So In the realm of mid-grade sushi joints this place is awesome all around. If youre looking for quality sushi/bento and a varity of other great Japanese dishes, this is the spot that wont break your bank. We love this place and havent touched those scary track-themed, discounted colored plate places since. Trust your raw fish and spend a few more bucks on quality. I recommend the bento with sesame chicken and their tempura, its so dang good! We love the staff, ambiance and the great service.

I poured out some soy sauce and unwittingly also poured out some bugs! Not a bug, mind you, which could be chalked up to being very unlucky. There were MULTIPLE bugs! I then showed the staff, and their reaction was to simply get me a new plate without comment. They didnt make any move to replace the soy sauce bottle until I forced them to take it. I guess theyre used to it, based on how many flies are flying around. So gross! Dont eat here!

Good Food Poor Service I visited this place for the 1st time and was a quick look at the menu by the ordering station, the lady who was at the station was like if youre not ready theres a Menu by the table/sit down station and just walked away No welcomes or offered to help, I had to do my own research on the menu to find whats good and order, I would give 5 Stars if the staff is more attentive and friendly

Ive never been to a sushi place that does not serve alcohol! After reading all of the good reviews, we had our hearts set on this place. We were very disappointed.. the food was good but not fantastic and without sake to go with it, was in the so-so category. However, the place was spotless, including the bathroom and that goes a long way! It is also closed on Sundays.

I have eaten sushi from this restaurant many times (mostly take out) and i have yet to find better sushi in Hillsboro, and the people working there are always EXTREMELY friendly and seem to really love their work. Makes for a great atmosphere and experience. I wish they were not quite as expensive, but no complaints otherwise.

Food was alright, service left much to be desired. Everything took an incredible amount of time and we even saw a couple waiting to be seated (when it was not at all busy and plenty of tables open) leave after about ten or so minutes not being addressed. Make sure you have some time to kill.

The outside is very plain. The inside is like walking into Japan and is totally authentic sushi. The selection was great, the taste was awesome. It was even affordable. It was exactly what a sushi restaurant should be. Do not let the modest outer appearance cause you to go elsewhere.

Another nice sushi restaurant on the west side. Ive eaten here a few times and while the food is good and service has been adequate, the prices tend to be on the high side for the overall experience. There are better restaurants for around the same price which are better.

When I think of Sushi, this is the place to get it. The product is as fresh as it gets. The Owners are very personable and helpful. Atmosphere is elegantly subtle. The price will not break your wallet. And the service is fast. Do yourself a favor and try it.

Ive been coming here 11 years and have never been unsatisfied... Also they have the best California roll youll ever have. And if you dont like fish they have really good boulgolgi (beef) also the service is good and the staff is really nice.

I love this place! Im here on work and I am addicted to their sushi! The Nebraska roll is wonderful as well as all the classic rolls. The staff is wonderful, very attentive. I dont have a single negative thing to say about this place.

New ownership since Dec 2016. The servers are much more friendly, the sushi fresher and more artistically presented. A++ We liked Sushi Maki before, and its even better now. The Snowball roll and shrimp tempura were amazing.

Love Japaneses foods... nice place for nice dinner with wife... food is great, price is reasonable for Japanese restaurant... just order from the menu, have not tried the sushi bar, but seem like very PRO and look good.

They have a bunch of different kinds of sushi, but I like to get their non-sushi items too, like the Sizzling Spicy Chicken or Katsu Donburi. Also, the New Hampshire roll has bacon and tamago in it, and its great.

Simply the best. My family travels 40 miles to see this family and eat their food. Hands down the best sushi around. If your local your lucky. If your not we recommend the drive. Its worth it. 5 stars all the way.

To go order placed at 1120. Service was polite and quick. Food ready at 1132. Sizzling steak and oregon roll. Prelunch rush.... Have eaten here number of times. Food always good so far.

A hidden gem. Nice and clean, amazing staff, amazing food. The sushi is a bit spendy for lunch ($20/person), but the bento boxes and other combos are much cheaper at around $10-15.

This is the best sushi in hillsboro, I prefer it even to my other favorite Syun Izakaya; the next closest incredible sushi is Bamboo in portland.
