Let me tell you all something from the bottom of my heart. Do not go eat at Jams Deli. This is something that is becoming very personal to me because the man who runs that company does not deserve the nice people that work for him or the nice people that come pay for his food. He is constantly openly racist, he degrades and insults every single one of his employees loudly and to their faces in front of others. Calling them retarded or special. He does not follow many restaurant guidelines by the health administration including having two separate sinks to cut fresh vegetables and raw meat in. Recently he has stolen money owed to me, and that was the last straw. This man does not deserve anything more than to watch his crooked establishment that hes built for 28 years tumble to the ground at his feet. Do not go eat at this establishment. Come see me at Carolinas Deli and get some real food served by people who care about their jobs because they work for good people.

Jams is a retro 50s-60s diner/deli and one of the best lunch spots in Greensboro. I own a shop just 100 yards or so from them and therefore I, and many of my employees eat there almost daily for lunch. We are always met with a smile and very speedy service. The food is really tremendous! I would venture Jams has one of the best burgers in town. I recommend the Southern style burger, or their Mushroom Swiss burger. You can get it cooked just about any way you like. If you arent a burger person, the Ultimate Chicken and Cheese sub is super--I would recommend extra cheese on it. And on Friday, the Fish Sandwich is a TRUE winner!! This is an amazing sandwich served on a hamburger bun. They have great curly fries and home style potato chips, as well as potato salad and pasta salad. Finally, if you still have room for dessert, the cheesecake will put you right over the edge. Seriously, we really love Jams and so will you.

I went to check out Jams deli because I wanted to find a good local deli, and the reviews were really good. I was highly disappointed. I ordered an Italian sub w/ curly fries ( I sampled the potato salad, and decided to go with the curly fries, my first warning sign.) The sub was all bread, very little meat, and the meat it did contain was of POOR quality. My italian sub tasted more like a bologna sandwich. Curly fires were decent, but frozen. Service was ok. Atmosphere was fine, traditional diner style atmosphere. Not sure who eats at this place but it wont be me ever again. Lastly, they have a sign up trying to get diners to petition Guy Fieri to come there for Diners Drive-ins and Dives. What a joke?!?! they actually think they are in that league?!? The only show they are worthy to be on is Ramseys Kitchen Nightmares.

People like Carolinas Diner, and Ill admit, its a great place. Very solid stuff. But for my money, it doesnt get much better than Jams. Their burgers are leaps and bounds better than the Diner, and the atmosphere is like something out of a David Lynch film, in the best way possible. Plus, the staff feels more real and less artificially perky than its rival. If you want a good burger (or fantastic sandwich, for that matter), and Carolinas is too crowded, come here. Only caveat is their early closing times, but hey, the food is so good it doesnt matter.

It had been a while since I last visited Jams and the folks were extremely nice but the sandwich just wasnt good. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich but it was not grilled. You could easily tell that the chicken (which was a think square piece) was microwaved and extremely rubbery. It did come with curly fries which were okay but no pickle. Im not saying not to go to Jams but do not order the grilled chicken sandwich.

Stopped in here after seeing they were trying to be on Diners, Drive ins and dives. A little disappointed. Nothing original on the menu. I ordered cheeseburger and curly fries. Burger was just a normal burger. It might have even been frozen beef and the fries I could have got better at Arby's. Not very environmentally friend either enough styrofoam there to build an arc

5707 West Friendly Avenue THUMBS WAY UP! The food is AMAZING! The portions are huge for the cheap cheap price! The only negative I can think of is the parking. Word of advice, go early before the lunch crowd or forget finding a place to park. Other than that, the Food is well worth it! I will be dining here again!

Though the restaurant seating leaves little in the way of privacy, they did have vegetarian options that were more than sufficient to my needs and cooked just the way providing a refreshing take on an often bleak deli dining experience. Cooked just as fast as you want, but you wont have to ask.

A great local restaurant! This is a locally owned & operated restaurant. The owner is very hands on, and makes sure that he & his employees only put out the best, fresh food to his customers. The staff is friendly, the decor is nice, and the play is clean.

I have visited Jams Deli on multiple occasions. Everything has been great with the exception of last nights order. I ordered something to go and didnt notice until it was too late that it was not what I ordered. Very friendly staff.

Great local restaurant. A good variety of American fare, sandwiches and burgers. The interior is a little dated, which gives it a more old fashioned diner like atmosphere. A good place to meet up with friends or to go with kids.

Always love eating at Jams. Chris and his staff always friendly. One of my favorites is the fish sandwich on nice roll with tartar sauce and lots of curly fries. Only item I did not like in the past was the hot dogs.

A neat little sandwich shop spot. I got the chicken and cheese sandwich which was delicious and their curly fries which, as the other reviews say, were great.

Typical deli fare for the area. Everything from chicken fingers to Gyros to Italian subs. There should be something on the menu for anyone in your group.

We love going to eat here. The atmosphere is not stuffy at all. In fact, it is fun, light and the food is awesome! The hot dogs can NOT be beat!

Sandwich was very sad. Homemade chips were really good and the peanut butter cheesecake was the best ever. Service was good.

Good place for a relaxed lunch, but pretty expensive. Regardless, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal.

Small, local, and tasty. Definitely worth a stop over the big chain restaurants in the area.
