Its the type of food that makes you question your priorities in life. Their fried chicken is pretty good, but nothing about it really stood out to me. Deep fried, almost as much breaded stuff as there is chicken, soaking wet/dripping in grease, very crispy. Their potato wedges were very good, had a taste I wasnt expecting. So that gets a plus for being unique, but again, they are deep-fried and glistening with grease. There are meals that can provide you energy and nutrition, and meals that make you want to take a nap. I think this falls in the latter category. You know that, once you finish this meal, you will be wondering why you ate the whole thing as you write your will, because once you go to the bathroom, you are going to get absolutely killed. Online, their menu states that a 2-piece box is $7.95, 3-piece $8.95. They had a menu on the wall as well that stated the same thing. So I was confused that I was charged $8.45, which is neither. Maybe they raised their prices recently. Oh well, Im not going back there anytime soon. Its "good" but not great, and Im really not a huge fan of fried chicken anyways. But if thats your thing, give it a try.

Its ok. not good not great ok. So i had a togo menu and was ordering their prices are WAY HIGHER then their togo order that i just got a month ago. charged $12 for a burger and $10 for a small plain burger. they do not add enough seasoning. the chicken strips are saltless and when i asked for a side of sauce they charged me $2 per 4 oz sauce. ????????????? like really thats ridiculous considering it is not homemade. Overall the food is ok, anyone can make it and it taste the same. The person who took the order could have been a little nicer as well. will i go back, probably when i am lazy and dont want to cook, will it be a frequent visit, absolutely not!

Is this a restaurant that doesnt serve food?, I wondeed following the iterminable wait for service followed by the interminable wait for the famous fried chicken. After 80 minutes the chicken arrived. It was an expertly fried half of bird accompanied by gargantuan jojos. Everything was crying out for some manner of reasoning; a bland carb attack. The crowd was warm, and the service decent. Not a bad place to drink, so long as you are willing to wait for the time it takes to watch a movie feature to get your grub. Overall, as a place that only does one thing, Fryer Tuck needs to work on its alacrity and pizzazz.

The Fryer Tuck seems so unorganized. I was asked to come at a certain time for my to-do order, only to wait another 10 minutes because it was written down wrong. No a huge deal. We scored extra food because the cooks misinterpreted what the person taking the order wrote down. The last time we ordered to go (some time ago) our order was missing stuff..which we didnt find out until we were home. Love the food, but the fried stuff needs salt.

This place advertised its fried chicken but the chicken wasnt very good. The breading was thick and the frying was done well, but it just lacked flavor. The fries werent crispy but were heavily fried too. I wanted to like this place because its the perfect formula for me, but I couldnt. Please spice up the chicken. The service is good and theres easy parking. The place is going for the dive bar vibe and it works for them.

Went yesterday. Hadnt been there in a while. The Little John Spuds and dip were bland and unseasoned. You could tell that the frying oil hadnt been changed in a while. I remember when Fryer Tucks came to Portland in the late 1960s. A full order of Spuds cost 45 cents and dip was a quarter. Flavorful and always cooked hot to order, and tasted fresh. Unfortunately, FTs is a shadow of its former self.

A bar and a chicken place that neatly compliment each other. The chicken is local and tastes amazing. Bar is laden with country-kitsch, but not ironically and not to the point of being tacky. This place is the antithesis of a hipster bar. The effect is similar to walking into a nice bar in the flyover states: comfortable, simple, and welcoming.

Great fried chicken take-out. If you need a fried chicken fix and dont feel like going far, this is your dealer. Warning. If you order fries you will receive a giant mound larger than your head. And you will not be sad about it. Usually takes about 20 minutes from your order, so plan accordingly.

The batter used for the chicken was really light and crispy. However though the garlic fries were a heaping amount, it didnt help that the cuts were far too large, giving it kind of a mashed potatoes texture on the inside of the fries. The dill dip that came with the chicken was fantastic.

All the bar staff and cooks are great. If you want their fried chicken on busy nights, dont get all antsy in the pantsy. Call at least an hour ahead. Yes they get so many orders they are busy non stop. Mercedes, Anette are the best bar tenders ever! The rest are awesome too

Having only dealt with the bar staff over the phone this seems like a very hospitable establishment. Its also one of the most frequented bars of my passengers(As a cab driver). But they seem to like it a lot. Ive heard they have really good chicken and potato wedges.

Pleasant ambiance and outstanding lunchtime service. Completely underwhelmed with the buffalo wings and fries plate. I was hoping for some chicken expertise. Next time Ill try the broiled chicken... But I dont think my co-workers will ever come back.

Decent food. Charged me almost $4 for the smallest cup of coleslaw Ive ever seen and I have never forgiven you them. Hopefully that has changed. (also Im a reasonable guy, and I dont normally get mad about that kind of thing, but it was THAT ridiculous).

Friendliest bar in Portland... and Im glad the staff keep it that way. The chicken is really good, the crowd is usually super friendly and a great place to see smiling faces. This is a good place to meet up and see folks from the neighborhood.

Ghetto bar setting, the waitress was the only thing that made it two stars. The food was gross. Overrated chicken, greasy to the max. It was highly recommended but once was more than enough. I could have had better chicken at Popeyes Chicken.

Their chicken is amazing! The bar is fun too though, had my birthday there last week and it was a blast. They had live music, pool table, friendly staff and a fire pit out back. Dont know what more you could ask for :)

Ive been here once and the chicken was awful, wont go back. The chicken was over fried, the large steak style potatoes were awful as well. The only thing that was good were the cheap drinks.

The food is delicious. The fries are still amazing and the chicken is juicy. The breading is full of flavor and the portions are gigantic. Great patio for lovely days and its smoker friendly.
