My husband and I went in GC for lunch today, its thursday, and the place wasnt very busy and we were the only ones going in or out at the time. Well, Taylor C, the hostess/cashier, was on the phone. She had her backs to us, and never even turned around to acknowledge us. We waited longer than we should have, 9 minutes! And I had even coughed a couple times. We could hear what she was saying, and she was telling them all about the food, prices, hours, on and on about what GC is like. My husband turned to me and said, "Im giving her 1 more minute!" Right then Angel, a waitress that got tired of seeing us waiting, came to our rescue and took care of us. Even though Taylor the host/cashier was very rude, the food was very good! We have came in the evening and it didnt seem like the food was as freshly prepared as today. But we love Golden Corral, and will keep coming back to this one or the one near by. Oh, and by the way, Angel was excellent, and took very good care of us, and the others in our section. I was a waitress/ hostess for 20 plus yrs, and the 1st thing we were told was the customers 1st impression of the whole place is what they see when they walk in. Just sayin!

Dont go for the steak. You are going to be highly disappointed. I tried 3 times to get steak and it was improperly cooked; Over cooked, under cooked or bad cut gristle and fat only... Grill staff needs better training. I watched for a moment to see what the problem was and I found they were leaving the steak on the grill even when it flared up in flames. Occasional flair up is ok, but not 3 minutes under an open flame. A raw piece would over cook on the outside turning it to leather while he multitasked. He would come back to a charred piece which looked cooked (burnt) but when it was cut, it was cold red inside. Worse part, he would still offer it out. I like medium rare, but this was very well done outside, raw cold inside. The manager was no better at detecting the problem. Dessert station was a mess. It looked like people were eating out of the station. No clean up or tidiness. The staff did not look happy at all. Im guessing they are running them as a skeleton crew sucking the life out of them. At this rate, I dont see this place lasting much longer. Its a shame because it used to be soo good. Something changed.

On 9/11/2011, my family visited a Golden Corral for breakfast in Grove City Ohio. The service was appalling. Our order was taken by a woman who looked as though she did not want to be at work, did not offer us a childs cup or drink for our 1 year old, and filled our soft drinks up only to half full. We took our seat, only to have the waitress visit our table once to get us the childs drink cup (after 5 minutes of waiting). She spent the rest of the time talking excessively with another set of customers about personal things, while our drinks were left empty and only came to check on us as we were leaving. The food itself was sub par, things cooked entirely too much, or tasted as if they had been sitting out for long periods of time (french toast should not be crispy like regular toast). All in all it was not a pleasurable experience, and not worth the $21 dollars I spent. I shall not be frequenting this establishment in the future and shall inform friends and colleagues to avoid it as well.

Worse experience Ive ever had at ANY buffet. This place is so dirty, food and garbage all over the floor. The staff clearly has no interest in cleaning, most likely because there was no management to be seen. All of the employees sat behind the empty, filthy buffet and played on their phones while customers stood around waiting for food. What food we did get was bland, rubbery or old as dirt. We paid $47 for ice cream and a brownie and I didnt even get to meet Jeff Foxworthy. The only good i have to say is Shannon our server was decent. She payed attention to our needs and seamed to be the only one working. Her section was actually cleaned with a small cordless vacuum she was made to purchase on her own. No wonder this place is dirty, they make their employees purchase their own cleaning equipment. Piss poor management.

Food was gross looking everything was out. Even for a buffet it was awful and looked unsanitary. The grill guy "chef paul" or whatever was rude and yelling at the guest. Yelled at wait staff loud enough for everyone to hear how he wasnt the one who cut the meat he just cooked it. Food was everywhere. The only thing that saved our experience was the waitress who tried everything she could to make our visit pleasant. Her section was clearly packed but she still did her best never getting frustrated for guest to see. Trying her best to acomedate even with the crazy guest who requested she get them rolls and fresh steak off the buffet line. I havent been to golden coral in a long long time and I will not be returning EVER!!!

3 strikes and your OUT!! Last 3 times eating there, the food has been cold, to lukewarm, and you can tell it has been sitting there for some time. I constantly ask for FRESH food, and I wait for it. (which I shouldnt have too), They put FRESH food on TOP of the OLD food.. NOT GOOD!! SAME OLD CRAP, never anything NEW. Once in a great moon, we get a decent server...that keeps on top of our refills and clearing the plates... But I am done spending $50-60 bucks there for crap food.. not to mention the last 3 times we have been there, we all seem to get the Hershey squirts! ONLY thing really good there are the BROWNIES!!!! :)

I am forced to give 1 star though if I could have my way I would rate ZERO! Because that is what this Golden Corral earned last night! I paid $47.00 for ice cream basically. Most of the entree dishes were empty, people were literally standing in line for food to come out. The entire restaurant was filthy, our server was terribly unprofessional, what with hugging on and working it for a tip. What very little "food" we did muster on our plates was not fully cooked or absolutely tasteless! A horrible experience (3rd time in a row) and I vow never to return. THREE STRIKES...YOURE OUT GOLDEN CORRAL!

The food was good. But the manager guy, the short one, seemed rude to his employees. In turn creating a more upsetting environment. The bathrooms were disgusting, as a pregnant woman who just ate, going into a bathroom that smelled of vomit, and what seemed like vomit on every garbage can, and urine or feces on every toilet seat, does not make me happy. Almost $40 for me and my husband to eat. I was not impressed. The only thing I can say was descent about this place was the food, and that the upset staff were still trying to be nice.

Golden Corral three years ago, use to be a great place to eat. Being there once in three years, daughter requested her birthday dinner there in Grove City. Food was not being properly filled or looked as it sat for sometime. Desert bar was really lean, roll station held product not fresh. Counters around the food looked unclean. First receive my coffee cup, it was visually dirty. Even the salt and peper shakers were greasy. Golden Corral has really changed, not just here but most places. Shame because we use to go once twice a week.
