I have waited to leave a review until after several experiences, I have new dined in, and ordered rapid pick-up, both several times.... I can honestly say I have not had one pleasant experience. Dining in, whether they are busy or not takes forever, and I can easily give advice to solve this problem as there are plenty of people working during these times. Have them actually working... While sitting and eating on more than one occasion I have had to listen to the staff talk/yell very loudly and obnoxiously across the dining room or to yell back at someone in the kitchen, only to hear them loudly respond. This would not have been all that bad if it was work related convo, but it was personal. All the while, one or two people are actually helping customers while taking part in the convo, the rest seem to be walking around our standing there. I am not a restaurant manager but I am a manager and whoever manages this location has no idea what they are doing. There will be a line 5 people deep, with one register open and one person taking orders but 3 employees just hanging out behind the counter. After this I decided to try rapid pick up... Food is great service sucks so I wanted to skip service... I was wrong... Tried again rapid pick up and this time they didnt include one item, I called to figure out what to do and told they were out of the item and they forgot to let me know before leaving with my order.... Not even worse part.... Then I was told that to get a refund I would need to drive back... Let me get this straight... They inconvenience me by messing up my order.... To fix it, they want to inconvenience me again by driving back to the location and then back home again. No thank you, Ill take the $5 hit. I do not like to leave bad reviews because it can so heavily impact the business but a company as large as Panera Bread needs to check into this location because it will be out of business soon without new/retrained management.

I work in the office just around the corner from this location. Been coming here for over 6 years, but recently most of the staff was changed, and since then it been a problem after problem. Sandwiches are made sloppy, the packaging around the sandwiches are nasty and cover in grease. The food its self is ruined as there is too much condiment and its overpowering the actual taste of your meal. My visits have been dwindling down to once a month now instead of twice a week. And after todays visit I think I will be going to a different location as yet again both orders were totally messed up and yet again everything was made sloppy and all over the place. September 12th 2016 Lunch: 25+ minute wait, orders for nearly each person ahead of me were wrong or missing something. Crowd was getting mad as well, Im sure many took too long of a lunch today to get carry out. Lost my business, will have to revert to Blue Ash Panera and lose 10 minutes extra on the road. WIll still be quicker. 1/24/17 Spent about 8 minutes trying to order a Ham and Swiss sandwich. Substitute swiss for white and no mayo, not a hard order...yet again an order that wasnt for me. Get back to the office, find out we got some vegetarian sandwich with nothing but bread, cheese and lettuce.... no meat, no mustard, instead of white bread it was on wheat/wholegrain... you guys made me ruin my co-workers lunch yet again. and this time lost my business all together, its a shame, but i wont recommend anyone that location ever again.

Back in the day (circa 2002) I would have made Panera Bread my top choice. You could get coffee and a bagel, sit in a clean booth by a fireplace and read a book. It was nice. I used to live by this particular location so it was common for me to spend some time there. Fast forward to now (circa 2016). This location has seen its better days. They used to lay out a sample of bread to try. Not anymore. The store itself seems like it could use a good cleaning. The floors and counters seem dirty and sticky. We went during an off-peak time yet could not find a clean table to sit by. There were newspapers strewn about by the fireplace. We had our family with us and had to go back and get three different utensils as it appears the dishwasher was having a problem. The food was OK. I remember thinking that the presentation seemed a little better in the past. I am not sure if that is a local thing or if all Panera locations have taken a step back in presentation quality. The coffee was decent but the food was pretty much average.

Its obvious the staff has changed, no more friendly cashiers, customer service is at an all time low and everyone seems to not want to be at work. I wanted my bagel toasted so that it was crunchy, and the cashier (Asia) acted as if I was bothering her. I then went to go get my coffee and I realized the time said it was 7:30 when the light roast was put out, I was there at 10 am., I asked for fresh coffee bcuz this coffee was old, once again the staff acted as if I was bothering them. I asked for a refund and the manager didnt even inquire why I wanted a refund, she just asked me to slide my card and told me it will go back on my card. I will not return to this Panera because its obvious they dont care about the customer. Corporate needs to invest some time in training and developing these employees. They need several classes in soft skills because they dont know the meaning of customer service.

Confession: I am not a huge Panera fan, but I have to tell you, this place took me from "not a fan" to "I hate Panera." When I lived in Sherman (in 2010), I used to visit Panera occasionally with my wife. Ive never had a sandwich that I liked there, and one time I decided to try the French Onion Soup. After all, how can you mess that up? Well.... I dont know HOW you mess it up, but Panera does. It tasted funny, and I should have listened to my taste-buds, but I think I ate most of it. I got sicker than I think Ive ever been before, and I absolutely could not miss work the next day because I had to take a financial (FINRA) exam. Lets just say I couldnt keep anything (solids, liquids [including water], stomach acids) in my body for about three days. It was truly, truly awful. I know mistakes happen in the kitchen, but whatever they did made me feel like dying. Thats why Im giving them 1 star.

Heres the deal, the restaurant was busy, and most of the tables were occupied, except for the dirty ones that had been ignored by the staff. While waiting for my meal to be prepared, I approached the drink station and observed the the variety of beverages to choose from, and a sticker indicating that one of the selections had expired the day before. I immediately contacted a manager, and notified him of this issue. The response floored me! He simply removed the expired date tag, told me that the product was fresh and just walked away. The manager did replace this product, the canteen wasnt washed and sanitized; just a brush off. My salad, oh yeah, that. Umm, how can consume anything from a place that wont even ensure that the tea is safe? I just disposed of my meal and left.
