This was a horrible experience. I went looking for a birthday cake for a friends birthday and was extremely happy when I found what seemed to be nice bakery that I really thought would do the perfect job. They were very rude inside and did nit greet me or attempt to help me make a choice. The seemed unmoved by my presence and gladly overlooked me. Once I was finally helped and picked out a cake, I discussed with a very nonchalant bakery employee exactly how I preferred them to write the message on top of the cake.. she still messed it up (and Im not at all a picky person) but it just went completely against what we had JUST discussed about 2 minutes prior. After pondering over the cake, I finally just decided I definitely wanted them to re-write the name because I feel as though my money should guarantee me quality service that meets my expectations. The employee seemed very annoyed and before she could finish trying to talk me out of the decision I had made, the "manager" budded in very rudely, "do you want your money back? Because if you dont want the cake, I can just give you your money back.." WOW... i was blown away at the fact that they were so boldly and blatantly rude! I calmly asked, "do you want my business?" Once I asked for the manager and then district manager, I was informed this was a "family owned" business. The manager quickly got EXTREMELY nice. I had absolutely NO WORDS for him at all. I felt hurt and disrespected. My friends liked the outside of the cake , it was just a plain red velvet cake with white icing and a cute little design on it. However, the taste was not at all as we had expected. It was very dense and gritty. I was not pleased. I definitely would NOT recommend this bakery.

I went to Delicious for a cake tasting, and the cake isnt the only thing that left a bad taste in my mouth. Apart from the chocolate cake being BURNT, the margarita cake being only yellow cake (not as described with tequila syrup in the batter), and the buttercream frosting being more of a weak whipped cream (not worth the calories at all!), the owner Ben was completely rude and unwilling to work with what we had in mind. I asked if they would change the icing to add more sugar or substitute the buttercream for cream cheese (though not much better), he said absolutely not. He said that as a bride, I wouldnt even eat the cake, and I needed to get a cake that would appeal more to the masses rather than the sugary cake from places like Maxie Bs. Let me tell you, Maxie Bs was 15 times more professional, the cake tasted 100 times better, and they allowed us to try more options for the price of the tasting. They said they would alter the cake to make it however we wanted (though it tasted perfect). That, and with Maxie Bs, I only had to call once to make an appointment. With Delicious, I had to call no less than 7 times. I should have taken that as a warning.

Normally our family has good experiences with this bakery I recently ordered a cake for my sons 6th birthday and the experience was anything but, the cake was not what I wanted and when I called they assured me that everything would be fine and to bring the cake back they would either refund my money or give me another cake when I took the cake back they said I had to talk to the manager who was not in and when I spoke with him the next day he was very rude he was upset because another customer heard that I said the cake was nasty which it was. So that made him upset and he stated that he would refund half the money for the cake, he never apologized for anything, my sons birthday was ruined he never even got any of his own birthday cake and the guest that did taste the cake were disgusted, besides the fact that they ruined his birthday and the manager was very rude he also asked that I never come back to the store, I never got angry with them I never cursed or even raised my voice and to be treated this way was insulting, this business knows nothing about customer service and will never receive any business from me or my family again!

I absolutely love Delicious Bakery, its one of the things I miss most about living in Greensboro (and probably a good thing its a good distance away, because I could easily put on the pounds, its so awesome ;) ). Anyways, I had them do my wedding cake, and I absolutely loved it. The cake tasting was free with the purchase of your wedding cake through them, which was great. Also, the Manager was really easy to work with, and very professional. He would listen to what I wanted, tell me the pros and/or cons of doing a cake a certain way, and would let me make an informed decision. It certainly took the pressure off of me, and just let him tell me the various aspects of baking that I would have never thought of. At times the manager seemed a little rough around the edges, but overall I thought they had great service, really listened to me and what I wanted, had both WoNdErFuL tasting and beautiful cake for such an important day! Thanks!!!!

Wont let me leave it with no star I went in to pick up cinnamon buns not expecting them to have over an inch of cake frosting on top..Decided against it. They were rude about that. I picked out three apple turnovers as well as two cherry turnovers and four sticky buns. When I took them to the function, one person ate half of a cherry turnover which ended up having cherry pie filling like what would come out of a can. She said that it was awful and so did the person who ate part of a sticky bun. I had also ordered cupcakes to pick up later. After going back in and having not only the lady behind the counter act rude to me as well as the manager be nasty and then telling me that if I didnt like what they had just not to come back. That was the first and last time I had ever been in there. I honestly want to talk to the store manager.

This is a great place for cupcakes. Cakes - not so much. Their cupcakes are really moist and beautifully decorated with flowers. After tasting their wide variety of cupcakes - some really good; others too overwhelming like they were over-thinking the flavors - sometimes less is more [i.e. carrot, banana walnut, spice, hummingbird]. I ordered a layer cake for my moms birthday and compared to the cupcakes it is unbelievably dry and somewhat flavorless. The layers of the cake are so thin and dry. I know the cake had to be refrigerated but it had to be at least a few days old. I asked for fondant icing and polka dots - the flavor of it was metallic and very unappetizing. Stay away from the fondant. So if you want something from Delicious thats worth the money - stick with the cupcakes.

Never disappointed! They have the best quiche Ive ever had! Swiss Mushroom & Spinach Feta. They are kind enough to heat it for you too. I was referred here for their Chai Tea , half/ half, which is awesome!! If you are a fan of red velvet, you must try their red velvet cheese cake bars! My Mother loved their lemon chess bars, shes a tough food critic. I had a cookie once, it was very tastey, white chocolate macadamian nut. Yum! As I journey to better healty, since December 2016, I no longer keep these treats in home, once a month I indulge in a serving. Im still losing weight and inches by not depriving myself. Stop by today, dont delay, everything in moderation.
