Phenomenal, and high end trendy spot in Brickell!!!! The recently opened, Komodo Miami, located in Brickell far beat our expectations for such a new restaurant. From the moment you arrive, you are greeted by unusually pleasant and friendly valet staff and receptionists. With valet, they even had a procedure where your ticket was sent to your phone. When you are ready for your car to be brought to you, you just text them and voile, our car was waiting for us, not the other way around. Such a great and convenient touch! We had a reservation for 10 people but had to wait for others in our party who were late. We stopped by their expansive bar and Jessie, the bartender, was fantastic. Within 5 minutes we were taken to our table (downstairs) and were very pleased with the beautiful ambiance. Our only complaint would be the music was a tad too loud, making it difficult to have a conversation at a big table. When going back, if with a larger party, we will sit upstairs, much quieter. Our main server, Hasam, was in a word, phenomenal! He made everyone feel important and was on top of everything in a very timely manner. Definitely the best weve had in S. Florida including Zuma, etc. Since Komodo is more like the trendy "share & eat" format in dining we ordered the following: Pastrami Egg Rolls with Mustard Sauce: DELISH Tempura Calamari: DELISH Lamb Spareribs: DELISH Lobster Dynamite: DELISH...WOW!!!! Vegetable Potstickers: DELISH Angry Shrimp Dumplings: DELISH Pork Belly Skewer: DELISH Peking Duck Salad: DELISH Hearts of Palm Salad: DELISH Sweet Soy Wild Salmon: DELISH Grilled Szechuan Beef: DELISH Hacked Lime Chicken: DELISH 40oz Ribeye: DELISH Peking Duck: DISAPPOINTED...I know this is their "signature" dish but found the skin needed to be much crispier and was not seasoned well, if, at all, very bland. Tuna Porterhouse...very salty which we brought to their attention. Garlic Crab Noodles: DELISH Coconut Black Rice: DELISH Sweet Soy Salmon: DELISH LOBSTER ONION RINGS: DELISH...A MUST!!! Crispy Dino Kale: DELISH Charred Brussell Sprouts: DELISH Wokked Asain Vegetables: DELISH ALL of the various sauces (and there were soooo many) were seriously the best we have had anywhere...Miami and nationally!!!! We also had a variety of luscious desserts, sorry, I dont know the names, all awesome, but do know their pina colada ice creams sundaes were awesome! Their cocktails and coffee were even fantastic! I think I have covered most of what I wanted to convey. Again, our only negative comment was about the duck that we hope they will improve on. Also, was a little pricey for portion sizes but certainly not as bad as some high end competitors. Our bill for 10 people was over $1200, not including a lot of cocktails. It included an 18% gratuity which we felt was not enough for our server, Hasam, so included more of a tip for him. We will definitely be returning and to be spreading the word about Mokodo Miami. You must give this delicious and beautiful restaurant a try!!!

Komodo is currently the best restaurant in Miami, hands down. Ive been twice and have shared about ten different dishes there. There wasnt a single dish I wouldnt give at least an 8 out of 10, and there were several 10s. The consistency of the excellence is hard to believe, and that extends to the cocktails. If I had to pick a strongest point, it would be the noodles. Garlic King Crab Lo Mein, Triple Duck Udon, and Duck Fried Rice were all amazing and served in generous portions. The Peking duck is very good, although I was told we would get the whole duck for $92 and Im fairly sure it was a half. Still enough for four people. The hearts of palm salad with avocado, passionfruit, ginger, lime is addictive. Every ingredient is fresh and crisp and they blend together in tangy excellence. Do not leave without dessert. Not only are they beautiful, they are delicious. Each dessert is definitely enough for two people after a Komodo dinner. I see lots of people wanting to rip Komodo down. Miamians love to go to their top level restaurants and then complain the food wasnt amazing enough to justify the price. One star. Guess what, youre not just paying for the food. The restaurant interior is a world class design, and the patio is awesome with large tables suspended in a network of birds nests above the main dining area. There is nothing ... else ... like ... it ... anywhere. That kind of craft is expensive, and it has to be paid for. If you want $20 entrees, go to Bonefish Grill. And dont order boring things you can get anywhere. like tuna rolls or Chilean seabass or a short rib. Im sure theyre good, but yeah, you could probably get it for cheaper somewhere else. So in summary, dont come here if youre going to be sweating the check because it is going to be large. A hundred bucks a head if you plan to eat and drink well. But if paying that wont put you in a terrible mood, then ignore the haters and get over to Komodo. Its unforgettable.

