This was my mine and my hubbys first diner experience since moving to PA from SoCal. The place was packed but we managed to get a table. We sat down and ordered. He got pancakes with eggs, said they were ok, but hes had better. I got a "California" burger, it seems out here a regular burger is a bun, meat and cheese, but if you order it "California" style it comes with mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion and sometimes bell pepper. This was one of those bell pepper places. Still not sure why its "California" style, guess us Cali people are the only state to but other things on our burgers! haha! Anyway, the burger was barely ok and the fries, well, unless you get steak fries out here dont bother ordering any, unless of course youre use to them being some weird coated then fried french fry! We wont be going back to this place, it just wasnt good enough to be put on the list!

We were at he Top Last night, Bobby Koch DJ was there from 10:00 til 2:00....It was a great time, and a very good crowd. The newly remodeled Bar area is a big improvement over the old place. Having Bobby there is the best idea they have ever had. They should have him there at least one night a week on a steady basis. The music he plays is perfect to bring in the right type of people. Bobbys new Web Site looks great and is the perfect venue for places like the Top Dine to advertise there events.....I hope the owner of the Top is smart enough to bring Bobby in regularly. It could be the best decision hes made since the remodel.

I used to go here often until the service became pretty bad. A group of my friends would go until we got into an altercation with the one waiter because he was just a flat out douche to us not on one but on two of our visits there and then we just stopped going. I returned yesterday for the first time in a year because a friend of mine wanted something to go. The environment was well, the food very good as usual but the staff still was kinda bad. Theres very few of them that are friendly and kind to you and it kinda blows for how well everything else is and its not that hard to find a place just as good with friendly staff.

My wife and I now eat at this diner quite often since its recent renovation. The atmosphere is now very clean, fresh, relaxed, and yet has an artistic flair. The food?....even better. Everything is reasonably priced, and tastes great. For breakfast, you will receive the cuisine and service that everyone in the valley loves about our local diners. Lunch and dinner offer some great home cooked style entrees. We visit top diner more than any other for all these reasons.

This is hands down my favorite diner in the Valley. I have good things to say about their competition, of which there are many, but this place is truly a gem. The food is consistently good, reasonably priced, and well portioned. For example, Im always satisfied with their eggs. You tell tell a lot about a place by their eggs, and Im very picky about them. Their shakes are simple, yet out of this world. In short, its always a treat.

Really good food for a diner, and you can tell its popular with the locals. It can be very busy in here at all the usual times like Sundays, late on the weekends. Always good service. If you like going out for a quick bite at a diner with a friend or to just sit down for coffee, this is definitely a good place to go. Have to say I havent ever walked out of here feeling dissatisfied about the experience.

I came here because of a review i read saying, "large portions low prices". the menu was limited and food bland. I always try to support local businesses but if i can get better food at a better price at a Waffle House, I wont be returning. Not to be all negative, the servers were very friendly and kept my cup full of coffee at all times. (the service would be why i returned)

Food was very good, I had the broiled crab cakes. Service was decent. First thing I heard our waitress say was saying that she will "leave this job, she doesnt care". I know every job is frustrating, and by the end she was a lot more friendly, so I wont leave a bad review off of that. We had a party of 11 including two kids, and food was delivered at a good speed.

Love this place. Used to go here all the time when it still allowed smoking. It was a great spot to catch up with old friends and that hasnt changed. Atmosphere has gotten even better since the renovations and service is always good whether during rush or at 2AM. Surprisingly havent tried the breakfast but on my way now to do so.

Possibly the best pancakes Ive ever had. Great service. Everything was perfect and delicious. I can imagine that the staff probably has to deal with trashy people on a daily basis so I was surprised that they were still so friendly ..........................................And I dont even like Diners :-)

Large portions, amazing food, cheap prices, great service... It doesnt get better than that. My fiancé and I shared a huge appetizer, each got our own meals, got a soda and coffee and it only cost us $17 and all of this at 2 in the morning. We will definitely be going back again very soon.

Son and I are from Colorado. We were in Allentown for a funeral. Lunch with family at Top Diner after the cemetery was as best as anyone can expect. Food and service was AOK. I believe family had reserve the back large area. Thank you. Mike from Colorado

I am describing my experience at the bar. Drinks at great prices and the bartenders are great people. Janelle is great with the drinks and very personable. Jotty is also great, both will make feel at home. Dnt forget friday karaoke nights.

Good food go there all the time, but I fell asleep one time and instead waking me up they CALLED THE COPS ON ME AND ALMOST GOT ME KILLED BUT BESIDES THAT THE FOOD IS GOOD ... TELL THEM TO HOLD THE CHIPS ON THE BLT AND JUST GIVE US FRIES

This is my favorite diner in Allentown. We typically go for breakfast or late night. They give you a good amount of food, have a lot of choices, and the cost of the food is great ranging from $5-$10. Definitely recommend it to anyone.

Sat for awhile. Servers and hostess were talking. Finally a server came by. Totally ignored us, didnt even take a drink order. Walked out , never to return again! (Oh, the manager got a drink for the hostess though.)

I am basing my review on the servers and the hostess. Morning service is pretty good and the hostess has always been super nice! Things are different from a few years ago but still not a bad place to eat.
