Japanese pastries are so good and this place has them nailed perfectly! I have tried their melon pan and curry pan and both were perfect and as I remember them from my trip to Japan. The bread they have for sale is so soft and looks really good too, thought I havent bought a loaf yet. The staff is very friendly and the presentation of the food and layout is very appealing. The only thing I can think of to improve is the variety of offerings. Maybe rotate some daily specials or have some more savory vs sweet pastries. Edit: since first writing this review they have started offering more savory pastries (ham and cheese croissants, hot dog buns, etc). They also started selling sandwiches like katsu, ham, and the famous egg salad. All crustless as you remember them in Japan :). They also sell.cream puffs now too a la Beard Papas.

My husband and I have traveled to Japan many times and were excited to hear of this bakers opening. The bakery is open and airy with lots of light. As in Japan, when you come in you grab a tray and tongs and put your choices on the tray. Hiro, the owner takes a lot of pride in his offerings. The matcha pan are very good as are the fruit tarts. I enjoyed the chocolate chip pan (a blend of Japan and America). As in Japan, the tastes are delicate not over sweet. Coffee and tea are available. They also.sell bread We enjoyed the boul we bought. We go here at least twice a month.

I lived in Japan for two years, and the moment I walked into Oyatsupan I was hit with a wave of nostalgia. I can not state enough that this place is an authentic Japanese bakery. They have a wonderful variety of traditional western pastries (i.e. chocolate croissants) and pastries with a Japanese spin (i..e. green tea pan). Some pastries may seem a little bizarre to the uninitiated at first glance, like the curry doughnut (essentially a doughnut filled with Japanese Curry), but if youre looking for an authentic experience, go for it!

Wonderful! I wish Oyatsupan wasnt such a far drive from me. Id go there everyday. Went for the first time yesterday. I got: the red bean pastry, the hot dog roll, the chocolate pan, and the chocolate croissant. The chocolate pan was to die for! OMG. It was the perfect texture, the perfect lightness, the correct amount of chocolate, the correct sweetness. If you are going there get the chocolate pan. It looks like it would be a dense cookie, but its a wonder light bread. Whenever Im in the Beaverton area Ill be stopping by.

This is what Ive been looking for! I lived in Japan for a year and have sorely missed Japanese bakeries. Nostalgic would be the word I would use. From the self-service style to the crusty, but chewy sea salt croissant, everything reminded me of m time in Japan. I was hoping to find Melon Pan, but was disappointed to not find it there. I did arrive at 3pm on Saturday, so I wasnt too surprised by its absence. Without a doubt, if you are looking for a Japanese bakery, make your way here.

Finally an Asian bakery that reminds me of the greatness of Paris Baguette/Tous Les Jours/85C bakeries that I miss so much! I drove all the way out from SE for Oyatsupan, and I was pleased at the variety of breads available, as well as with the bright and clean interior design and super friendly staff. This is the type of bakery that you can spend some time chilling at with a good book and a latte.

Curry donuts may sound strange but I tell you - add a creme puff or a green tea pastry and you have my favorite lunch. We started going there soon after they first opened and have been hooked ever since. I even brought a dozen creme puffs to my oncologists office as a treat for all. They are always polite, fast, clean and friendly as well. Worth your time!

Holy smokes: an honest-to-goodness Japanese bakery within easy distance from Nike HQ and the sizeable tracts of good housing nearby! Those whove never experienced Japans devotion to fresh, flavorful baking for both entrees and desserts are in for a massive treat. Overcome your trepidation and have their curry donut -- its sublime!

Yes, the pastries are amazing and there is a wonderful selection! Cant go wrong, so fresh and so fluffy. What I love most though, is their Tonkatsu sandwich. SO good -- fluffy bread paired with freshly fried tonkatsu thats crisp on the outside and so tender on the inside. Service is always friendly too! Highly recommend.

Wonderful little bakery. They have many of the classic pastries you will see in Japanese Bakeries. I lived in Japan for about a year and a half and they have the flavors perfect. The food will not be as sweet as American pastries/breakfast foods, but I think it allows the flavors to come out more.

Absolutely fantastic, authentic Japanese bakery experience. The staff is wonderful and attentive, and the food is amazing. Ever have a savory doughnut? Try the curry-pan! Want a sweet? After you get one here, youll never even think of Voodoo again, unless a transplant is asking for directions.

I found this place today randomly, and I was so pleasantly surprised! Im a huge fan of Japanese baked goods, and the only really good place I had gotten something similar that I really liked was from Yummy House Bakery in Seattle. Oyatsupan is even better, and MUCH closer. Im in love.

Cozy, clean enviornment and their bread is always interesting. The price is higher than it should be depending on what type you get but the loaf breads are a steal. Everything is definitely a must try. I have never had a bread I regretted. They do taste like the bread shops in Japan.

Amazingly good, authentic Japanese pastries and that familiar, fluffy white bread you find in bakeries there. Went this morning and already plotting my return trip! If this place were downtown, thered be a line out the door... luckily for us, its got that suburban obscurity. Yum!

Ive been there several times. The bread is always fresh and delicious, the staff polite and courteous. Its nice having a Japanese bakery around! Will definitely visit on a regular basis. I recommend the melon pan, curry bread, Danish cheese bread, and the sea salt butter rolls.

Only been here once but they have a great selection of food pastries and drink options. I had one savory curry pastry and one apple cinnamon pastry and both were delicious. Its perfect for a quick lunch. Looking forward to trying more things here.

Very crisp & clean inside, super friendly, strong coffee, and delicious pastries, highly recommend! If its your first time, the pasties are in the open bins on the right, just grab a tray and load it up(this wasnt obvious to me my first time).

Legit Japanese bakery, but in Oregon. Need I say more? Stopped in here just after getting back from Japan, was impressed to find not just similarly named treats, but similar tasting and looking too. Not 100% Japan, but close enough for me.

I am Japanese and I grew up with Japanese style bread. I love this place!! Every time when my family goes to Beverton, we stop by this place and buy some bread and pastries. I recommend "Melon Pan", "Curry Pan", and "Katsu Curry Pan".

The bread here is very yummy. I usually come here every week and stock up on bread for the week, so worth the money and the price is pretty reseaonable. Im so happy they have a Asian bakery so close by, usually theyre farther away!
