This place is usually hopping and has a fun atmosphere, there are normally bands booked for the summer and its a great hang out place to grab a drink and a bite to eat. The food is amazing! Great menu thats not 8 pages long, a little something for everybody. Sometimes service falls a little behind and its understandable with how packed it gets. Gotta cut the girls a break when they try to hunt down people who arent actually sitting at a table. Table space is limited, get there early of you want to grab a seat and hold onto it for the evening. Corn hole can be played on the deck and theres an outside bar thats shaded to sit at. Overall great place, try it out sometime, especially if you like to people watch. There are always some interesting characters.

I usually dont write reviews but I just had to for this place! We have been to every restaurant on Portage Lakes and this one is by far our favorite. We usually boat there and eat on the patio, there are plenty of docks and seating, the staff is friendly and the food is amazing. The burgers, fries and onion rings are out of this world and the shrimp tacos and wings are the best Ive had anywhere. There are two bars on location and the patio is huge. I have nothing but good things to say and I really think this one should be on Triple D. Keep it up guys!

Its not a restaurant, its a bar. Expect to get service like its a bar, that doesnt mean its bad service, its just different. Food was good. Atmosphere was a bit dive-ish, but nice. Open regular hours in the wintertime, packed in the summer. Big shots. Heavy drinks. Good prices. Its an experience. Each time its either better or worse. Try it out for yourself. It got a five because I enjoyed myself. We dont know one another, so you might not have as much fun. Like I said: try it out for yourself.

DO NOT USE YOUR BANK CARD I bought 2 draft beers $5 ea. $10 total I forgot to close my tab. I went back the next day less than 24H & they couldnt produce a receipt l never signed a bill or even got a bill they charged me $20 by the time it cleared on Tuesday it was $23.50. The owner LISA was rude & never even called me to clear the issue after leaving her my name number & last 4 digits of my bank card. FRAUD ALEART one of her bar tenders are stealing.

After 25+ years of going to the UPPER DECK, this is sadly the LAST TIME! After a VERY large bill and unacceptable service they dared to complain about a tip after it wasnt appreciated! Gratuity is earned as a reward. I know this because I have worked in the industry. Sadly we are not the only party to this unbelievable experience! Band was great!! Best wishes on cleaning up the service & poor attitude of a few staff members!!

The owner Lisa is the most amazing person i have ever met. This place has the best food on the water hands down. The Upper Deck has the cheapest drinks yet the best drinks on the entire lakes system. If you are looking for fun and entertainment, great food, sunshine and water then come to the most Put-In-Bay type bar/restaurant in the Portage Lakes or Akron for that matter, then head out to the Upper Deck Bar & Grill

Had a poor experience years ago but theyve improved immensely. Drinks were great. App was perfect. We came back to try the food tonight because the waitress was great. 4/4 of the partys food was excellent/ made 100% correctly. The waitress was the reason we returned because she insisted everything improved and she knew the menu. Great. Will come back again. I just hope its that perfect when its insanely busy.

April 30, 2015 ALL DAY! 2 Hard or Soft Tacos $1.50 Taco Salad $4.99 Reuben w/ Fries $7.99 This is the advertised menu, I walked in for my carryout and they charged me 5.99, for the Taco Salad, when I told the RUDE waitress she made a mistake she said everyone makes a mistake and it was too bad that was the price the price now. I will never be back to this dive! Rude, dirty, and just plain nasty!

You must remember that the kitchen is very small and on a crowded day or night you could wait a long, long time. I have waited here a long time for my meal and I have had good experiences here. It is inexpensive and very casual. Do not go when it is crowded and hope to eat. I am about to head over for dinner - the same dinner I had two weeks ago. Very good and priced right.

Food is terrible, wait is forever, waitresses are rude, and the manager is also. Absolutely worst restaurant Ive ever been to, waited 45 minutes for a burger that was worse than McDonalds. When I expressed my concerns to the manager her response was I cant do anything, and when I said I wasnt returning she said "I dont care" Dont waste your time!!

Very crowded at 9pm on Saturday night but was able to still find a seat. Nobody was coming around to serve us so we had to stand around the extremely crowded lower bar to get served. They were very quick and attentive when getting our drinks though. The bathrooms were surprisingly clean for porta potties.

The establishment is very disorganized. The service was extremely slow - and it should be noted that it was not busy when we were there. Our lunch of salads and sandwiches took over 40 minutes to arrive. Service staff was not friendly or timely. Food was sub-par. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Great specials. I do like their salmon but. Live bands often. Outdoor space overlooks a channel opening into the west reservoir of the Portage Lakes. Often packed on weekends. Favorite hangout place for motorcyclists.

I enjoy the atmosphere, but the kitchen has been really slow every time we have been there. Yesterday it took 50 minutes for us to get an order of nachos. But...it is a fun place to tie up your boat and hang out.

My friend and I were there after 8 p.m. last Sunday. We had excellent BLTs. Service was prompt and friendly. The prices were very reasonable. It was packed to the gills but the servers were on top of everything.

The inside is alright but the patio bar area is awesome. Right on the lake. Beers and burgers as well as other items. Regular bar food but the service has been great every time I have been there.

Went here on July 22 for my birthday. Had bbq chicken wings. Probably the best wings I have ever had. They were crunchy, yet soft. Compliments to the chefs. The live music was also very nice!

Great place...tiny little kitchen that produces the best bar food around. Super fun outdoor area with bands in the summer and cozy little corner indoors for acoustic acts in the winter.
