Some great..... some not. The great: Minestrone soup is amazing, Caesar salad was outstanding, steamer clams are really good. The not great: The focaccia bread with the clams was dry and uninspiring. The brie was terrible. It doesnt taste like traditional brie cheese. It comes in smaller wheels than usual and just doesnt taste like brie. It has a very thin skin and no flavor. The apples that come with it were old/brown, the sausage was refrigerator cold and had no taste (maybe would be good if it were warm?). Our server was terrible. She asked us if we wanted desert before our food arrived and left us without silverware two different times. Also, really long waits for drink refills and just general attention. For example, we never even got the usual run by asking if everything is alright after the food was delivered (or we would have certainly sent her back with the brie). She seemed to have a group of tables in the back of the restaurant and was also helping people at the bar so maybe this is more of a planning/management issue? When picking up our plates (including 95% of the brie) my wife mentioned how unhappy we were with the brie. When the check arrived and it was on there my wife questioned it and we were told, "unless there is something wrong with it I cant take it off the bill." Huh? We just told you it was terrible. I waited tables for 15+ years and honestly think the whole "take it off the bill" thing is very unfair for restaurants. If I had just gotten a little more questioning or compassion about what exactly was wrong I never would have bothered to write this review. You have to at least pretend to care. fwiw, my points of contact with all staff members other than our server were great and all of my previous visits here have been great.

On Sat. March 30th 2013, our family went to Mia Famiglia to celebrate my daughters 23rd birthday! I had called and made a reservation for "10" the previous week; but when we arrived that reservation wasnt able to be found...What to do?, well thank you so much to Travis, who was acting manager that evening. When I spoke directly to him about our predicament, he said hed make it right, and make it right, he did! The restaurant was busy, but we still only waited a few minutes (& it was lovely outside, so we didnt mind) and they put together a table for our party; AND he sent over a couple appetizers on the house for any inconvenience wed experienced! Travis was professional, and did exactly what he said he would do! If you havent tried this restaurant yet, I suggest you do, as they have great service and very good food; and wonderful people working there like Travis!!! Thank you Travis, you are a gem.

Decent pizza. I was hoping that it would be better but it wasnt. The service is okay, the pizzas are okay with okay selections. The drinks are good not great. Now, the pizza, was it good? Yes. Was it great? No. For a 12" inch pizza? Why would you want to go to a pizza joint and order personal pizzas? How about a family size like 18" and have it a little more. I would pay that. But if you have a family of 5 with 3 kids, they arent going to eat all of that themselves. A 4 year old isnt going to want a 12" but he may not want the kids menu of cheese or pep either. The best item I believe on the menu is the calzone. Big and filled with goodness. Basically a pizza folded in half and baked. At least I feel like Im getting my moneys worth.

They have an open kitchen so you can see them prepare their pizzas and put then into a wood burning oven. I usually order a side salad with my meal. The spinach salad is just great, I havent tried the others. You can order a gluten free crust, but I found their normal thin crust to be wonderful. It can get crowded between 5-8:00pm on Fri & Sat. So there may be a wait to be seated... A pizza runs around $10.00 and its enough for two adults. If you are looking for a Pizza Hut or Papa Murphys pizza this is *not* the place. This is the best gourmet pizza Ive had in Portland. Service isnt always fast, but its good, and the people are nice. Great place. One of my favorites. Enjoy!

So slow!!!! I was with my toddler (2 people) and we had to wait for 50 minutes after we ordered to get our food. When I asked our waiter, his answer was "there are some delays in the kitchen". Helpful? The least they could have done was to offer us some bread while we waited. Once we received the food, it was good (thats the only reason I didnt rate this place as 1 star). However, I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody. This is supposed to be a "family style" restaurant. they should at a minimum be able to expedite kids food especially if they make their guest wait for so long.

Awesome Pizza! Fresh ingredients are always used. If you like thin crust wood fired pizza this is the place to check out! I personally like the Holy Trinity. Their pizzas are the size of a medium at other pizza places. Also the Grammys Walnut Pie is really really tasty if you like walnuts! Family run business with mom and her sons running it. My favorite pizza place in the Portland area by far! The service is okay, not the fastest, but the food is worth the wait in my opinion.

Probably the best tasting food in town! Food has been amazing everytime and Ive ordered a variety of things. The only cons are that its always packed and you have to wait for you food for quite awhile usually. Also, the tables are super close together and every time I go I get stuck talking to some nosey person sitting next to me.... Maybe some people go out to dinner to make friends but not me! Anyways, the food is amazing and definitely worth it.

OMGoodness! This is the most wonderful place I have been in ages! The staff is completely awesome and the food was prepared to absolutely, strict (my girlfriend insisted), perfect standards was nothing short of amazing and presented in an incredibly beautiful display. Absolutely 5 star quality. I look forward to many more nights with Cindi and I assure you many of those will begin at this establishment!!!! Magnifique!

Ya this place isnt huge, but it is the small homey atmosphere in which I love. Sometimes the service is slow but it has always been pleasant. The food is AMAZING - everything is homemade and you can taste the freshness. One semi-negative thing I can say, its minestrone isnt as good as it used to be. Something is off. Just sayin. The spinach-artichoke dip is to die for! We get that pretty regularly to-go.

Horrible customer service. I attempted to place an order to be picked up, as I work on Main Street as well and can just walk down the block to get it. The woman I spoke with was extremely rude and told me "it wasnt a good time" to place a to go order. I said when should I call back and was told she had no idea when she would be able to help me. Hostile and unprofessional. Hugely un-recommended.
