Disappointed. We had reservations but still had to wait. Service very spotty and aloof (spilled a cup of Miso soup on the table and despite requests for towels, we cleaned the table ourselves with the napkins on the table and adjoining tables - we got a replacement soup at no charge). This during their high serving time of about 7.30-9.00pm, service after that found its footing, while the place emptied out about 9.00pm (thats the time to go since it closes at 10pm). No better with the food. Server came twice to advise particular sushi fish was not available. Settled with specialty house rolls and typical rolls that were simply OK. Serves mostly hot Japanese food fare. If you are a sushi connoisseur, skip it. Very very reasonable priced.

The food here is pretty good for this tier of restaurant. Smaller size means no room for hibachi tables, but they cook hibachi-style in the kitchen if you want, and it always comes out good. The steak is always cooked well, as is the shrimp and chicken. The salmon hibachi is also a family favorite. The sushi is pretty decent here; I would rate it as very good. The black pepper trio is an awesome sushi roll and must be tried. The avocado and eel roll is also good and their tamago (egg) is amazing. Price is a little higher than I would like for dinner, but lunch pricing is pretty reasonable. I usually go here at least 1-2 times a month.

Food is pretty good although extremely over priced, however thats typical of this type of food. $3.25 to sub in fried rice instead of white? Thats insane. At least the food is good. Also they charge your card weird, shows up as a double charge for a few days until one goes away. So fair warning, make sure you have enough in your account for double the bill to avoid an overdraft charge. Nice atmosphere, nice food, nice service, just those few complaints. Will make sure to use cash next time for sure.

The waiter was great, the menu is not clear and should specify if things are not prepared in a traditional manner. For example, state if your asparagus sushi is breaded and deep fried please. Most menu items that are traditionally gluten free at other Japanese food restaurants are not safe to eat for gluten intolerant people here. Otherwise the menu looked great and presentation was nice.

Terrible. The service was bad and the food was worse. It took us about 25 minutes just for a server to bring us water, and this was her first time at the table! We got tea and it took forever. The sushi was horrible. It was good at first, but the after taste nearly made me vomit. It was so expensive too. It was a total waste of money.

The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is solely due to occasional slow service that I do not attribute to the cooks. My servers have been slow sometimes with drink replenishment or checking back on us and of the like. As far as drinks, average priced, but good. Food: Excellent sushi and very good appetizers.

My fiancee and I are regulars of Kasai. We typically visit for lunch but have had dinner here once or twice. I recommend the beef teriyaki lunch, its our favorite cooked medium rare! The wait staff does a great job, they are friendly and attentive. I really cant say anything bad about this restaurant!

We went here last night (Thursday) not knowing there were 1/2 price appetizers and a few 1/2 price rolls. Everything was delicious! But most of all, we have the best service! Anthon, our server, was so cheerful and helpful. I honestly havent had service that good anywhere else. We will be back!

I ve been coming here for two to four times a week for about three months. I havent had anything that i have not liked and the new bartendet/manager makes the best drinks around with his craft cocktails! Two thumbs up kasai/green!

sashimi, nigiri and sushi was so good!! the rice and cuts were so on point. staff was nice and courteous and the atmosphere was light and very refreshing. 5/5 recommend for casual sushi and drinks. I love the bartender Skip!
