TGIF Fridays on 41st street has long been one of our favorite restaurants in Tulsa (we live in Skiatook). Unfortunately, this place has taken a dive into deep water. We had a party of 22 for lunch back in December. We had called ahead of time with the number in our party. That experience was a disaster. The young waiter struggled from start to finish. He appeared to have had NO training in terms of service. It took a long while just to get drinks. It took a long while for him to take our orders. It took a long time to get our food. From the time we arrived until the time we received our food, more than an hour had passed. Unacceptable. The food was a tremendous disappointment (at best) from one end of the table to the other. The server did not come around to check for drink refills. It was just about as bad a dining experience as you could imagine. To top it off, the server struggled with settling the bills. It took way too long to get everyone tabbed out. In my case, he claimed that he had trouble getting Stripes points for our purchase. All in all, it was a horrid experience. But we are forgiving and decided to give it another try. On Monday of this week we met a couple for lunch at this same location. It was pathetic. To begin with, we asked for a large booth on the east side of the restaurant. The gentleman who seated us said that "There are already names on those booths". We made two trips to the restrooms while there and there was no one in any of those booths. Boo bad. We were lied to. The server was terrible (never offered refills on soft drinks). One of the four meals was unacceptable (steak). One in our party had to ask for half of his order which was left sitting back in the kitchen. When she brought it out, she flopped it on the table and said that it just didnt get brought out with the rest of the meal. She offered no apology, no offer of comp, and was simply flippant about the whole thing. As a result of these two outings, we will not be returning to this TGIF Fridays. This place has some SERIOUS ISSUES including horrid service and poor level of food quality. It is too bad because we have so many pleasant memories of this establishment going back many years. The servers were always so good and the food was outstanding. That is no longer the case. We would not recommend that anyone choose this restaurant for their dining experience. Randy McGoffin

Admittedly, I didnt eat much on my visit. Just split an appetizer with my date, the bacon wrapped jalapeños, which were delicious. Though to be fair, if the two main ingredients are bacon and jalapeños, its going to be hard for me not to like it. I choose to have cocktails instead. At the time, I was under the erroneous assumption that TGIF invented the Long Island Iced Tea, (hugely embarrassing given my employment history), so I went with one of their top shelf LITs. It was rather large, which to the average patron may be perceived as a good thing, but to a guy who has spend the better part of a decade behind a bar, be it as the bartender or the manager, I saw only an excess of sour mix. Was ultimately disappointed, though I know it had the appropriate amount of spirit, as I counted with the bartender. It was relatively cheap, too, at $6 for a top shelf LIT. And now that I remember the price, I take back by disappointment. On the booze, anyway. Well, kinda...sorta. Still lots of sour mix. My dates food wasnt terrible. They put her side veggies, that werent grilled nor fire roasted, in a porcelain bowl on top of her sizzling skillet, quickly warming the items when she would have preferred them to be cool. This is all being annoyingly picky, I know, but I just didnt have the best experience. Bussing and pre-bussing were also a bit of an issue, but ultimately there wasnt any one thing or incident, I just wasnt all that impressed. I wouldnt tell anyone to NOT go, but I dont think Id recommend it, either. Im sure my friend will invite me to join her there again, and Ill gladly go. Perhaps I was in a poor mood that night, or maybe the kitchen was just barely off enough to be noticeable. If so, and my next experience is better, Ill update my review accordingly. -B

This was about 2 weeks ago, wanted to make sure I had time to think but there was a miscommunication on their end with a to-go order, no biggie. We called up there wondering where was the rest of our order? I believe Scott was night time manager. We told him Id return at 10pm which he forgot or wasnt listening. When I returned, the bartender Lalo, which was friendly the first time I was there because I ordered a drink waiting on our to-go order was not friendly at all this time around and ignored me. When I asked whats going on with the order he said, "Hes coming bro." Scott comes and makes me feel like I was trying to get something for free and just wanted to state, that they made no mistakes, he is not listening to the problem but had this very condescending smile. I left because I had work to do. I decided to call up there, Scott proceeds, with a smile, yes I could see that fake smile through the phone, to say basically its not their fault, not listening. I finally realize there was just a miscommunication with the waitress that took our order and we werent charged for the item which we thought was missing, which is fine but couldve saved us time and humiliation, if someone there had listening skills instead of assuming we were trying to get something for free or its our mistake so not their problem. Even if it was our mistake, empathy goes a long way. That condescending smile didnt help matters. Wont be taking family or my employees to this place and if my employees customer service was like Scott or Lalos, Id let them go. The waitress that made the mistake, I didnt get her name because mistakes happen, no biggie.

TGIFridays is usually a favorite place for my boyfriend and I to visit but this location does not have it together. We just spent an hour and a half there during a slow time. The hostess wasnt even at the hostess booth when we walked in and we had to wait almost five minutes for her to show up. She was incredibly rude because she had to bus a table for us and the two parties of two that walked in right before us as well as the party of two that walked in after us who ended up on leaving because they didnt want to wait and they didnt care for her rude attitude towards them. She also said nothing to us when we left the restaurant and she walked around in a huff the entire time we were there and we could hear her loudly complaining. The waitress we had was very slow and kept letting our waters run out. We could hear people yelling and arguing in the kitchen. The womens bathroom looked like it hadnt been cleaned all day. There was water all over the counter and splattered on all the mirrors. It looked like the body length mirror had blood spots on it. The trash was over flowing with paper towels so much that they were scattered all over the floor. The only good thing about our visit was the food and finally getting to leave. I do not think we will return to this location.
