They very best Portland has to offer and would be right up there with some of the best Philadelphia has to offer. I lived in the Philly area and have eaten thousands (No kidding) of cheese steaks. This is a clasic Philly cheese steak,Amoroso steak roll, real american cheese, and paper thin shaved steak (If you eat this with provolone and green peppers you are from Pittsburg not Philly. The only thing served in Philly with provolone is a pizza steak). It is cooked correctly pulled (choped) apart into tiny little peices and smothered with cheese. Do not add anything to it other then fried onions if desired. Tell them no philly sauce or mayo. and you will be amazed. I drive from Beaverton once a week just to eat at this place. About the decore, it is the same as most cheese steak shops in Philly, very basic chairs, tables and a counter to order at. One thing I will add no matter how basic the place is, it is spotless, as proven when I checked the county Department of Health inspection report ... they got a 100 score. They also just made W. Weeks list of 2011 Best Restraunts. So do not pay attention to anything said here that is outside of excellent. It will be the best cheese steak in Oregon. Also check out Philly Bilmos in Vancouver, and Portland Republic of Sandwhiches (hold the pepper here) for back up plans while not as good if you live close they are okay in a pinch. Also Portland Republic of sandwhiches is open Sunday 12-4, the others are closed. Last all good cheese steaks cost between $6-$10, as it is usually 6-8oz of ribeye, or NY strip steak in a roll

This was my first experience to a cheesesteak - and I almost swore the famed sandwich off after eating it here (Ive since found redemption at a cart in Cartlandia). I went simple - meat, wiz and onions only. The meat was finely chopped - so the quality of it was covered up already, the meat was also bland, lacking any seasoning what so ever. The onions were non-existant, and the cheese whiz what exactly what I had expected. I also ordered fries with cheese - because thats a combo that always is good, right? Could be because I had it to go - but I was given a small to go container of COLD cheese whiz which didnt go well on the greasy fries. I felt a little like Joe Pesci in Lethal Weapon - because I had this order to go and was completely underwhelmed and disappointed by the meal. The best part about being there (It was 5pm on a weekend) was watching a fellow patron waltz outside and start throwing up on the sidewalk. This was before his sandwich however. I wont bother going back.

Not sure what everyone else was talking about regarding the portions and I was almost swayed by the negative reviews but the hubby really wanted to try so we went anyways. The meat was delicious and well seasoned and there was plenty of it on my regular size sandwich and hubbys large was even fuller! We both got supremes which had a lot of toppings cooked into the meat which added perfect cheesesteak flavors. As two self proclaimed fatties who are also very picky about where we eat, we felt the portion size was more than enough! We also tried the fries which were fresh, hot and crunchy, served in a paper cup with lots of overflow in the bag we could have done with only one order to share. We would totally go again and recommend it to people who support local business and would rather spend their money there than a chain.

People who live out Oregon may say this is not a Phillys Genos steak or Pats steak but truth of the matter is that Steakadelphias steak is better.. Genos and Pats is more like a tourist attraction because of the location and bright lights not because how good their steaks are.. I live in the Philadelphia region and can tell you Steakadelphia steak is great and reminds me of a true steak that you will get from different areas of Philly and I grantee if you took a taste test between Steakdelphia, Pats and Genos you would chose Steakadelphia without hesitation.. Keep up the good work and work on better fries to compliment your steaks

Their steaks are fantastic, well made, and come with plenty of free toppings of your choice. They make some of the best Phillys on the west coast, and Ive been to many shops across not only OR, but WA, CA, and NV. They also offer handmade burgers, fries, and a few other meals. They serve a variety of canned and bottle beer, and soda. Their prices arent the cheapest, but that is because you get good quality food. Expect to wait 10-15 minutes for your order to be called, they make everything fresh and on-the-spot. Their shop is small and can get crowded during lunch or dinner times, but I definitely encourage you to give them a try!

Tried their basic philly cheesesteak on Saturday night. I was a little surprised that the place was so barren but the food was really good. No one seemed to be sitting down to eat, everyone was taking their food to go so I didnt feel comfortable staying and eating there. There were plenty of bare bones tables and two tvs with a basketball game playing but it seemed weird to eat there. Very happy with the large cheesesteak. Good flavor, lots of meat, excellent bread. I was sorry I didnt order the fries and Id really like to have tried the hamburgers. Would eat here again in a heartbeat.

What do you like about it? Share a tip.I make my own cheesesteak that is pretty awesome if i do say so. . . pretty hard to top home-made. This place was Ok. Id go back, but I grabbed a to go menu so I can call ahead next time. The cashier was pretty spacey, making a minimal effort to greet people without looking at them. The food was greasy but tasty. I mean the tables and floor were even coated with grease! My chair was sliding all over the place.. . gave me some entertainment while I waited forever for my sandwich. I was also a little upset that people in after me got their food before me

A really awesome moderately priced Philly can be had at Steakadelphia, as the name suggests. Not the best in Portland but on par with Park City Pub on 80th and Sandy, MCgillacuddys on NE 111th and Halsey, and Produce Row Cafe on SE Oak Street. Almost as good as the hands down best Philly in Portland at the little no-name place on 154th and Sandy Blvd known as "Phillys Here" by the locals because it has business name but only has a sandwich board for advertising that usually reads "Phillys Here."

Grew up in Philly and lived there for 25 years. They told me that they import their white american cheese and rolls from Philly (Amoroso rolls) and it tastes like it. If you dont like their cheesesteaks you dont like a philly cheesesteak. If you grew up eating philly style white american cheese and amoroso rolls youll love this place like I do. If you grew up somewhere else then you may love it or you may not totally get it like some of these other people who are reviewing Steakadelphia.

I have been coming here for years. Normally the poor attitude of. The cashier is mitigated by the delicious sandwich. The last few times I have come here, it has not. On top of the high cost, they frequently have 30-45 minute wait times, and they apparently cant get orders correct anymore. $30 order completely wrong and disgusting. I am not sure if they were lazy and did not clean grill and I got parts of other sandwiches or not. Save yourself some cash and get a sandwich somewhere else.
