My wife and I stopped here in March 24, 2012. We loved the decor, the setting, the quaint street it was on - everything about it seemed like the right kind of place for a nice date-night. There was a 20 minute wait for a table so we went into the bar for a beer while we waited. Being beer-snobs, we were delighted with the great selection of beer, both bottled and drought. The Syracuse / Ohio B-ball game was starting so we decided to take a table in the bar to watch it, instead of seat in the dining room. We ordered an appetizer - it was good. Our server "Mike" came back and was seemed inattentive. He gathered up our menus and turned to leave without asking what we wanted for dinner. We had to tell him that we wanted to order. My wife gave her order and he turned to walk away again and I had to tell to to hold on - that Id like some dinner too! He turned to walk again and AGAIN we had to stop him to ask for another round of beer. He came back a few minutes later, without the beer, to ask my wife what side option she wanted. She told him that the menu claimed that no sides were included with her order. He told her she was mistaken and ask for her selection. We asked for our beer again. He came back a couple minutes later, without our beer, to tell my wife that she was correct, that she does not get a side, then asked me what my dinner order was again (he forgot). I told him and then asked AGAIN for our beers. He finally brought our beer then. We watched three other couples come in, place orders, get their food without issue - we still had not received ours meal, and Mike was not coming around to check on us. Finally my wife spoke at him two tables away that we were STILL waiting for our meal. He quickly left his conversation and returned from the kitchen with our luke-warm, heat-lamp kept, dried-out dinners, placed them on our table and walked away without a word. Being we had just waited a full 1st half of a March Madness B-ball game for our meal, we were hungry and ate it even though it was not fresh. It tasted good - but Im sure it would have been fantastic if it was brought to us 20 minutes earlier when it was ready. It was not until we were completely done eating that he finally came back. He didnt ask us how it was, but I told him anyway - that it was obvious that it was sitting under the heat lamp for an extended period of time - that he must have forgotten about us. He said it was the "runners" responsibility to bring out the meal to us when its ready. I say it is the servers responsibility to make sure his/her customers are taken care of and NOT pass the buck to the "runner". To sum it up; great place, great beer, great location, great food - if you get a server who doesnt disappoint your experience. We would not rate this place based on our experience of one server. Clearly we were the "unlucky" ones that evening. We noted that others were having much better experiences than we were. Jim & Liz

I took my boyfriend there for his birthday dinner along with his kids. I thought the food was pricey. He ordered the porterhouse steak. He asked for medium rare and it was closer to well. He did ask for a new steak and they did make it right the second time. The steak was supposed to be a 16 0z porterhouse at $24. What he got was a steak that you would expect from a dinner or the Waffle house. The steak was about a 1/4 of an inch thick. It was also mushy as if they put tendorizer on it. I ordered the pan seared salmon at $26. My piece of salmon small, had no taste and the outside of it was not seared it was fried and hard. The vegetable of the day was beyond oniony. Would I go back? No and was disappointed immensely since it was a special occasion.

Decor and lighting were just plain uninspired. Everything is 70s orange, and its very dark and plain inside with Home Depot looking ceiling fans and wall sconces. Service was courteous but very slow. Menu tries to be "hip & urban" but tries too hard. Especially for a small rural town in PA. There really needs to be some more classics on the menu such as gourmet pizza or stacked burgers. The bean and feta burger on a kaiser roll I ordered was a complete fail. Flavorless and almost no seasoning. The kids menu is not in the least kid-friendly. I really wanted to like this place but was quite disappointed.

Literally everything went wrong, waited for 15 minutes for a sever to greet me, and I sat next to the kitchen door.. then I moved up stairs ordered my food, came out in decent time. Ordered the black bean burger, literally the worst one I have every had. It was like pudding on the inside and sand on the outside. Made no sense and tasted awful. Manager said it was their special recipe and it was suppose to be like that.. like what. They did give me my money back, and I never ask for that, it has to be really bad. Sweet potato fries were really great as the plus, and my server was good.

Two friends and myself stopped there after a two and one half hour driver from New York and a tour of the town. We were very dissapointed. First we were asked if we had a reservation which we didnt becasue they were so booked. However, we were quickly seated and surrounded by tables tht remained empty for most of our meal. The waitress was very pleasant, but did not come around often to see if we needed anything, such as drink refills etc. One of my friends meals had undercooked vegetables and overcooked chicken. My pasta was slightly overcooked. We will not go back there again.

I gave this place an extra star because the staff was nice. Food was not good at all. Everything was cold. My wife sent her breakfast back and it was returned luke warm. The table was dirty, the wall was dirty. No attention to detail. The chef must be asleep in the kitchen. Completely overpriced. $7.00 for a bowl of oatmeal...really! Clearly the same person who "manages" the Inn, "manages" the restaurant. Dont waste you time or money.

Absolutely terrible service. The female manager on duty was the worst part. Clearly shes the reason there are not higher standards expected. I cant believe the owners of this establishement would want their guests treated as terribly as they are allowed to. Definitely would not recommend this as a place to take your family. Such a shamed because had Beyer experiences in the past but will never go back after this visit.

The service here sucks. We were group of 4 guys and it took the bartender 20 minutes to bring the first round of drinks, and the place wasnt even packed. As soon as we got our first round we ordered same round two, thinking it takes forever, this time she took another 30 mins. We had ordered food with drinks we ended up taking the food to go as it came after 45 mins when we were leaving because of horrible service.
