I dont have a sweet tooth, but my family does. I decided to treat them to Ruby Jewels renowned made-to-order ice cream sandwiches. We absolutely inhaled them in less than 5 minutes. They were delicious. It starts with the novelty of creating your own ice cream sandwiches ($4 each). Pick any two cookies and a huge scoop of ice cream (sorbet, in my case). I had a sandwich with one lemon cookie, one double chocolate cookie, with raspberry lemonade sorbet in the middle. The cookies they used were perfect. Crunchy, yet chewy. When you take a bite, the whole cookie doesnt shatter. You get the crunch but the cookies stay intact. That mustve taken a lot of testing to get them to the right texture. I am a raspberry-oholic. My family knew no matter what I sampled off their menu, that I was going to get the raspberry lemonade sorbet. It was delicious with the right balance of sweetness and tartness. The lemon flavor didnt override my beloved raspberry. However, sorbets arent as dense as their creamy ice cream counterparts. So, beware that the sorbet will get smushed with each bite. This is not Ruby Jewels fault as that is just food physics. My wife and kids all had ice cream in their sandwiches and I did notice that their sandwiches were not getting smushed. The wife had their caramel with salted dark chocolate with double chocolate cookies. My son has a peach pie/ chocolate chip cookie sandwich. My other son had a chocolate ice cream with double chocolate cookie sandwich. Like I said earlier, they finished them all in less than 5 minutes. They loved every bite. $4 is a bit pricey. I almost took off a star. However lets say you pay $1-$2 for a generic good humor ice cream sandwich. Is this 2-4 times better? You bet it is! (Actually its like 1 million times better than any generic ice cream sandwich, so there.) I am sure there are other places with great ice cream, but Ruby Jewels Ice Cream sandwiches make them stand alone. Perfect cookies with tasty homemade ice cream. Go to Mississippi Ave and save room for dessert!

Took forever!! Staff is friendly but incompetent, and spilled several things just while I was waiting. They also have an absurd policy when it comes to groups. Hard to even explain since it makes so little sense, but apparently if you are part of a larger group paying separately they just serve the people behind you in line first, while a single person handles your entire group. When I finally did get my Milkshake it had a ton of chunks in it... Could have used a bit more time in the blender. Would seek an alternative next time Im in town.

If you love ice cream as much as me, Ruby Jewel is the place for great ice cream treats. I just had my first trip there last night. Absolutely amazing! A friend recommended the ice cream sandwich (one of my personal favorites) with Carmel ice cream with salted dark chocolate, in between two double chocolate cookies! I added rainbow sprinkled too (which are free on Friday). Best ice cream sandwich I have ever had! I will be going back for more deliciousness from this great ice cream shop!

Holy smokes, you wont want to leave. The ice cream the serve up is nothing short of amazing. They have all the traditional flavors as well as some more creative ones. Their double chocolate is definitely something to check out for chocoholics. Scoops they offer are generous and the toppings and cones are made in house. The shop is spacious but doesnt offer a lot of seating so youll most likely be eating on the go so watch out for all the jealous stares youll be receiving.

Delicious, with flavors that were not merely novel, but actually good. They had honey lavendar ice cream, and while Im not usually one to think of pink flowers as edible, the flavor was perfectly balanced between sweet and aromatic/florid. I found the mint in the mint chip to be a little overwhelming after just a few bites, but the salt and dark chocolate was delicious through-and-through. The lemon cookies are to die for-- I recommend crafting your own cookie sandwich.

I love this place! The staff is super friendly and happy to let you sample. Their rotating flavors are unique without being quite as.... creative... as Salt N Straw. You can do a split single scoop (recommended, as a double scoop is pretty massive) to get more goodness in one cone. The ice cream sandwiches are also delicious. Make your own to mix cookie flavors and ice cream in any way you like! Just be warned, these things are bigger than they look -- go hungry!

I am from out of town and this was my first time trying Ruby Jewel Scoops. I went to the shop on N Mississippi Ave and was instantly greeted with great customer service. A younger gentleman named Ben was the one who helped me and he was very polite and friendly. He suggested many different flavors to try but I decided to go with the caramel salted chocolate and it was delicious! The customer service and ice cream are both 10 out of 10.

It is hard to walk past this place and not get sucked into the store by the smell of the fresh waffle cones being made. So, when you are lured inside by the waffles, buy one of their amazing ice cream sandwiches. I wish the cookies where fresh (they are not) but Ruby Jewel ice cream is FANTASTIC. For $5, you can create a sandwich to share with your favorite somebody ;)

Even though dairy typically gives me angry stomach, this ice cream is totally worth the havoc that it reeks on my body. They have rotating ice creams that I love to try. My favorite has been banana chocolate walnut. I really enjoy getting the ice cream sandwich. Be sure to ask for the ginger cookies for your ice cream sandwich if you dont see them on the menu.

The best. Creative flavors youve never had, and never will again, unless you return for more. Friendly and helpful staff that will let you sample your icecream to figure out what flavors you want to buy. Cant say enough good stuff. This place has been covered by a few food channel network shows for best in the country. They are correct.

We got lavender honey ice cream in a cone and my son clearly loved it. We also got an ice cream cookie sandwich (chocolate chip cookies with coffee toffee ice cream) and it was out of this world!!! The vibe is inviting and family oriented. The music was great as well. It is a must see in the Mississippi neighborhood.

A towering single scoop (more like scoop-and-a-half!) of honey lavender ice cream is enough for me plus a few tastes to share with my family. Press it between two lemon cookies and you have ice cream sandwich heaven. Ruby Jewel has pleasing flavors dialed in. Go here for novel AND delicious ice cream for the whole family.

They have the best specialty flavor ice cream Ive ever tasted here. I came with my wife and ordered four scoops of four different flavors and every one was better than anything Id ever tasted from [redacted ice cream chain.] I think that my favorite is salted caramel, but theres so many more flavors I have to try.
