Tokyo Houses sushi is consistently great and it is one of the best Japanese restaurants around! I usually get their Philly Roll, Rainbow Roll, Naruto Roll (Roll with cucumber instead of your traditional rice roll) which is really good if you dont want to eat a lot of rice. I also enjoy their hibachi selections like choice of two where I get chicken and steak. I used to get their chicken pad thai a lot until I discovered I was allergic to shellfish, which was really unfortunate because it was one of my favorite dishes there. (Chicken Pad Thai has oyster sauce in it) Overall, I really recommend this restaurant, I honestly dont get some of the bad reviews...Ive never had bad service or bad food here, ever, and I go here a lot. Go out and see for yourself :)

I am sorry I have to be blunt and honest here. If someone actually thinks this is the best sushi place in Raleigh then they dont know sushi at all. The fish they use is adequate at best. To be honest their sushi is on the same level as the Chinese Buffet located directly in front of them and there its all you can eat for the same price is 2 rolls at Tokyo House. There are a couple of local sushi bars that actually get their fish flown in from Japan and are way more authentic than this place. What is even worse is the other "traditional" Japanese dishes. The recipes are so bland that it is obvious that they are prepared by someone with no knowledge of that Japanese food is. You would be way better off spending your money elsewhere.

The food is great -- if you dont have taste buds! This place is disgusting -- the food is bland. I ordered Hibachi Chicken -- and they served it with the chicken youd expect from a Chinese restaurant and it was horribly runny. The rice was actually burnt ... how anyone can burn rice is a conundrum ... And the sushi was -- not that great. Obviously you get what you pay for and if youve never been to a first-rate Japanese restaurant youll think it is okay at best. The highlight of the meal was the green tea ice cream. Thank God they didnt make that. Overall food is below par.

Real Japanese, broad menu Went in 6:30 on a Friday, got seated right away. The wait staff was very attentive and helpful. The food is really good and portions just right. I recommend the squid salad and edamame for appetizer, and sushi for the entree. They also have plenty of cooked entrees like pad Thai, udon noodles, and hibachi dishes. You really cant go wrong. They also have a few tables where you can eat in the traditional Japanese style: kneeling on a pillow, with the table about 2 feet high.

Just finished a grand meal at the Tokyo House Japanese Restaurant and Sushi Bar, located at 7439 Six Forks Road, here in Raleigh, NC. Best fresh Sushi around. Plus the staff is always very nice and service is excellent, too. I highly recommend this restaurant if you appreciate good Sushi. And dont forget to end your meal with their Green Tea Ice Cream. Ummmm, good. You wont regret going to the Tokyo House. It is always a "Satisfying Experience" for me.

I tried this place for the first time last night and I was very impressed. Not only did we get hand towels to wipe our face and hands, but we also had quick service. The food was hot and tasty. My one gripe is how they put the rice to the side instead of including it with the dish. I like to have my food all together or at least they couldve asked where I want the rice. Other than that, if you want some tasty Japanese, this is the place for you.

My husband and I both love sushi and have tried lots of sushi bars since moving to Raleigh and none compare to the quality of Tokyo House. Weve eaten there at least 10 times and they are always consistently great. The Scary Jerry specialty roll is our absolute fav! The fish is fresh and prepared perfectly. The chefs are skilled and very friendly. Ive always had the best experience here and love the atmosphere! Love the sushi!

My rating is based on their Thai Basil Chicken. I wasnt in a sushi mood. This is THE worst Asian dish Ive ever had. And Asian is my fave so Ive had plenty. The dish lacked flavor in every aspect, pepper flakes were the dominant flavor. Chicken was very very dry, probably reheated. Broccoli was raw. Menu says brown rice, I was served white rice. It was a to-go order so couldnt change it.

Such a gem! The food and service were both incredible. I had the Philadelphia roll, which was full of flavor, and the Miso Ramen, which was a huge portion and the absolute perfect winter dish. The sushi isnt BOGO, but thats okay because the prices are very fair. If you are seeking a more authentic Japanese meal, rather than a trendy, mayo-filled experience, go here.

My father and I stopped in here around 5:00 pm. The appetizer of salad and soup was great. I should have stuck with my original choice for what I wanted to eat, but I changed to something else. My father had what I originally had decided on. Look carefully over the menu to see what you would like to eat. I appreciate the employees greeting me as I walked in.

The host was polite and pleasant, my drink was always refilled before it was empty, the place is clean and nicely laid out. The sushi was fresh and tasty, the ramen, perfectly cooked. The price is excellent, and the portions were perfect. The wait staff were friendly and not the least bit pushy about ordering more food. I will definitely be back!

I have been to literally hundreds of places from end to end in this country looking for good sushi and a great sushi chef. This place is the second best place I have EVER been to, but not by much, and is no where near the most expensive. EXCELLENT SUSHI! Great atmosphere! Awesome sushi chef! VERY CLEAN!

The food here is great at a reasonable price. If you have never had fried green tea ice cream I highly suggest giving it a shot. I started going to this location with my parents when I was quite young, and I am very happy to have begun taking my son with me now!

Nice atmosphere, Great food! Had the Hibachi Chicken and it was a huge portion and delicious! The chicken was tender, the mushrooms and other veggies were perfectly prepared, very fresh and tasty. The service was attentive but not fussy. Will go back for sushi!
