Food had no flavor and one of our filet mignons was overcooked. The owner, George, came over. Did he apologize? No. He gave us excuses. He said, "its very busy and everyone makes mistakes." Really? At $35 dont give me an excuse. Apologize and make it right. When he came back with the steak he said, "Im not going to fire the chef." I said, "No one asked you to. But when Im paying $35 I dont want excuses." He continied and we told him to leave. Fortunately, we had a great waitress, Kelly. She was very professional. I wish I could give 0 stars to this very loud, very bad restaurant.

Hillside has consistently the best steaks in the Harrisburg area! Steaks come to the table on sizzling steel plates, cooked to perfection and delicious! Several housemade dressings,one of the best meat sauces for spaghetti, desserts to die for (peanut butter pie is the best weve ever had)! So glad they came back after a fire destroyed the place several years ago. Thank-you for being so good at what you do!

My girlfriend and I stopped by on a whim today not expecting much. We were both blown away by the level of service (Renee you were fantastic) and quality of food. We were initially a bit taken back at some of the appetizer and soup prices but quickly found this easier swallow upon our first tastes of our dishes. We both look forward to a return trip to Hillside th next time were in the area.

Has been hit or miss for us here... Service has always been friendly, food for the most part has been good but a little pricey. Slightly deterred after our last visit when it appeared our waitress forgot about us and we went 40 mins unattended just waiting for the check... Can say its the first time as a 28 year old man that I strongly considered dine & dash scenario..

Its > OK. The service was pretty good but the food was priced way over the quality presented. These Folks rate themselves as best in the area for steak but honestly the Steak here is mediocre at best. If you live in the area its pretty handy if youre hungry and in a bind otherwise there are other places that will give you much better quality for a better price.

Our server was great! But the food was awful! So pricey and not even good! Over-cooked, under-seasoned steaks for all of us. No crab in the crab cakes and especially the crab dip. Over-cooked, dry stuffed flounder. The vegetables had no color and were sitting in a pool of oil. The coleslaw had no flavor. We wont ever go there again.

It was fantastic! The food was great, the servers were even better, and Ive never talked to an owner that cared so much about his customers experience. Will definitely be coming back. Sir if you reading this, this is the powerlifters (thanks for the deserts)

This place is the best. Do yourself s favor and get a steak. Mine was served sizzling and cooked perfectly. Great staff all around. We got the chocolate peanut butter pie for dessert and it was amazing. Absolutely love it here.

Best Steakhouse in the region. Skip the chains & go to Hillside for quality & portions well worth the competitive prices. Relaxed & casual ambiance. Great staff. Happy hour on weekdays 5 - 7 (as of June 2017).

Steaks are Fried there, not char-broiled, someone needs a lesson on making soups.(no roux)..The food is just OK, and BLAND, AND PRICEY, but fare warning, look elsewhere for employment.

Sadly, Ive had good steak here before. This time it was WAY over cooked or way undercooked and not seasoned at all for members of our 6 party group. Waitress was easily confused.

Very nice inside since they rebuilt. Of course it is a little expensive, but it is a steak house. Dont forget about their burgers, they are very good!
