Went there just yesterday with a fairly large group (about fifteen or so) from work to celebrate a co workers retirement after 43 years. We picked it because it is right around the corner from work. Ill make this short. The place possibly might not be used to a largish crowd just for a few drinks, and the area we were in had a couple of reserved tables, even though it was part of the bar area, as the waitress told us, and she did offer to put some tables together for us, but it was informal and people would be coming and going, so we declined. No one was going to eat anything anyhow. We were basically ignored by the lone bartender on duty when we got there. Literally. He did finally come by and to his defense, possibly thought we were waiting for a table, but if you were in business and saw twelve expectantly thirsty men with money in their pockets to spend, would you ignore them? One guy actually left, and the ONLY reason we stayed was because the guest of honor hadnt arrived yet, being detained at work, so we stayed. Finally, after ten minutes of watching the bartender put menus in front of couples and single patrons coming to the bar, we asked if we could place an order. Five full minutes after that, he did come and take the order for thirteen beers. We were just looking at each other stunned, and slowly it became apparent that possibly they didnt really want a large group at the bar. We did end up staying and we did manage to buy several rounds, but each time someone tried to buy one, it took several minutes to get one of several bartenders attention. I have never seen anything like it. I have been there several times for dinner and really enjoy this place otherwise, but I must admit; after yesterdays experience I wont go back. We ONLY stayed because several people were coming and going and that was our designated place.

The food was good and our actual waitress who took orders was knowledgeable and friendly. However, when the servers came with our dinners it became a comedy of errors. First the server didnt know if the sandwich he was holding was chicken or the beef dip. The servers had no idea who had ordered what item (we were a party of five). In my experience at other restaurants, even chains, the servers know exactly who ordered which item or if not, they at least know what they are holding in their hand and can ask who ordered it! Once we got the right food to the right people it turned out that 3 of the 5 orders were done incorrectly. I felt as though we were greatly inconveniencing the servers by asking them to bring the correct items. We actually had to ask for a couple of things twice! Eventually it all got straightened out, probably because our original waitress was appalled and got involved. While prices are more than reasonable, I dont know that I will return. Mistakes do happen, but I shouldnt feel that I am inconveniencing servers by asking for the item I actually ordered.

Went to Marios Spa in Aurora this weekend and got horrible service for the third time in a row.... the good ... no great part was that we discovered the wonderful Burntwood Tavern! We found this place by mistake, but what a glorious mistake it was! Food was awesome, décor was cool and rustic, and the wait staff was friendly and well trained! We will be taking everyone we know back for more. I got the Eggs benedict with salmon. I thought there would just be a little piece but the entire muffin was overflowing! And the flavors are outstanding! What a great find!

The food, drinks, atmosphere & entertainment are great. Good enough to bring me back every once in a while, unfortunately I never seem to get good service. Whether I go alone and sit at the bar, or with a group and sit at the bar - It takes forever to get service. (I was 1 of 3 people at the bar on a week day around 2:00 and it took over 10 minutes to even be acknowledged) Once served, it takes too long to get the drinks ordered and WAY too long for them to check back in. I always find myself having to flag someone down.

We went here for the first time for their happy hour. They have great happy hour options! We ordered two glasses of house cab and a mule, all of which were good. The only downside was the speed of service. We were seated at a table near the bar and saw our drinks put up on the end to be delivered. After about ten minutes of waiting for someone to run them to the table, we just walked up to the bar and asked for the drinks to be passed over.

Pretty darn good food in a GREAT atmosphere. I had the ruben for lunch on the Friday before Labor Day and it was absolutely fantastic. The bread was HUGE (at least 6" by 4") on each half. The meat was in little chunks, not slices like you get everywhere else, and the thousand island sauce was great, too. The only downfall was their fries. They were too soggy. I ordered them well done, and they still were like earthworms...

Nice, as are other Burntwood Taverns. Ive been there several times and found it ok. Nevertheless it often took a long time for the kitchen to prepare the meals. And this time the protein portion size was really too small (at least for me, active slim woman). I would have needed to order my entrée 3 times to have enough for a regular sized protein size (salmon). I went back home afterwards to still my hunger.

Easily the best sit down restaurant in Solon!! The interior is a rustic work of art and the menu pleases everyone from the monster burger eater to the salad lover! I have yet to be disappointed by a meal there!! My husbands a huge fan of their prime rib which is offered only on Saturday nights. They arent on the menu but make sure to ask for the warm pretzel sticks, they are complimentary and AMAZING!!! :-p

Have been coming here since it opened. It has gone downhill over the years. Came here for my birthday and it wasnt busy...service was very slow, our server was sick and barely came to check on us, the food came out one dish at a time and was cold by the time we all got our meals. Its s shame this used to be a good place to eat. Even after asking the manager to help we still got charged full price.
