After living in Japan I wasnt sure what to expect from Moshi. Ive had sushi elsewhere in the states and it wasnt nearly as expensive or as small as this place. I order 5 pieces of nigiri and the total was about $20 (lunchtime): 2 unagi, 1 fatty tuna, and 2 mackerel. I started doing the math and basically this stuff is about 8 times the price of Tokyo, yes, this is Ohio, but an 800% price is difference is insane (considering size of each piece, cost per piece) especially when compared to other places in the Midwest (seriously, the sushi place at Ohare Intl. is actually cheaper and you get more). So lets get over the price, and down to the quality and taste. Mackerel- good, I added Shiso to each piece and Im very glad they had that so kudos!!!! Really the best of the bunch and most authentic tasting. Unagi- small sliver, too much skin and char when coupled with the eel sauce left little to enjoy of the meat itself Fatty Tuna- this was awful. The slice was thin like a piece of cheap bacon and wrapped around around the rice like wrapping paper. Totally lost the texture and taste of the meat and at $7 for a piece = absolutely insane. One last thing to mention, the sushi is so small. Easily half the size and half the amount of rice that Ive seen in sushi everywhere else. Not sure why they skimp on the cheapest ingredient, I guess to proportion it out with the fish. Also, the rice itself wasnt prepared well as it fell apart for nearly every piece. Ill attribute it to the college kids they have making it.

I ate in the restaurant once at the sushi bar, and loved the atmosphere. very classy, but I felt cozy with my casual wear. I go here often to do take out, which I love. they offer you a glass of water while you wait for your food. I had a couple of problems that I felt were handled very professionally. On one occasion, I thought I had enough money for my take out. Silly little misstep on my part. The manager was nice enough to hold my food, which was sushi, until I came back with more money. One another occasion, I thought the Asari Miso Soup came with the dinner. I had ordered it instead of the regular Miso soup. The manager let me have it as the same price as the regular Miso soup, which came with the dinner. I felt like they would rather keep me as a customer than to enforce any rules that I did not know about. It was not an issue to them. I now know what I can order with the Dinner platter, which I highly recommend, and what I cannot. The only thing I do not like about it is, Moshi Sushi shares the parking lot with The Rusty Bucket, Genis Ice Cream, and anybody who comes to visit one of the residents who live in the condos above the restaurants. I am always fighting for a place, and have to circle several times. I do order from home, and feel there is a hassle to park across the street on Main just to pick up food. They need to have a spot for people who just want to pick up food. Otherwise, I love it.

Disclaimer: I only have only been here once and I only ordered sushi and edamame. For an $11 sushi roll, I only got 5 pieces, and they werent even big pieces. So I paid over $2 per piece of sushi, and I only received what would be a half-roll at other sushi restaurants. When ordering a big, fancy roll, I get at least 9 pieces at other sushi restaurants and they are big pieces. The girl sitting next to me ordered a Philadelphia roll ($6), and there were only 6 pieces and the pieces were TINY (the diameter of a nickel). So she paid $1 per TINY piece of sushi. I will not be going back here because you do not get enough sushi for the price. On the plus side, the staff were very nice and the service was excellent.

I am so picky about sushi. I eat here about once per week. Here are a few of the things I really like about this place: 1. The sushi roll pieces are not gigantic--I dont like eating sushi that I cant fit into my mouth! 2. Quick service--the dining atmosphere is not rushed at all but the service is quick. 3. The best California roll ever. They treat the California roll with respect. 4. Excellent vegetarian choices. 5. They have this awesome Spicy Tuna Panini which is not really a panini. You have to try it! Its very filling so I suggest sharing it. Trust me on this one--its good.

I lived in Hawaii for 4 years and Sushi became a regular part of my diet. My wife is Korean and is very particular about the freshness of all ingredients. We both absolutely love this place. I think it has the best spicy tuna roll I have ever had. I would recommend sticking with the traditional rolls and avoid their specialty rolls. They are okay, but the traditional ones are spot on delicious. For an after diner treat I recommend going to the Jenis next door.

I had much higher expectations for this place according to their star rating and location. The sushi that I ordered was pathetic. Dry rice, and way too much of it. They might as well of served me uncooked rice! Mediocare salmon at best, and I could barely taste the cream cheese and avocado because there was such a small amount of it! If somebody ever suggests this place to you, scream in a utter frenzy panic and run FAR FAR away.

Very deceiving descriptions of dishes in the menu. " Vegetarian dinner platter" included shrimp tempura? Sausage dumplings? . Service is friendly however rather inconsistent. Food used to be much better. Experience over all now is just a tummy filler. If you think you are coming to enjoy Japanese food....I suggest you buy a cookbook and prepare it yourself.

WARNING: STAY AWAY! The sushi was nothing better than mediocre, for mainly promoting sushi I would expect top notch sushi but it was dry over cooked rice wrapped around in fake fish and disgusting vegetables. True sushi chefs would not prepare something like that, truly an embarrassment to sushi itself, its just a big roll of deplorables.

Within walking distance from any Bexley house, Moshi Sushi is a modern sushi experience, with a classic atmosphere. The service is excellent, and the sushi is delicious. My friends and I come here at least once a month for lunch, and never get anything less than we pay for. Try their spicy salmon roll, you wont be disappointed.

Our service was great. We were on a date, and the server took time to turn off the news and turn on music without us even asking. The sushi is pretty expensive for what it was (what sushi isnt?), but overall our experience was pretty good! Also has a nice patio area.
