I ate here for lunch while working at a client in Winston (Im from Greensboro) and I thought it was a great little dive for lunch. It was pretty busy, so it must be some kind of popular. My waitress wouldnt let my glass become empty, the food came out in a reasonable amount of time and was hot, fresh, and delicious, the wall decorations were really cute, and you know the wait staff and busers know what theyre doing b/c those empty tables got cleaned off before I realized they were even empty. It was pretty clean, even for being so busy. I recommend it if you like regular ol home cooking and need a good place to stop for lunch. Prices were very reasonable as well.

It was good. The pork loin was tender and flavorful. The gravy was great while it was hot, but it was on the cuso of beginning to congeal. Good experience overall though. I used to be in there once a week with my cigar buddies who were cops then. Today was the first time in months. The new furniture is well positioned and comfortable. It seemed brighter, too, but Im not sure why. The only complaint was the plain white bread. No matter. I remember my friend Bill always getting Texas Toast. Ill make the change next time.

Visited on a Wednesday morning. Atmosphere is very homie and comfortable (warm lighting, high ceilings, tables are enclosed so there is alot of privacy while you eat). Lavatories are small, but clean and new (door knobs are not worn, wood well maintained). Opens early (6am) and prices are low enough to make coming here a habit. Decor is historical (Theodore Roosevelt, J. Edgar Hoover, city bldgs etc.) Patrons are known by name. Food was delicious, the basics, but done well.

Family run restaurant been there forever. I go here regularly for lunch and occasionally for dinner before baseball game. Always good prices and wait staff hustles, so deserve a good tip. All dishes are good, specialties are Greek and hamburger. Serve breakfast too, so can eat there any time weekdays, unfortunately closed on weekends. You can see most anyone in town eating here.

I have been going to this restaurant for over 20 years now. It is really one of the jewels of the non franchise restaurants in Winston-Salem. Their breakfast lunch and dinners are all great. They have some of he best fried chicken livers I have ever had on Fridays, and their homemade coconut pie is to die for.

I would give it a give but their breakfast is lacking these days. The hasbrowns were flavorless and the sausage which was a bit too over cooked and unecessarily flat. I will say their lunch and dinner is always on point. No complaint there.

Lunch at Anamias was good, the service was prompt and the portions were fair sized. I believe they need to work the quality, if they want to compete as a first rate Mexican restaurant in a very tough market.

Ever since I was a very young boy, I knew that when my father, Wade Cornelius, brought us to the Lighthouse, we were going to eat well. It hasnt changed a bit.
