I would give this particular hotel a high 5 star rating because it was nice and the staff there went out of their way to help us. However I am giving it 1 star for the new Marriott centralized booking system in hopes they see this and do something about it. On at least two occasions recently we attempted to book rooms at a Marriott. Both were absolutely awful experiences when we simply called back to make a change to booking error by the person we spoke with and to extend our stay a few days beyond our original booking. Marriott seems to have a newly implemented central call center to take reservations and handle bookings, at least across the entire US. Unfortunately we have never reached someone who could actually help us with anything beyond making the initial reservation. On the first occasion we booked at Phila. Marriott West for a single night and then got a confirmation for two nights. When calling back they couldnt find the reservation by name and kept asking for a confirmation number related to our reservation but there wasnt one listed on the confirmation we received via email so they were unable to help us at all, constantly making ridiculous excuses about not being able to search by name. After a couple tries with a couple different call center people we found the local number and called the front desk, even though we had been advised not to, and they were able to get someone actually working at the Philadelphia location to resolve our issue quite quickly. Thanks local staff! The second time was just this week when we were extending our stay for a room booked through a wedding block by the bride on our behalf. Again, we had a confirmation email without a number and the same problem occurred when we called. After about an hour and two call center staff trying to help we gave up and will try to address this problem directly with the local hotel in the Boston area. They couldnt even find the block of rooms booked by the wedding party despite clearly sending us an email confirmation! Needless to say, we will absolutely be avoiding Marriott hotels in the future when at all possible. I dont have hours to needlessly spend on the phone dealing with a clearly awful centralized booking system.

My girlfriend and I spent a weekend here as a get-away and wished we had taken our business to one of the other suite-type places available in the area. This Marriott, however, was the one that accepted our Priceline bid. They then felt they had to charge $15/day to park in their almost empty garage, wanted to charge $13 for Internet access in the room, didnt provide the free breakfast(s) mentioned in their regular Priceline ad, and charged $1 per local call--all things that would have been included at the other suite places--so it wasnt much of a bargain after all. We didnt have a suite--just a normal size hotel room, a cramped space for a weekend in--or even a microwave. On the plus side, the king bed was luxurious and the pool/whirlpool was pleasant. Everything else (staff, cleanliness, restaurant, etc.) were typical of what youd expect in a 3.5-star hotel. If you can get past the nickel-and-diming they feel compelled to do, its an OK hotel for a business trip, but I dont recommend it if you intend to spend much time in the room.

Well, let me start by saying I booked this hotel online and the rate I was quoted and payed for was 57.00 a night. BUT when I got to the front desk to check in after a 10 hour drive from Charlotte nc I was told that the hotel would NOT honor that price and I would have to pay 100.00 a night to stay there. The staff was nasty and unaccommodating to me and my family and when I tried to get clarity on why we were being charged the extra per night when CLEARLY I was quoted and PAYED for 57.00 a night the man at the desk was SO unprofessional and his body language was that of someone who couldnt handle conflict and wanted to take me outside for a fair one!! I was also disappointed with the beds, they were small and uncomfortable the maids also knocked on the door 8am for CLEANING!!! I will NEVER recommend or Stay in this hotel EVER AGAIN,OH and I forgot to mention the 94.00 HOLD they put on my card for "incidentals" ! DONT STAY HERE THEY ARE RUDE! AND ROOMS ARE NOT UP TO PAR...

This is a full service hotel so it has all the amenities you would expect. Service was fantastic. For example, as I was leaving I was thanked for staying by every single staff I came across. In the lobby in the morning, the desk staff was out front and walked over to ask if there was anything that could get did me before I left. The room was a bit of an old floor plan, but had clearly just been renovated. It was room 619 which was a corner king, with two big windows, one of which overlooked the river. The bed was very good. Shower was great. Work desk had plenty of space, power, and a comfortable chair. There was a fridge as well which I really appreciate. Breakfast bar was very high quality. It included real scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, some tasty cheese filled pod, along with the normal assortment of fruit and pastries. Everything was great. No complaints and I will stay there again if Im in the area.

Very Clean Rooms, friendly staff, and a convenient Wawa sits across the street. Complimentary Breakfast for Platinum Members is above average, because of its In-House restaurant... Negatives: rooms are small; executive lounge for Platinum Members is a poor representation of Marriotts standards in this area; but lastly, which is more disconcerting is the appearance corporate ethical issues involving room rate fluctuations. *Out of the 25 times Ive stayed here every time ; literally every time, rooms on Priceline are $64-$68; but any member rate or corporate rate is always between $189-$299. This gap is really to consistent and large, not to draw questions of Marriotts borderline unethical model of valuing and devaluing room rates.

The hotel is lovely BUT is it so difficult to get a decent cup of coffee??? I never use the coffee that is complimentary in the room - I order coffee from room service. I was extremely annoyed when my coffee arrived in a cardboard box accompanied by paper cups and fake creamers. The coffee was disgusting. A receipt for$17.00 was taped to the tacky cardboard box. I dont mind paying $17.00 for decent coffee delivered on a tray in a carafe with ceramic cups. I suggest you visit other hotels- the Hilton and the Four Seasons would Never deliver decrepit coffee in a cardboard box. In addition- the complimentary coffee in the library was also terrible. Thanks for nothing!

Only negative impact I see is very close proximity to interstate and railroad tracks. Seems to be built well enough to shield the noise. Ill change rating if I have trouble sleeping tonight. Otherwise nice lobby with free WiFi and Legends restaurant with easy access. They also provide room service. There is as well a convenience store in the lobby. The room is comfortable, fresh and nicely appointed. It has a couch and being in the corner I have views on two sides. Im on a 24 HR business trip or would explore more. It seems more of a business location than resort getaway, but it is nice.
