My boyfriend and I were in Erie for the night and wanted to try something unique rather than all of the chain restaurants. We found Sushi and Asian Cuisine on Google and the reviews sounded positive so we decided to give it a try. It doesnt stand out from the street but when you walk it, it is decorated nicely and the server immediately shows you to a table. We had the large portion of the fried egg noodle with shrimp, bean sprouts, onions, and green peppers. It was delicious! As we were eating, we both kept commenting how happy we were that we found this gem. We also had a few rolls of sushi which were tasty and fresh. There was only one server and one cook but we had our food within 5 minutes and the server never let our drinks go below half empty. Overall a very positive experience! I wish we had somewhere like this in Pittsburgh!

Having lived in a NYC Chinatown for a while and being spoiled with excellent Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, and Korean food during my NYC tenure, I came to Erie without high expectations regarding Asian cuisine. Today we stumbled upon a restaurant worthy of our tastebuds on State St. Sushi and Asian Cuisine is definitely a place worth checking out, and is much better than take out "Chinese" food we have had since moving in. We will definitely be back and are looking forward to trying out more of that fine looking menu!

I am an avid sushi eater and this was hands down the most terrible experience. My salmon tasted as if it was on the edge of spoiled. Both my friend and myself each ordered 2 plates and we collectively ate 4 pieces, not only was it disgusting but we immediately felt sick after leaving. The reviews are highly misleading if you have any experience with Japanese cuisine. This establishment needs a visit from the health inspector at the very least. Avoid at all costs.

Highly recommend! The food was excellent and tasted authentic, the portion sizes matched the prices, atmosphere was pleasant and our large order came out super quick! Its a shame this restaurant isnt more popular, because it deserves to be. We were very pleased with the entire experience and thoroughly enjoyed the Pad Thai, Erie Rolls and House Special. Even their fried rice with chicken was tasty.

Love that they have lunch and dinner sized portions. The Hawaiian roll is delicious, and my soft shell crab in creamy butter sauce was amazing! My mother-in-law is from the Philippines, and my husband said the cooking was as good as his mothers, and she is a great cook! It may seem a tad pricey, but if you are used to sushi prices, theirs are very competitive!

Guys dont rate it good if it is not good. Lighting is terrible, food is terrible, I use your rating to go try a place and you guys fail me. You guys must not have eaten good Asian food before to consider this restaurant as good. But sorry this have to be the bottom of the list. Try it and be your own judge. Unless all those ratings are just fake accounts.

Rarely am I compelled to write a restaurant review. This is the most bland food I can recall ingesting. We ordered four different things. What they were doesnt matter because none of them tasted like anything. This was disappointing for the amount we paid. Finishing our meal was a chore. The place wasnt filthy.

Was turned away for no room although, there were empty tables. Rude snobby patrons made me never to want to go there again. Parked in the rear as advertised as extra parking and it was like mountain climbing over unshoveled snow mounds and was unwelcoming atmosphere. Do not recommend.

With a name like "sushi and asian cuisine" you know exactly what you are getting into. The food was decent. Nothing outstanding or bad. Prices are decent. Place was empty at first, but got busier as the night went on. There is some parking in the back if you have trouble on the street.

The rest of the commentators must have never eaten sushi before? This place is awesome! Super clean and nice inside and the food has tremendous flavor for a small price. When you cant fork out $100 for a meal at 1201 this place is a great alternative! Plus BYOB wine!!!

Good quality sushi. Better then CHOPSTIX for sure. Decent prices that will not brake your wallet. I like that you can bring your own wine or beer. It always pleasant to have your favorite drink with food and top settle to a wine list variety.

Awesome little hole in the wall place. Been going here for years. Prices arent bad (as far as sushi places go), and Ive never brought someone in that didnt enjoy it. A must have anytime I bring in friends from out of town!

Sorry but the food needs major improvement, the restaurant lacks any atmosphere. Staff in need of being educated how to work in the restaurant business. If they continue to work like this the business will not last.

Fantastic service. The owner is a kind, hard working person who is genuinely grateful for the customers. He is accommodating to any special requests. One of the finest sushi places in town.

Doesnt look like much on the outside, but it is very nice inside and has great food and sushi at very reasonable prices. Better than wegmans quality and price. Check it out.

The food is awesome and very reasonably priced for sushi. However you should be aware that the service and prep time is very slow. If you can wait the food is worth it.

Nice place in the heart of downtown Erie, much nicer than the cookie cutter Chinese buffets in Harborcreek or upper Peach. Food is good and affordable.

No flavor. Low quality. Place was messy. The food here tastes like it was frozen and just heated up before serving.

The sushi was Ok but the Vietnamese noodle and the salad were too bad. Too expensive for the small hot tea also.