THIS HAD TO BE THE WORST EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE.. I LITERALLY SAT THERE AND WATCHED EVERYONE EAT HALF OF THEIR FOOD BEFORE I RECEIVED MY FOOD.. THEN ONCE I RECEIVED IT.. IT WAS SUPER SPICY AND DRY, AFTER TELLING MY WAITER IT WAS SPICY, HE DECIDES TO LET ME KNOW THAT IT WAS NOT SPICY..... AFTER SENDING IT BACK AND CANCELLING MY ORDER, THE MANAGER CAME OVER AND POLITELY TOLD ME THAT THE COOK WOULD REMAKE IT TO GO, AND IT WOULD BE OUT SHORTLY.... MEANWHILE I CONTINUED TO STARVE AND WATCH MY FRIENDS EAT THE REMAINDER OF THEIR FOOD.. THEY ATE & GOT THE CHECK & I STILL DIDNT RECEIVE MY FOOD.. ONCE MY FOOD CAME OUT, IT STILL WAS A LIL DRY, BUT I WAS SETTLING DUE TO MY STOMACH GROWLING... THEN LAST BUT NOT LEAST.... I SAT THERE AND WAITED AN EXTRA 15-20 MIN FOR EATING UTENSILS SO I CAN TASTE A LITTLE BIT OF MY FOOD.......... WHICH I WAS UNABLE TO DO SINCE THEY HANDED ME THE UTENSILS WALKING OUT THE RESTAURANT. I WOULD SAY THIS WAS A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY BUT THE RUDE WAITER DID TAKE MY FOOD OFF OF THE BILL.. SO THANKS FOR THAT.... HOWEVER.... BESIDES THAT THIS HAD TO BE THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE... AND A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME..... O.. THE AMBIANCE WAS AMAZING...

I went there ecause I wanted to meet a girl. We had more than a month talking on instagram (This Modern Love) and it was my only chance to meet her because she lives around Ft. Lauderadle. I could not have made a better decision. Before we crashed the dance floor, I enter but I couldnt find her. There I first noticed, while I was looking for FIFI, that Komodo was an extremely well decorated place, a mix of plants, wooden tables, lounges with high ceilings, outdoor stairs. By the time I found out that there was a mini disco, I realized that this place was heaven. The DJ put the most varied music and RANDOM I have heard in times. A mix of Latin music, Rap, Reggae, Dance, Oldies. My story with her was interesting, the place helped us to dance in a quiet way but with people around. The bar with neon lights that attracted your eyes (the prices were within the average Miami area: neither very expensive nor very cheap) but when you are in an environment like this, with the woman you like .. the price is the least you care about. Ill be back, although the next tiem, I would like to eat first and then dance.

Excellent Asian fusion restaurant. Every dish I ever tried was carefully prepared and the taste combination as well as presentation are superb. Nice ambiance. I strongly recommend you sit outside. Request to sit in the "birds nest". It wont cost you extra and it makes it an even better experience. They wont offer it upfront, because the staff doesnt like to go up and down the stairs to serve your party. The main issue I had was with the timing of the dishes. They do not come out at the same time. The dishes are brought to the table as they are ready. I recommend you use the valet service for $15. Last time I was there I parked the car myself and paid $36 for it....
