This is pretty much your standard McMenamins faire. Their burgers are harty and filling. Especially their Wilbur burger with ham, egg, bacon, and a huge patty. Literally a breakfast on a burger bun. I highly recommend that you pair it with their cajun tots. Not too hot and an amazing spice flavor. I however dont understand why the McMenamins brothers decided it would be a good idea to go the Applebees route with their franchise. Dont get me wrong, the food and service is amazing but theyre losing their character they once had with the route theyre going. Seriously guys you need to stop doing buildings from the ground up and slapping Applebees like crap on the walls. They used to buy these awesome old buildings, fancy it up, and turn it into a wonderful work of food and art like they did at the Kennedy School in Portland. If you want to see McMenamins in their unique glory days Id suggest skipping this one and going to that one instead.

Depending on who is working that day, service and food can go one way or the other. Emma by far is the best person who works there. If she is back in the kitchen you get really great food and in a timely manner and if she is out serving you get awesome customer service with her fun personality. Everyone else has their good days and bad days. They are frequently understaffed and that can led to slow service but they do the best they can. If you arent in a rush and you are a laid back person and you have a companion to talk to its nice any time you go. If you are up tight and in a rush you should consider another pub.

This was a decent McMenamins to eat at. Certainly not on the level of Kennedy school and other more notable locations in both atmosphere and food but decent enough. Its kind of just a sad strip mall location so it doesnt have any interesting history like turning a 1900 gas station into a restaurant. The food is standard fare for them with the usual bar and grill kind of food with burgers and such. We had some burgers and nachos and everything was fine. This place is still 4 stars but I guess I just have high standards for McMenamins. Its okay though, they cant all be super awesome places.

Took forever to get order. People who came in after us got their food and left before we got ours. Not so much has an apology. Usually slow but not usually this bad. In the past I could get a gluten-free bun here, did the same but this time its bothering me. Im not celiac or whatever, I have a real wheat allergy and it isnt something I like to play around with as it can land me in the ER. Must have picked up some cross-contamination somewhere. I thought this place was safe, looks like I thought wrong. Do not recommend for anybody.

Ive lived in Sherwood for 16 years and I used to enjoy McMenamins here in town. It was a great place to meet after work or just to do a meet-up with local friends. Not so much these days. The fries I once felt were the main attraction are now greasy and limp. The menu has also changed and is not as complete it seems. What has remained the same is their beer but going there for a Hammerhead just isnt worth my time anymore. I really wish this wasnt the case, but its just not the same place I once enjoyed.

What a wonderful mix of, "We couldnt care less!" and, "This probably wont kill em so serve it to them!" Its so nice to take one of the few nights parents get away from the kids to be treated like Harry Potter before he realized he was a wizard. Food was not fully cooked and the bill was so messed up it took a DNA test to determine its true identity. If private toilet time and disappointment are your faves totally hit this spot up!!!

My wife and I dined here on Saturday and were promptly greeted at the entrance, then directed to, "Sit where you like". Within a minute or so we had menus, ordered drinks and started to browse the food choices. Our waitress was quite prompt and helpful in explaining the food options. Weve dined at three other McMenamins in the area, and will certainly enjoy going back to this one in Sherwood.

Besides the quick seating (seat yourself) and the drinks that came out right away, we waited 30 minutes for a burger and a tuna sandwich that never showed before we walked out and just paid for our drinks. We had 2 families come in at least 5-10 minutes after us and when we walked out they were already half way through their meal. By far the worst service Ive ever had.

Sherwood is one of McMenamins pubs that resides in a strip mall. The food and beer are McMemamins dependable. The service is ok, and I really like the central bar. Pretty typical experience for a McMenamins in a strip mall. They also have outside sidewalk seating that is pet friendly. A very dependable stop if your in the Sherwood area and want a bite/pint.

Hard to find a clean table when entering. We were here for the last stamp on our passport for that group.. They didnt have the prizes. Let us know we could go to another restaurant to claim them. Unfortunately that is why we were there. So just dessert and cocktails. I had to ask for a napkin with my dessert. Wont come back.

Absolutely love coming here. Always friendly staff and DELISH food. Never disappoint. The only reason I didnt give this location a 5/5 is because sometimes the staff can be a little slow on waiting the table even when its not that busy. P.S. try the purple haze if you havent already, no regrets ;)

Got there at 6 for dinner on a Friday and they were slammed. Appetizers came out quickly, mains took a while but the server had wisely warned us when we sat down that everyone showed up at once and food would take more time than usual. Food was excellent as was the service.

Great beers but the mini cheeseburger isnt worth 5 bucks regular bacon cheeseburger was 10.80 and big and with tots. Not worth the happy hour food Avoid this place

Service is slow 75% of the time, and the menu is kind of lacking in variety. For a brewer, it only ever offers one or two good beer choices over the course of a year.

Simple orders of burgers and fries took an hour to get to our table. The food looked and tasted like it had been cooked 8 hours earlier and stored on a warming table.

Everything about this McMenamins location was "perfectly fine." I wouldnt say that it did anything particularly excellent, but nothing was bad at all.

Terrible service! Plan to spend at least 60-90 minutes for a quick burger and fries. The food quality is inconsistent at best.

Great service. Greeted promptly. Just stopped in to get a growler and both people I talked to were very friendly and helpful.
