My wife and I wanted a nice Mexican meal at the Milwaukie location. Instead, there was some sort of photography/art show going on during operating ours. We ordered our food and a margarita for myself. Payment for the experience is taken care of before seating, so the tip is paid before ones dining experience. The margarita was extremely sour and had a sugar rim instead of salt. When we asked if we could have some water while already sitting down, the employee pointed across the restaurant to a water cooler and said we would have to get it ourselves. Meanwhile, the photographer for the "event" was taking pictures of the art displayed, people attending the event and consequently my wife and I eating. After our food was delivered to our table, we had to pay via debit card $2.00 for chips and salsa to go with our meal. Some art admirers thought the piece displayed above our table needed to be closely observed and analyzed. I dont know if these people like having another couple standing at their table while they are eating, but my wife and I were very perturbed by this. I sucked down my "margarita" as quickly as I could manage, and we walked out of the restaurant still chewing our last bite of food. Had I known that we would be treated like more of a hassle than a paying guest, I would not have tipped at all or even paid for the uncomfortable and awkward experience. I like the food, but it will be difficult to give the establishment another chance.

Not great. The ordering process is confusing dont know if youre supposed go to the counter or down at a table. The employees that work there are not friendly or helpful youre barely recognized if you walk in. The food was bland and flavorless lacked any spice that you expect from the Mexican cuisine yet I dont understand why there are so many people there with such mediocre food. I ordered the fajitas and they were very hot but they had almost 0 spice or flavor my wife order the pork tacos and they had three huge chunks of fat in them that nobody would want to eat the chips were kind of blah and the guacamole tasted terrible had a huge chunk of an avocado that you couldnt even cut through with a knife. I wanted to like this place because its here in Milwaukee Im a resident I wanted to support local businesses but its just not a great restaurant. it looks nice inside but the waitstaff is not very good at their jobs and the food kind of sucks. This is a note for everybody trying to figure out whether not they should go to his place if youre looking at reviews. Dont give as much weight to the five star and one star reviews its the 2, 3 and four stars that really tell you the story.

We had been putting off trying this place for various reasons, one of them being other reviews. But we finally tried it and were pleasantly surprised. Got there for the daily 3 to 6pm happy hour with $3 food and $3 drinks (from a happy hour menu). We tried three dishes and had the hand shaken margarita. For happy hour food, its really good. Definitely get your moneys worth. Not sure I would pay the normal menu prices for it, though. But we will definitely go there again for happy hour. Service is good, they really work hard. For example, one of the dishes I ordered ran out before we got it, so they offered us a choice of anything on their whole menu to replace it. Beer selection is good for a small place like this. The standard bottled mexican beers, including Tecate and Modelo, plus 2 good microbrews on draft.

This place used to be my go to spot. We went in to eat last night and spent just under 50 bucks for a pretty disappointing small nacho, chimichanga a enchilada and 3 soft drinks. They overcharged us on everything even when I pointed it out to them then they had the audacity to charge another dollar for a tiny side of sour cream. The house hot sauce used to be very good and now its just overly spicy and lacks all the flavor profile it used to have. I am very disappointed in the experience and as a local and long time fan will not be returning. I really feel they are taking advantage of their once stellar reputation for good food at reasonable prices. Too bad in my opinion

Today my daughter and me went to this place for the first time. It took forever for them to serve us and they gave my little one burn beans in her burrito and it tasted awful. I requested a replacement of the burrito and they took forever again and gave her again the same bad burn beans. My little one was starving so we left because they were also more attentive to American than me a Latina. I dont write reviews but their service and food was awful that I decided to take my time and write a review for a really poor quality of service and food. First and last time I go to this place. I dont recommended to anyone.

I have always loved Cha Cha Cha since I ate their taqueria truck style tacos at their first location as a kid. I have never been disappointed by the tacos since visiting any of their new locations, and Milwaukee is no exception. I had a delicious Pacifico con lima on draft with two tacos and plate of happy hour nachos to share. The nachos came with too many refried beans but truth be told I was already full by then off my awesome fish and lengua tacos. Great atmosphere, came during the holiday season and there was a tree with lights and presents on display. Would always recommend Cha Cha Cha and their tacos!

awful...I had ordered the veggie burrito with mole. Half way through I find chicken in the middle, I eat from the long side. When I brought it to the attention of the owner, her response was "looks like you ate part of it" and I told her yes, until I found the chicken. She did not apologize or offer a reimbursement, which wasnt what I was asking for. An apology would have been nice, though. I wanted her to be aware that some vegetarians are not as flexible as I am. I left the rest on the plate, left the plate on the counter and will never go back.

Every time Ive visited this location Ive had a great experience. The owner is almost always there, and constantly makes sure everything is correct and running efficiently, I have huge respect for her doing so, as a cook myself I know first hand that if the owner is working just as hard as you are its a huge morale boost. So kudos to you on that. The food is always amazing, I recommend the Cha Enchiladas (I believe thats what theyre called) Always a pleasure eating here, I wish all restaurants were as warm, caring, and friendly. Thanks!

I absolutely love the food and service! It was a little confusing on whether or not you sit and wait for a server or go up to the counter, but I watched other people walk in to see what they did. You simply go up to the counter, order your food off the chalkboard or laminated menu, pay, and sit down until your delicious food arrives. They also have cactus slices which are super nutritious. My favorites are pollo tacos and tortilla soup, but I try to get something new every time. This is one of my favorite restaurants.
