going back. If you are there for the drinks, you might be happy because that seems to be their focus but we werent. The menu is one page (and somewhat hard to read) with the back listing cocktails. Youre also given a large draft menu and another menu for wine. We found the food menu a little humorous - how they could turn "Tacos", "Mac & Cheese", etc into something odd. My wife ordered a cup of soup (5$) which was OK she said, and a mixed greens salad w root vegetables ($9). It looked like a large bowl of parsnip sprigs. Not sure how that was "mixed" greens. We tried to identify the few chunks of something else, thinking some may have been red potato and we couldnt identify the other. I ordered what seemed the safest - brisket with gnocchi ($15). The brisket was fairly tasty but a little dry to chew. I saw another guy gnawing on his as well. I gave some to my wife so she wouldnt starve. Also, while I like blue-cheese, it was too much and too strong in a soggy gnocchi. We left somewhat hungry. It also seemed the waitress was a little irritated that we werent ordering anything else when it came time to pay. For $36 with tax and tip we were not impressed.

The food itself was good, but the portions were small enough that the party decided that we might need to go get more food afterwards. The wait for the food was also long enough that everyone was looking at each other and groaning about it, as people do. I had the chicken and waffles, which is a tandoori dish with wafers rather than proper waffles. These were a little too dry. As I said, it was good, but it didnt knock my socks off. The cup of tomato bisque was average. The chicharones, however, were fantastic, as was the aioli and the other dipping oil that came with it. The beer selection has some fun and esoteric inclusions, but they lose a star straight off the top for the cocktail and whiskey prices, which would be comically bad if they were not instead offensively bad. The cocktail sizes are also quite small. I dont see a particular draw to go back.

WOW! What a jem weve discovered this evening! We had a wonderful meal here, which consisted: Zucchini roll (A++), Pate Tasting (A, great taste of pates, but could be even better with more variety of pickled veg. accompaniments), Beet Gnocchi (A+), Pork Cheeks (A+), Oxtail Cannelloni (A+), Scallops (A in taste, but their size was really small), and Blueberry cobbler for dessert (A). Everything was very interesting, creative and delicious. The ambiance is very relaxing and hipster, and the service was nice, efficient and professional. Nick was very informative answering our questions, has a great sense of humor and communicating with him was a pleasure. The value was great too, and they have a great choice of beer and many other delicacies in the menu and in adjacent store. Well definitely keep this place in mind when in the area.

First time going there, saw they had a great selection on tap and more for sale bottle wise. Went there after work and was dissapointed several ways. First off the bottle shop was closed (closed at 7pm) so couldnt look through the variety for sale, second the beer I wanted (and still up on display) was kicked, so I went for a different one I was going for. Atmosphere was nice, up to date, and inviting to more of a younger crowd. The service was mediocre, bartenders didnt smile or seem happy to be there. Word of advise, If something has kicked, you should immediately pull it off the menu and replace it just like many other places Ive gone too do. I cant review the food as I did not stay for that, but the beer I did have (Stone EB 4/20) was delicious and the price was fair.

Tonight (Thursday) was oyster night. I was actually there for the featured hard ciders (which were beautifully written-up on a special menu for the evening). I tried three different ciders (with helpful suggestions from our knowledgeable waitress Kalli) to accompany my two appetizers; octopus and rabbit. Outstanding, creative menu. The dessert options were equally imaginative (I had the olive oil pastry - sounds weird until you realize we think nothing of eating butter pastry). Everything was delicious and attractively presented. This restaurant holds its own against any popular eatery in a major city. (But, please, dont go there! If too many people find out I wont be able to get a table anymore.)

Sometimes service is perhaps a bit too laid back but they are always friendly and happy to answer any questions you might have. The food is always top notch and the tap list is one of the finest tap lists in the area for the size of it. The bartenders really know what they are doing if you are in the mood for a cocktail. Any time the wife and I hit Lancaster for a night out, we make sure that a stop at Hunger-N-Thirst is included. The bottles in the bottle shop are a bit pricey but what bottle shop isnt? They have one of the better bottle shops around. The meat and cheese selection here is the best I know of around the area and we always go home with a cooler full of goodies.

We send our guests here often for lunch or dinner. They love it. With 24 taps there is a beer for everyone. The food is excellent with the asparagus fries leading the way. Their menu changes frequently to highlight what is fresh and local. If you are the Lancaster area you should really give it a try. The Marketplace has wonderful kitchen items, a wide selection of cheese and the bottle room a huge selection of beer to take home at reasonable prices. With your lunch or dinner receipt the Marketplace will give 10% off of same day purchases. Check out the wide selection of local artisan cheese and local humanely raised sausage.
